Date:

Jacob Josefson will get back into New Jersey's lineup Thursday night.

He has been a healthy scratch for the past three games. Josefson will replace Andrei Loktionov, who will head to the press box instead, when the Devils take on the Philadelphia Flyers. He will center the third line between Alexei Ponikarovsky and Matt D'Agostini.
Apr 18 - 1:56 PM

Jacob Josefson has been called up by the New Jersey Devils.

Josefson has 10 goals and 25 points in 38 AHL games this season. He also has an assist in 16 contests with New Jersey.
Apr 5 - 12:54 PM

The New Jersey Devils have returned Jacob Josefson to AHL Albany.

Josefson had no points and a minus-two rating in his one-game stint with the Devils. On the plus side, he won five of six faceoffs in Sunday's 4-2 loss to Winnipeg.
Feb 25 - 6:34 PM

Injuries cleared the way for the New Jersey Devils to at least bring Jacob Josefson back to the NHL level.

We'll see if he can get into some games or if he'll just practice with the team a bit. With zero goals and an assist in 15 contests in 2013, you can probably guess how much fantasy relevance he has, although a turnaround isn't totally out of the question.
Feb 24 - 2:05 PM

Jacob Josefson will attempt to find his game in the minors.

The 21-year-old had just one assist in 15 games, after getting 20 in 30 games in the AHL during the lockout. "Jacob's just not playing the way he was playing," Devils general manager Lou Lamoriello said. "Not that he's doing anything wrong, but whenever you have the ability when someone's game maybe slipped a little to send a player to the minors, especially a young player, to get their game back, it's what you do."
Feb 18 - 10:04 AM

The New Jersey Devils decided to ship forward Jacob Josefson to the AHL on Sunday.

The 21-year-old forward has been ice-cold this season, registering his only point (an assist) on Jan. 25 against the Washington Capitals. With just 13 SOG in 15 games, a -8 rating and only two PIM, it's unlikely anyone will miss him.
Feb 17 - 1:05 PM

Jacob Josefson was removed from the top line after just one period Thursday against the Islanders.

Josefson was just the latest player coach Pete DeBoer tried to slot in on the left side of the top line after youngsters Mattias Tedenby and Stefan Matteau didn't stick. Look for Josefson to settle as the fourth-line center, but he'll likely move around throughout the course of games. He's not worth owning in most leagues.
Feb 1 - 10:02 AM

Jacob Josefson moved up to New Jersey's first line during Thursday's morning skate.

He skated on the wing with Travis Zajac and Ilya Kovalchuk. Josefson has contributed one assist in five games this campaign.
Jan 31 - 12:30 PM

Jacob Josefson (foot) should be available for Tuesday's game, according to Devils coach Pete DeBoer.

That being said, Josefson didn't participate in Monday's practice. Josefson has been dealing with this injury for a little while now, but he still ended up logging 13:33 on Saturday. With that in mind, we consider him very probable for Tuesday's game.
Jan 21 - 1:50 PM

Jacob Josefson, who has been dealing with a foot injury, was "resting" on Friday, according to the New Jersey Devils.

The Devils might simply be giving him some extra time off going into the season opener, but this is still a concern. Although he should still be counted as probable for Saturday's contest, we'll err on the side of caution and list him as day-to-day for now.
Jan 18 - 3:18 PM

Jacob Josefson said he "felt good" in his return to the ice on Tuesday after sitting out two games with a sore foot.

The injury was believed to be to his knee, but it turns out it was his foot. The team decided to hold him out of the scrimmage, as a precaution, but coach Pete DeBoer believes that Josefson could've played. He should play against AHL Albany in Wednesday's tuneup match. When the regular season begins, he'll probably center the team's third line.
Jan 16 - 11:44 AM

Jacob Josefson (lower body) participated in team drills Tuesday and he expects to play in the New Jersey Devils' season opener Saturday.

Josefon, who has been nursing what is believed to be a sore knee, also said he hopes to play in Wednesday's scrimmage against the New Jersey Devils' AHL affiliate. With Adam Henrique (thumb) sidelined to begin the year, Josefson could make major gains toward an increased role this season. While he's not worthy of being drafted in most leagues, Josefson bears watching from the waiver wire.
Jan 15 - 3:15 PM

Jacob Josefson (lower body) was held out of Monday's practice as a precaution, but he is expected to skate on Tuesday.

He has been nursing what is believed to be a sore knee, which he sustained in the AHL, but Devils coach Pete DeBoer is confident that Josefson will be ready for the team's opening contest on Saturday. "He probably could have [skated today], but no sense rushing it right now," DeBoer said. "He's a guy that's been playing all year, so we're just being a little safe."
Jan 15 - 10:31 AM

Jacob Josefson (lower body) was not able to return to practice on Monday.

He was expected to join the team after missing Sunday's session, but a lower-body ailment has prevented him from doing so. Now the indications are that Josefson will be able to practice on Tuesday.
