Date:

Dmitry Kulikov (lower body) took part in Thursday's morning skate.

Kulikov was wearing a no-contact jersey though, so his return likely isn't imminent. He missed Tuesday's game due to the injury.
Oct 19 - 12:07 PM

Dmitry Kulikov (lower body) may be able to return to action in less than two weeks.

Coach Paul Maurice initially thought that Kulikov would be sidelined for a couple of weeks, but now it's thought that he could be out for considerably less than that. Kulikov missed most of the 2016-17 campaign due to injury, so this is good news for him and the Jets.
Oct 16 - 2:52 PM

Dmitry Kulikov (lower body) didn't skate Monday.

Kulikov was injured in Saturday's match against Carolina. It doesn't seem like he will be ready to play Tuesday when Columbus visits. Consider him day-to-day for now.
Oct 16 - 1:16 PM

Dmitry Kulikov posted a goal, an assist, a plus-1 rating and a blocked shot with a hit in Monday's 5-2 win in Edmonton.

Kulikov hadn't done very much over his first two games, and that's really par for the course. He managed just two goals and five points across 47 games last season in Buffalo. Kulikov is more useful to his real team than to those in fantasy leagues, so don't break your FAAB budget to acquire him after this rare offensive outburst.
Oct 10 - 12:17 AM

Dmitry Kulikov doesn't want to think about the freak injury that plagued him last year.

Kulikov injured his back in the preseason when he took a hit from Toronto's Colin Greening and fell into the open door of the players' bench. The back injury bothered him throughout the season. "Definitely, I’m trying not to think about that a lot," said Kulikov. "It just takes you out of your rhythm when you play 10 games and miss 20 and then play 10 and miss 20. You don’t get into a rhythm. You don’t get familiar with the system. Mentally, it’s hard because it’s always on your mind, that injury bugging you on a daily basis. A lot of the times it was frustrating during the season, having to go through rehab and then it happens again, going to rehab and it happens again. You just kind of couldn’t break that cycle, so that was the toughest part." Kulikov signed a three-year, $13 million contract with Winnipeg this off-season. The Jets are his third team in three years (Panthers, Sabres).
Sep 3 - 6:05 PM

Dmitry Kulikov is looking to put the 2016-17 campaign behind him.

Kulikov had two goals, five points, and a minus-26 rating in 47 games with the Buffalo Sabres. A big part of the issue is that Kulikov was hurt in the preseason and still wasn't 100% when he resumed playing. He's feeling good at this point though. The Jets are betting on a comeback out of Kulikov as they inked him to a three-year worth $4.33 million per year. Given that he's been a solid top-four defenseman in the past, there's potentially a lot of value in that deal.
Jul 5 - 5:02 AM

Dmitry Kulikov has signed a three-year, $13 million deal with the Winnipeg Jets.

The Jets were looking for a veteran puck-moving defenseman on the left side and Kulikov fits the bill. He will join Tyler Myers, Jacob Trouba, Dustin Byfuglien and young Josh Morrissey on a suddenly very effective Winnipeg blueline. Look for Kulikov to get some second power-play ice time and register between 25-30 points.
Jul 1 - 12:31 PM

The Winnipeg Jets will "likely" land Dmitry Kulikov in free agency, per TSN's Darren Dreger.

Kulikov is coming off a tough year with the Sabres. He was limited to 47 games because of a back injury, and he managed to produce just two goals three assists and an awful minus-26 rating. A change of scenery could do him some good. If he can get fully healthy, he has the potential of turning into a nice, low-risk signing (depending on the term of the contract).
Jul 1 - 11:42 AM

Dmitry Kulikov has been attracting interest from other teams with free agency just around the corner.

Kulikov was limited to only 47 games with the Sabres in 2016-17. The Senators could be in the hunt, as coach Guy Boucher was behind the bench with Kulikov in Drummondville.
Jun 26 - 6:51 PM

Dmitry Kulikov participated in his 500th career game on Saturday.

The milestone caught Kulikov by surprise. "I thought I was 10, 15 away from 500," Kulikov said. "It was a good surprise and a good 500." He would have gotten there sooner, but he was sidelined for roughly three weeks with an upper-body injury before returning on Saturday. He scored a goal and registered an assist in his 500th game.
Mar 27 - 9:31 AM

Dmitry Kulikov (upper body) will be back in the lineup for Saturday's game against Toronto.

Kulikov has been forced to sit out each of his team's last nine games. He has one goal and one assist in 39 games this season. Kulikov averages 21:31 of ice time in 2016-17.
Mar 25 - 11:44 AM

Dmitry Kulikov (upper body) took in a practice with the Sabres on Thursday.

Kulikov has been out since March 4th with the injury. This is a positive sign that he may be nearing a return to action. In 39 games this season he has two points with 24 PIMs, 52 hits and 60 blocks.
Mar 23 - 1:20 PM

Dmitry Kulikov (upper body) won't return on Tuesday.

He has already been ruled out after he suffered an upper-body injury on Saturday. It's suspected to be a concussion. Kulikov has been limited to just 39 games this season because of injuries.
Mar 6 - 1:49 PM

Dmitry Kulkiov will be sidelined with an upper body injury for Sunday's match with Pittsburgh.

The veteran defender has posted two points along with 24 PIMs, 52 hits and 60 blocks over 39 games this season. Justin Falk will take his place.
