Nazem Kadri scored a goal in Tuesday's 5-1 loss to the Florida Panthers.

Kadri opened the scoring at the 17:35 mark of the first period, but unfortunately for the Leafs, the Panthers responded with five unanswered goals. Peter Holland and Jake Gardiner picked up the assists on the Leafs' only goal. Kadri has 10 goals and 26 points in 47 games this season.

Nazem Kadri scored his first goal in two weeks, a span of seven games, during Saturday's 3-2 shootout loss to Montreal.

Kadri now has a grand total of five goals thanks to his paltry 5.4 shooting percentage. That's exactly one half of his career 10.8 career shooting percentage. If he puts away a few more goals over the next week or two, consider picking him up. Otherwise Kadri may just be snake-bitten this season.

Coach Mike Babcock wants to use Nazem Kadri on the penalty kill.

"We think he's going to be good on the penalty kill. We were going to do it for next season, but here we are today, and we needed to get him some reps there in practice," said Babcock. "He'll be back on the power play in the morning skate [Tuesday]." Kadri will probably get some time on the PK, but it doesn't sound like it will negatively impact his action with the man advantage.

Nazem Kadri was a minus-four in the Maple Leafs’ 7-0 loss to the Sharks on Saturday night.

That’s the worst mark on the team. Kadri only had one shot on goal in 16:47, too. Dion Phaneuf got seven penalty minutes, and he was a minus-two. In fact, only Morgan Reilly wasn’t a minus on this ugly night.
Jan 9 - 10:03 PM

Nazem Kadri stretched his point streak to four straight games on Thursday night.

He earned an assist on Peter Holland's power-play goal in a 2-1 loss to Los Angeles. Kadri has two goals, two assists and 23 shots during his scoring streak.
Jan 8 - 8:53 AM

Nazem Kadri scored in Saturday's win over the Blues.

It's the first time since Feb. 4, 1998 that the Leafs beat the Blues in regulation in Toronto. Kadri's goal at the 14:05 mark of the third period gave Toronto a 3-1 lead. The 25-year-old has seven goals and 20 points in 37 games this season. Kadri has nine points in his last eight contests.

Nazem Kadri had two assists in a 3-1 win against the Islanders on Sunday.

Kadri has now recorded seven points in his last five games. The former seventh overall pick has plenty of talent, but is struggling to find his consistency in his game. If he continues to pick up points, pick up the talented forward.

Nazem Kadri potted his sixth goal of the year in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to Arizona.

He visited the quiet room in the first period after getting his bell rung, but he was able to return after getting checked out. Kadri has posted one goal and four assists during a four-game point streak. He has 16 points in 33 matches.

Nazem Kadri did a great job against Anze Kopitar's line on Saturday night.

"I’m thrilled," Kadri said. "That’s a tough line to keep off the scoresheet. It’s almost more satisfying than the points. Kopitar is one of the best in the league, a complete player. We got the assignment, we knew we had to be ready and we were." Kadri also picked up two primary assists in the 5-0 win.

Nazem Kadri (flu) is expected to play Tuesday.

He wasn't feeling well Monday morning, but coach Mike Babcock expects Kadri to be in the lineup against New Jersey. He has five goals and 11 points in 27 games this season and is coming off a great performance versus St. Louis on Saturday night.

Leafs head coach Mike Babcock believes that Nazem Kadri's fight with David Backes turned the game in the Leafs favor.

The game was tied 1-1 when the fight happened at the start of the second period. A few minutes after the fight, the Leafs got the go ahead goal from Brad Boyes and never looked back. "Naz did a great job," Babcock said. "That was the turning point in the game. Good scrap. (The Blues’ David) Backes tries to be bully. He got right after him. Our team got going from there. Compete is a wonderful thing."

Nazem Kadri scored twice to lead the Maple Leafs past the Blues on Saturday night 4-1.

You wouldn’t know it based on his five goals and 11 points this season, but Kadri has had a very strong year otherwise. Kadri had five penalty minutes and four shots on goal. With 101 shots on the year, he’s still due for a positive correction in the goal department. He makes for a solid addition in fantasy leagues, especially if a current owner has been disappointed with his production. P.A. Parenteau and Brad Boyes got the other goals. Roman Polak had two assists.

Toronto coach Mike Babcock believes that Nazem Kadri has been the best Maple Leaf player so far this season.

That's high praise indeed. Kadri is second in the NHL in shots on goal with 70, behind only Alexander Ovechkin. The 25-year-old Leaf forward has also taken 22 shots on goal in his last four games. That said, the results haven't been there. Kadri has scored only one goal and registered six points in 16 games thus far. At least his coach appreciates his play. If Kadri continues to pepper the opposition goal with shots, logic dictates the results will come.

Nazem Kadri has been getting plenty of chances but he just can't seem to score.

In fact, Kadri has taken a very impressive 48 shots in 13 games this season but has scored only one goal. That's not a very good shooting percentage. Odds are in Kadri's favor that those numbers will turn around if he continues to direct pucks at the net. Stay patient Kadri owners.
