Brayden Schenn found the back of the net in a 3-2 overtime win against Carolina Monday night.
Schenn ended a five-game point drought. He has scored six goals this season, but he only has two assists in 19 contests. Schenn entered the league with such promise and at the age of 24 he certainly can't be written off, but the odds of him developing into a major fantasy contributor are waning. Nov 24 - 6:28 AM

Brayden Schenn is slated to skate with Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek on Tuesday night.

"It's a good opportunity for me," said Schenn, who was a healthy scratch Saturday. "If it sticks tomorrow, I will be ready to play with those guys and play a solid game." He has five goals and seven points in 15 games this season.
Nov 16 - 5:56 PM

Brayden Schenn will be a healthy scratch in Saturday's game against Carolina.

Schenn is tied for the team lead in goals, but coach Dave Hakstrol isn't happy with his game of late. "Things haven't gone great over the last couple of games, so he's just out for the night," said Hakstol. Pierre-Edouard Bellemare will take his spot in the lineup.
Nov 14 - 1:41 PM

Brayden Schenn scored two goals in Tuesday's 4-3 OT loss to Buffalo.

Schenn did all his damage in the third period and both times, the Flyers were down by a goal when he scored. The 24-year-old has four goals and one assist in seven games this season. Chris VandeVelde also scored for Philadelphia on Tuesday night.
Oct 27 - 10:33 PM

Brayden Schenn is expected to play on Saturday after missing Wednesday's contest with an upper body injury.

Schenn has two goals and three points in five games thus far after a 47 point campaign last season. He has value in deeper pools and much is still expected out of the 24-year-old who went fifth overall in the 2009 Draft.
Oct 24 - 8:52 AM

Brayden Schenn will miss Wednesday's game versus Boston due to an upper-body injury.

He was projected to play with R.J. Umberger and Scott Laughton. Sam Gagner, who was going to be a healthy scratch, will probably get a chance to play because of Schenn's absence.
Oct 21 - 6:08 PM

Bradyon Schenn's second goal of the season was the winner in a 1-0 Flyers win over Florida.

Schenn knocked in a rebound of a Sam Gagner shot and that was enough to give head coach Dave Hakstol his first NHL victory in his young career. Sean Couturier had the secondary assist as the trio saw second power play time. Schenn had 18 goals and 47 points last season and has both Flyers goals this season. He is worth a shot in deeper pools as he could get 50-55 points this season.
Oct 12 - 9:59 PM

Brayden Schenn scored a goal in Philadelphia's 3-2 overtime loss Thursday night.

There was a time when it looked like Schenn might actually be the odd man out with Philadelphia this season, so it's particularly encouraging to see him start the season on a high note. He had 18 goals and 47 points in 82 contests in 2014-15.
Oct 9 - 9:03 AM

Brayden Schenn ended the pre-season on the left wing with San Gagner and Wayne Simmonds.

Schenn was moved around a lot during pre-season action and it looks like he will not start the season on the wing with Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek. It looks like Michael Raffl should play on the top line with Giroux. While Schenn could see first power play time, he may be falling out of favor with the Flyers. Look for a 40-50 point season from the former first round pick.
Oct 3 - 9:11 AM

Brayden Schenn might be falling out of favor in Philadelphia.

Flyers GM Ron Hextall offered a rather tepid assessment of Schenn. "Brayden's been OK," Hextall said. "It's training camp. It's early. … I think we all know where he is and what is and that he prefers to play the right side. We'll see where it goes." The Flyers have a considerable amount of competition for forward spots, which might end up leading to a trade. Schenn is still just 24 and has a lot of upside, but he also hasn't quite lived up to expectations so far. He's set to become a restricted free agent this summer and the Flyers indicated back in July that they were not in a hurry to re-sign him just yet. Take all this with a grain of salt though as it still wouldn't be surprising to see him stay with the Flyers.
Sep 24 - 7:01 PM

Flyers GM Ron Hextall isn't planning on re-signing Brayden Schenn yet.

Schenn will still be a restricted free agent next summer, so it's not imperative that the Flyers sign him in the near future. That being said, the question was raised after Philadelphia handed Sean Couturier a six-year, $25.98 million contract. Schenn still has a lot to prove, so determining fair value for him on a long-term deal would be challenging. He had 18 goals and 47 points in 82 contests last season.
Jul 31 - 10:56 AM

Brayden Schenn has been a healthy scratch for Canada's first four games at the IIHF World Championship.

The Canadians have a deep roster up front and Schenn hasn't been given a chance to get into the fold yet. Philadelphia teammate Claude Giroux has four points (one goal, three assists) in four games for Team Canada at the tournament.
May 7 - 11:35 AM

The NHL has named Brayden Schenn as the second star of the week for the period ending Apr. 5.

He registered three goals and three assists over three matches. Two of Schenn's markers were game winners. Prior to last week, the 23-year-old forward was in the middle of an awful scoring drought, with four points in 14 games.
Apr 6 - 2:30 PM

Brayden Schenn scored a goal and added two assists as the Philadelphia Flyers continued their domination over the Pittsburgh Penguins Sunday.

The Flyers beat the visiting Pens 4-1, the eighth time in a row that Philly has prevailed over their cross-state rivals, dating back to last season. Schenn, who scored two goals in the Flyers' 4-1 victory in Pittsburgh Wednesday night, now has 17 goals and 28 assists on the season. Teammate Jakub Voracek also had a productive game for Philadelphia, scoring his 22nd goal of the season and adding his 57th assist. Ryan White and Michael Del Zotto also notched goals for the Flyers, their sixth and 10th of the season, respectively.
Apr 5 - 4:31 PM

Philadelphia forward Brayden Schenn scored twice in the Flyers' 4-1 upset victory over the Penguins in Pittsburgh Wednesday night.

After superstar Sidney Crosby gave Pittsburgh a 1-0 lead early in the first period, the Flyers scored four consecutive goals on goalie Marc-Andre Fleury and beat their cross-state rivals handily. Schenn's goals were his 15th and 16th of the season. Jakub Voracek assisted on Schenn's second goal. That gives Voracek 56 assists on the season. Philly's other goal scorers were Vincent Lecavalier (eighth) and defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo. Colaiacovo's goal, on a shorthanded effort, was his first of the season. Colaiacovo also was a plus-two on the night.
