Jacob Josefson (foot) has been taken off of the IR list.

Josefson was projected to return on Thursday, so this doesn't come as a surprise, but it is further confirmation. He has a goal and seven points in 36 contests in 2015-16.
Jan 21 - 4:59 PM

Jacob Josefson (foot) will make his return on Thursday.

The Devils haven't decided who to scratch to make room and Thursday's skate was an optional one, so that's not a great gauge of what will happen tonight. That said, Josefson is projected to play on the third line with Reid Boucher and Sergey Kalinin.

Jacob Josefson (foot) should be back in the Devils' lineup on Thursday.

If Josefson does return, he'll probably play on the third line alongside Reid Boucher and Sergey Kalinin. It remains to be seen if he'll be serving as a center or winger though.

Jan 18 - 2:07 PM

The New Jersey Devils are confirming that Jacob Josefson has a broken bone in his foot.

It originally looked like Josefson's foot was sore, but as time went on it came out that his injury might be more substantial and now we know for certain. Josefson is expected to resume skating in the near future.
Jan 14 - 6:24 PM

It seems Jacob Josefson's injured foot is sore rather than fractured.

"There's been no update on it negatively," Devils coach John Hynes said. "It's just kind of going through the process with him of making sure that he's OK. But, all looks good and it shouldn't be too, too bad." Josefson last played on Dec. 26. Consider him day-to-day at this point.
Jan 6 - 11:21 AM

Jacob Josefson's lower-body injury is related to his foot.

That said, the Devils will need a couple more days before they have a good idea of what Josefson's dealing with. He has a goal and seven points in 36 contests in 2015-16.
Jan 4 - 5:59 AM

Jacob Josefson has been placed on injured reserve with a lower-body injury.

He was seen in a walking boot Tuesday night, which explains why he was scratched against Carolina. Still, he hasn't missed any practices and he has been skating.

Jacob Josefson hasn't recorded a point in his last 13 games.

That's not shocking when it comes to Josefson. In 203 career games, he's only scored 13 goals and 40 points. You would also have to go back to April 4 to find the last time he scored a goal.
Mon, Nov 30, 2015 05:46:00 AM

Jacob Josefson has four assists in 11 games this season.

Josefson is still searching for his first goal of the 2015-16 campaign. Although there was a lot of optimism about him going into the season, he hasn't ended up playing on a scoring line most of the time. He's still worth keeping an eye on, but he might not end up having much use to standard league owners.
