Jacob Josefson has inked a two-year, $1.6 million contract with the New Jersey Devils.
Josefson had a goal and three points in 27 games in 2013-14. His deal is one way, so his chances of making the team are good, but he's likely to be limited to third or fourth line duties. Jul 17 - 3:10 PM

Apr 1 - 9:57 AM

Jacob Josefson isn't sure if he has a future with the New Jersey Devils.

Josefson has been limited to 21 games and even an injury to Ryan Carter hasn't been enough to get him back into the lineup. "This is the last year of my contract and I haven't gotten to play much this year, so of course I'm worried," Josefson said. He added that he's still focused on finishing this season. It's worth clarifying that Josefson is scheduled to become a restricted free agent this summer, so the Devils have a lot of control in deciding whether or not he returns.
Mar 18 - 12:51 PM

Jacob Josefson will start on the left wing on the first line Sunday.

Josefson will be alongside Travis Zajac and Jaromir Jagr for the outdoor game against the Rangers. The Devils have had a problem finding a winger to play with Jagr and Zajac so it's Josefson's turn to try on Sunday. He was notified before practice on Saturday that he would be moving to the first line. "I haven't played in over a month, so just playing a game is going to be fun for me. And this game a little bit special, too," Josefson said. "They just told me before the practice. It was a good surprise." Josefson has been a healthy scratch of late as he was activated from the injured reserve list on January 16 after missing 12 days with flu-like symptoms. He has one assist in 16 games.

Jacob Josefson is probable to get back into New Jersey's lineup Saturday night.

The New Jersey Devils announced that Jacob Josefson will probably replace Stephen Gionta (sore foot) in the lineup on Sunday.

Josefson doesn't carry fantasy relevance - he's gone pointless in four games this season - so this is a JFYI.

Jacob Josefson was a healthy scratch on Tuesday.

He was joined in the press box by Mattias Tedenby and Peter Harrold. Josefson has been a healthy scratch the last four games and has only played twice this season. The 22-year-old was drafted in the first round, 20th overall in the 2009 Draft but has not shown much of anything at the NHL level fantasy-wise.

Jacob Josefson and Mark Fayne were healthy scratches for the Devils on Sunday.

Just an FYI as both players should not be on your fantasy roster unless they are a friend or a family member of yours.
