Jordan Schroeder may require shoulder surgery.
Vancouver GM Mike Gillis said the 22-year-old forward will get a second opinion before deciding if the procedure is necessary. He notched three goals and nine points in 31 games for the Canucks during the regular season, but wasn't able to play during the playoffs. May 9 - 4:46 PM

Vancouver Canucks recall Jordan Schroeder from AHL Chicago.

Schroeder has been up and down between the Canucks and the Wolves all season. He was recalled along with a host of other Wolves after Chicago missed the AHL playoffs. They'll simply tag along with the Canucks and get a chance to experience the playoff atmosphere.

Vancouver Canucks reassign Jordan Schroeder to AHL Chicago.

Schroeder was the odd man out once the Canucks acquired center Derek Roy. The 22nd overall pick in 2009 was benched by coach Alain Vigneault during Thursday's game against the Avs and appears to have fallen out of favor for the time being. Owners can move on from him in most formats.
Apr 2 - 2:03 PM

Center Jordan Schroeder, who got benched by Vancouver coach Alain Vigneault Thursday against Colorado, will be back centring the team's second line when the Canucks visit the Oilers in Edmonton today.

"He's a guy who thrives when he has confidence," Vancouver forward Jannik Hansen said of Schroeder. "With the type of player he is, everyone is expecting him to be putting up points, but he has to be put in those situations. If he's not, he's not taking the chances and looking to do the same kind of plays. It comes with experience and confidence. You feel more comfortable around the guys and you're more susceptible to trying plays he can do. Just look at the long stretch pass he had in L.A. You probably wouldn't have seen that in the first couple of games. Those types of players have to play that way if they want to play here."
Mar 30 - 12:45 PM

Jordan Schroeder is on a four game point scoring streak.

After a two goal and five point start in his first 23 games which included being sent to the minors for a week, Schroeder has come back with a vengeance with a goal and four points in four games. He may be worth looking at in deeper pools.
Mar 26 - 12:03 PM

Jordan Schroeder potted what proved to be the game-winning goal for the Canucks on Thursday night in their 2-1 win over the Coyotes.

It was only Schroeder's third goal of the season -- and first in 17 games -- so he's far from fantasy relevance. Christopher Tanev scored the team's first goal of the night in the first period. It was his first goal in 21 games. Mason Raymond, Jannik Hansen and Alexander Edler had the helpers.
Mar 22 - 12:47 AM

Jordan Schroeder has been called up by the Vancouver Canucks.

Schroeder has two goals and five points in 22 games with Vancouver this season. He also has 10 goals and 23 points in 33 AHL contests in 2012-13.
Mar 18 - 3:15 PM

Jordan Schroeder has been assigned to the minors.

He has registered five points in 22 games this season. He hasn't scored a goal in his last 13 outings and went eight games without a point prior to being sent down. "They want to get me going, playing more and get my confidence back," said Schroeder.
Mar 11 - 1:03 PM

Canucks coach Alain Vigneault will continue using Jordan Schroder on his first power play unit, but he's not averse to making changes if necessary.

Schroeder has been manning the point on the first unit alongside Alexander Edler while free agent acquisition Jason Garrison lines up with the second group, but Vigneault acknowledged he may mix things up if the need arises. "I’m going to be patient enough to start (Sunday’s game) that way," Vigneault said. "How long that’s going to last, I don’t quite know."
Mar 10 - 8:25 AM

Jordan Schroeder practiced on Vancouver's top power-play unit with Ryan Kesler absent due to a fractured foot.

The 22-year-old rookie has notched a mere two goals and three assists in 17 games this season, but he could be worth keeping an eye on if he enjoy some success on the Canucks' first-line power play.
Feb 27 - 5:30 PM

Thanks to his excellent play, the Canucks may have to find room for Jordan Schroeder on their roster all year long.

The eventual returns of Ryan Kesler and David Booth once figured to push Schroeder down the lineup or even off the roster, but his strong performance is forcing the Canucks to re-evaluate that position. The highly-regarded prospect scored the first two goals of his NHL career in a win over the Flames on Saturday and his role with the club continues to increase. He's a great keeper-league selection, but unlikely to contribute in redraft formats.
Feb 10 - 7:49 AM

Once Jordan Schroeder found the back of the net for the first time in his NHL career, it took him just 25 minutes to do it again Saturday night as his two goals led Vancouver to a 5-1 romp over Calgary.

After falling behind 1-0 to struggling Calgary, Schroeder, Henrik Sedin, Daniel Sedin, Kevin Bieksa and Alex Burrows all contributed multi-point efforts to douse the Flames.
Feb 10 - 4:37 AM

Jordan Schroeder feels the work he has been doing to practice for shootouts has been working.

Schroeder and Canucks goaltending coach Rollie Melanson have spent time watching video to figure out ways to confuse goalies and it has worked for the young Canuck, who was the only one to score in a shoot victory over Chicago Friday. "The shootout takes some creativeness. I’ve been always watching around the league to see what moves work but Rollie went over some ways to confuse goalies, including changing speeds and changing angles."
Feb 3 - 7:45 AM

Jordan Schroeder played on Monday despite some tightness in his groin.

This is a common ailment with the short training camp and condensed season. "He certainly looks quick enough and skilled enough to play at this level and his defensive play has been strong," GM Mike Gillis said. Schroeder may be sent down once Ryan Kesler returns to action but that may be deep into the season.
Jan 29 - 11:39 AM

Jordan Schroeder will make his NHL debut on Wednesday night.

He skated between Mason Raymond and Dale Weise at practice on Tuesday on the team's third line. Schroeder has been unable to establish himself in the AHL, so how he performs in the NHL is anyone's guess.
