Dmitry Kulikov had surgery on his right shoulder recently.
He missed the last three games of the regular season with what was originally classified as an "upper-body injury." Kulikov didn't take the next step in his development this year, while posting three goals and 10 points in 34 appearances. However, he still has the potential to be a solid offensive contributor from Florida's back end. Apr 29 - 11:08 AM

Florida Panthers head coach Kevin Dineen believes that Dmitry Kulikov won't play during the final week of the 2013 season.

The defenseman was injured after being tangled up with Boston Bruins winger Jaromir Jagr during the Boston Bruins' 3-0 win against the Panthers on Sunday. Initial reactions indicated that it's probably an arm injury.

It's unclear how serious whatever his issue might be at the time, but Dmitry Kulikov needed help off the ice on Sunday.

He got tangled up with Boston Bruins forward Jaromir Jagr late in the game. He fought through a lower-body injury recently, but it looks like it might have been arm-related this time around.
Apr 21 - 2:51 PM

Dmitry Kulikov has a lower-body issue, but he's expected to play Tuesday night.

He was able to take part in Monday's practice. Kulikov has been disappointing this campaign, with just nine points and a minus-3 rating in 30 games, when it was thought that he could take positive steps forward offensively.
Apr 16 - 7:59 AM

Dmitry Kulikov has potted two game-winning goals in Florida's past four games.

Coach Kevin Dineen commented that the 22-year-old defenseman appears to be playing with more enthusiasm. "Obviously it feels good to win, but I don't think my game has changed at all," Kulikov said. "But when you are able to score some goals, you get a chance to look like a happy guy out there. I'm just trying to play the best I can, help us win some games." The markers were his first two of the season.
Apr 10 - 10:23 AM

Dmitry Kulikov netted the game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory Sunday.

Marcel Goc also scored for the Florida Panthers. Tomas Fleischmann, Tomas Kopecky, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Brian Campbell each registered an assist in the victory.

Dmitry Kulikov was back with the team on Wednesday, as he continues to recover from a hand injury.

Dmitry Kulikov made his season debut with the Panthers on Monday.

He logged 17:32 of ice time and finished with a minus-2 rating in Florida's 4-0 loss to Ottawa. Kulikov also posted two shots and a minor penalty for hooking. Coach Kevin Dineen may keep an eye on Kulikov's ice time during Tuesday's game in Montreal considering he just got back from Russia.
Jan 22 - 9:50 AM

Dmitry Kulikov took part in Monday's practice.

Kulikov missed Saturday's game due to jet lag, but will probably play on Monday. He was a big part of the Panthers last season, but Panthers coach Kevin Dineen seemed frustrated by Kulikov's decision to stay in Russia until he had a contract, rather than return to North America immediately after the work stoppage so that he'd be fresh for the season opener. That probably won't be a factor for long, but it will be interesting to see how much playing time Kulikov gets in his season debut.
Jan 21 - 1:39 PM

Dmitry Kulikov will probably play on Monday after missing Saturday's game due to jet lag.

Kulikov was a restricted free agent when the lockout ended and decided to initially remain in Russia as a result. He only arrived in Florida on Friday. Panthers coach Kevin Dineen seemed has seemed frustrated that Kulikov didn't travel to Florida immediately following the work stoppage and expressed that again when he spoke about Kulikov's availability for Monday's game. "I sure hope so," Dineen said. "He had seven months to prepare for his first game [since last season ended], so I sure hope he’s finally ready to go. His fitness level — he came in and tested well. He’s been playing since the beginning of the year. He had a little setback with a knee injury in Russia. But he’s come back and played from there."
