Dmitry Kulikov (knee) will not need surgery.

That's the good news, but Kulikov will still miss the next two-to-four weeks. He suffered the injury during Saturday's contest. He has three assists in 17 games this season.

Dmitry Kulikov's MRI on his leg/knee didn't reveal any serious damage.

That means this probably won't be a long-term injury. He isn't expected to play this week.
Nov 17 - 10:11 AM

Dmitry Kulikov sustained a leg injury Saturday that is expected to sideline him for at least a week.

He has three assists in 17 games this season, but the 24-year-old has been a good real-time stat contributor with 27 hits and 21 blocks.
Nov 16 - 1:05 PM

Dmitry Kulikov won't play in the Battle of the Sunshine State on Monday.

Kulikov is getting an MRI for the lower body injury he suffered after a hit from JT Brown on Saturday, and "will probably miss at least a few games" according to Coach Gallant. Kulikov has posted just three points, 21 blocks, and 24 hits in 17 games this season. Steven Kampfer, who has seen just one game this season, is expected to step in Kulikov's place.
Nov 15 - 6:12 PM

Dmitry Kulikov left Saturday's win over the Lightning after being hit by J.T. Brown in the second period.

Kulikov had been playing with a sore ankle, but it's unclear if that's the reason he was forced from the game. We'll get an update on his status prior to Florida's next game on Monday night.
Nov 15 - 12:35 PM

Dmitry Kulikov had a disappointing minus-4 rating in Thursday's 5-2 loss to San Jose.

His defensive partner, Alex Petrovic, was on the ice for all of the Sharks' goals and finished with a minus-5 rating. Jaromir Jagr had a minus-4 rating as well in the match. They will look to bounce back against Los Angeles on Saturday.
Nov 6 - 8:13 AM

Despite a broken nose, Dmitry Kulikov will play against the Capitals on Saturday.

Who says there are athletes tougher than hockey players? Only fools, that's who. Kulikov has limited fantasy value, but if your pool rewards PIMs (15), blocks (14), and hits (14) his three helpers will also combine for a nice depth defender.

Dmitry Kulikov sustained a broken nose in Friday night's game against the Bruins.

He was checked into the boards while off-balance by the Bruins' Brad Marchand. Kulikov is listed as questionable for Saturday night's game against the Capitals. If the swelling goes down around his nose and he is fitted with a protective cage, it is possible Kulikov could play. Stay tuned for further updates.
Oct 31 - 10:52 AM

Dmitry Kulikov was on the ice Monday for an informal workout with some teammates and other NHLers as he prepares for training camp.

"It's tough to get back into shape, get back to skating. Once you get going, it's fun again. Right now, though, it's tough," he said. "I've been working out but I haven't been skating. My goal, now, is to lose a few pounds so I'm lighter, quicker and have more endurance. I know with the new overtime rules, I need to be fresh to give us an advantage." Kulikov, Aaron Ekblad and Brian Campbell could be regulars for the Panthers during those 3-on-3 overtime sessions.
Aug 28 - 12:34 PM

Dmitry Kulikov had a feeling the Dallas Stars would seek retribution after he injured Tyler Seguin with a low hit back on Feb. 13.

"Everything that I expected happened," Kulikov said. "They stick up for their teammates. I wasn't going to back down. When they asked me to fight, we fought." He dropped the gloves with Curtis McKenzie in the first period. Afterward, Kulikov said he could just focus on playing, which led to him recording one goal and one assist in a 4-3 shootout loss.

Feb 22 - 12:25 PM

Dmitry Kulikov has received a four-game suspension for clipping Tyler Seguin during Friday's game.

Seguin suffered a knee injury as a result of the play. Kulikov might have been forced to miss more time if not for the fact that he has no prior history of supplemental discipline. Given that Kulikov has already served the first game of his suspension, he'll be eligible to return on Sunday.
