Oliver Ekman-Larsson failed to pick up a point on Saturday and his seven game points streak came to a halt.

Ekman-Larsson has four goals and 14 points in 20 games this season after leading all defensemen in 2014-15 with 23 goals. The talented OEL is one of the top defensemen in the NHL despite the fact that he gets little publicity playing in Phoenix and should be highly regarded when it comes time to make a trade in your fantasy pool.
Nov 22 - 6:29 AM

Oliver Ekman-Larsson notched his fourth goal of the season on Thursday night to help the Coyotes beat Montreal 3-2.

Ekman-Larsson now has a seven game points streak going, with three goals in his past four games. His potent November has his stats back up to an elite pace for defensemen, with 14 points so far in 19 games.
Nov 20 - 12:33 AM

Oliver Ekman-Larsson picked up just his second goal of the season in Thursday's 4-1 win over Edmonton.

Not that Ekman-Larsson is hurting for points with 11 in 16 games, but he's known for his goal scoring. With just two goals on 41 shots so far, his shooting percentage is just 4.1%. He shot 8.7% while scoring 23 goals last season, and he shots at 6.9% for his career. It seems reasonable to expect Ekman-Larsson to regress back to the mean in short order.
Nov 13 - 12:46 AM

Oliver Ekman-Larsson had two assists in Arizona's 4-3 win versus Toronto Monday night.

Ekman-Larsson has recorded at least one point in four of his last five contests. He's now in a seven-way tie for sixth place among defensemen with six points in nine games.
Oct 27 - 8:45 AM

Oliver Ekman-Larsson is off to a bit of a slow start in the goal scoring department.

The rearguard has only one goal this season after leading all defensemen with 23 in 2014-15. He does have three assists in eight games and an even rating after going minus-18 last season. He is a premier offensive defenseman in the NHL and should get close to 20 goals with his shot. Don't fret and keep him in your lineup.
Oct 25 - 5:46 AM

Oliver Ekman-Larsson wants to be more of a factor on the ice.

"I'm just trying to battle a little bit harder and try to work a little bit harder on the ice," he said. "But at the same time, you can't just run around and focus on hitting people. That's not my game, but I agree with him. I just have to keep working hard." Ekman-Larsson earned his second point of the season Saturday in five games.
Oct 19 - 5:01 PM

Oliver Ekman-Larsson already appears to be atop his game.

Ekman-Larsson, who led all defensemen with 23 goals last season, may not have scored in Friday's 3-0 loss to San Jose, but he did lead all skaters with six shots on net and his team with 22:26 of ice time. Which includes 6:42 spent on the power play. He's already proven he can score in a caustic environment, playing and shooting that much can only lead towards good things for fantasy owners.
Oct 3 - 12:33 AM

Oliver Ekman-Larsson isn't happy with the city of Glendale because of the breaking of the lease agreement between the city and the Coyotes.

"We’ve been through so much the past couple of years, and now this happens. It’s disappointing and extremely frustrating that we have to go through something like this again." The future of the Coyotes in Arizona has to be questioned at the least, but it appears as though ownership is committed to keeping the team in Arizona.
Jun 14 - 3:36 PM

Oliver Ekman-Larsson was named to the All-Star team of the World Hockey Championships.

He led all defensemen in scoring at the tournament with 12 points in eight games and he finished first among all skaters with 10 assists. Sweden was knocked out in the quarterfinal round by the silver-medalist Russians.
May 18 - 3:58 PM

Arizona Coyotes and Team Sweden's defender Oliver Ekman-Larsson sits tied with three others for the most points heading into the quarter finals

Ekman-Larsson also leads the tournament with nine assists, plus all defensemen and Swedes in points. All this tournament appears to be proving is that there isn't a goalie in the world who can stop him.
May 12 - 8:35 PM

Oliver Ekman-Larsson picked up a goal and two assists in Sweden's 4-2 win over France on Monday.

May 11 - 6:50 PM

Oliver Ekman-Larsson has carried his elite scoring ways into the World Hockey Championship for Team Sweden.

Ekman-Larsson led all NHL defenders with 23 goals and ranked 17th in points with 43 during the regular season. During the tournament he has but a single goal but leads all players with seven assists, and ranks just two points behind Russia's Yevgeni Dadonov for most overall points. Ekman-Larsson's eight points ranks first among defenders, however.
May 10 - 8:29 PM

The 23 goals scored by Oliver Ekman-Larsson tied a franchise record for most goals in a season by a defenseman.

Phil Housley turned the trick twice in the early 90's when the franchise was in Winnipeg. OEL led the team in points with 43 and will look to get an infusion of scoring help next season when Max Domi, Anthony Duclair and hopefully either Connor McDavid or Jack Eichel are with the club.
Apr 13 - 5:29 AM

Oliver Ekman-Larsson remains optimistic about the Arizona Coyotes despite their disastrous season.

With a 5-0 loss to Vancouver on Thursday, the Coyotes are now 24-49-8 this season. "I don't think we're that bad," Ekman-Larsson said. "We just have to work on some things, and I'm already excited for next season." Arizona really has been awful this season, but there are at least some reasons for Ekman-Larsson to be excited. Arizona has some really good prospects on the way as well as some talented youngsters already with the team, including Ekman-Larsson. Combine that with whoever they draft in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft - they still have a chance of finishing 30th overall - and it's not hard to see a light at the end of the tunnel.
