Nazem Kadri has four goals and 11 points in his last 11 games.
He had just nine points in his first 21 games of the 2014-15 campaign. Kadri has been matched up against the best players on the opposition of late and he's been able to rise to the challenge. He's formed a successful trio with newcomers Daniel Winnik and Mike Santorelli. Dec 17 - 11:52 AM

Nazem Kadri scored an empty net goal in Toronto's 4-1 win over Detroit.

After receiving a lot of criticism at the start of the season, Kadri has produced more offense recently. The 24-year-old has nine points in his last eight games (three goals, six assists). Kadri is one of those players that run hot and cold throughout an 82-game season.

Nazem Kadri earned two assists in Tuesday's 4-1 win over Calgary.

He picked up a helper on a power-play goal by James van Riemsdyk and he added another on an empty net marker by Mike Santorelli. Kadri has been playing his best hockey of the season of late and it's led to plenty of success on the stat sheet. He has two goals and eight points in his past six matches.

The Leafs' line of Nazem Kadri, Mike Santorelli and Daniel Winnik did a good job of shutting down the Sedin twins on Saturday.

Coach Randy Carlyle removed Joffrey Lupul from that line and replaced him with Winnik. "I thought Naz was on top of the Sedins," said head coach Randy Carlyle. "He didn’t play high-risk, high reward. (The whole line) played well through the neutral zone."

Nazem Kadri scored a shorthanded goal in Thursday's loss to New Jersey.

It was the first goal on the penalty kill of his NHL career. The Leafs lead the league with six shorthanded markers this season. Kadri has two goals and four assists during a four-game point streak.
Dec 5 - 10:07 AM

Nazem Kadri scored a goal and added a pair of assists Tuesday as he broke out in a 5-3 win over the Stars.

Kadri has managed to get things going after a disastrous start to the season and has now accumulated a respectable 14 points in 24 contests, including five in his last three. The Maple Leafs also received a pair of goals from Kadri's linemate, Joffrey Lupul as well as tallies by Phil Kessel and Tyler Bozak.

Nazem Kadri still doesn't have a point on the man-advantage this season.

Kadri has played 56:33 on the power play this season, but he still hasn't collected a point on the man-advantage. The Leafs were solid on the PP on Saturday, going three for four against Washington. Kadri even played the point on some of the power plays. "I am still having an impact on plays, just not really getting credit for it," Kadri said. "That has been the story this year. My name is not getting written on the scoreboard, but I don’t really care about that. I’m not worried about it."

Don't be shocked if you see Nazem Kadri on the point of the Maple Leafs' first power-play unit Saturday night against Washington.

He practiced there Friday alongside Dion Phaneuf, with Phil Kessel, James van Riemsdyk and Tyler Bozak up front. That's quite a turnaround from earlier in the week when Kadri was removed from the second power-play unit. Perhaps you should take a flyer and activate him for Saturday night's contest.
Nov 29 - 11:48 AM

Nazem Kadri has lost his spot on the Leafs' second power-play unit, based on Tuesday's practice.

Kadri had 18 power-play points in 2013-14, but he hasn't recorded a point with the man advantage this season. That's part of the reason he's struggled this season with just nine points in 21 contests.
Nov 25 - 12:11 PM

Nazem Kadri scored a goal for the Maple Leafs, but it was far from enough as the team fell to Nashville by a score of 9-2.

Kadri's goal came long after the outcome of the game had been decided since the Predators held an 8-0 advantage before Toronto got on the board. Despite the lopsided final score, Kadri actually registered a plus-1 rating in the game so he's free of blame for one night. Mike Santorelli also scored for the Leafs in the losing effort.
Nov 19 - 12:59 AM

Since shifting Nazem Kadri to the top line alongside Phil Kessel and Daniel Winnik, the Leafs have won three straight games.

We don't believe it is a coincidence. The line has registered a combined five goals and eight assists in those three contests and has been dangerous on every shift. If Kadri can truly maintain his intensity and consistency, he could finally be emerging as the Buds' first true top line center in years.
Nov 2 - 11:50 AM

Nazem Kadri tallied a goal for the Maple Leafs as they eked out a win against the Blackhawks on Saturday night 3-2.

Kadri’s 2013-14 season (20 goals, 50 points) was considered a step back when compared against his 2012-13 one when he had 44 points in 48 games. He has the ability to be a very good center in the NHL, and is just 24 years old. The goal was his fourth of the season, and it gives him five points. James van Riemsdyk and Peter Holland scored the other markers.
Nov 1 - 11:01 PM

Nazem Kadri scored a goal in Toronto’s 4-1 win over Columbus on Friday.

The third period goal gave the Leafs a 3-0 lead in the game. Kadri has three goals on the season, and he snapped a 6-game goalless drought. It’s still early in the season, but he has to be considered a disappointment through 10 games.
Oct 31 - 9:46 PM

Nazem Kadri centered a line with Phil Kessel and Joffrey Lupul as his wingers during Monday's practice.

The Leafs want to shake up their offense and create a more balanced attack. Kadri has two goals in his first three games, but he hasn't registered a point in past five outings.
Oct 27 - 3:13 PM

The Toronto Maple Leafs continue to struggle at the Air Canada Center this season.

The Leafs are now 1-4-0 at home after Saturday's loss to the Bruins. Toronto no-showed at home against a division rival and the performance has to be concerning. "We’re two different teams on the road and at home for some reason," Leafs forward Nazem Kadri said. "We’ve got to get our compete level higher and start caring a little more. Nobody likes to get beat like that, especially in our own building."
