Zack Kassian continued his hot pace for the Vancouver Canucks Saturday night, scoring a goal and adding an assist in his team's 5-2 loss in Edmonton.
With one game left in the Canucks' regular season, Sunday against Calgary in Vancouver, Kassian has 14 goals and 15 assists. He's been the Canucks' leading scorer in 16 games since the Olympic break with 12 points. The Canucks have not had a good season and won't be in the playoffs, but Kassian gives them some optimism for the future. The same is true for Shawn Matthias, who also had a goal (his 12th) and an assist (11th) for the Canucks in Edmonton. Apr 13 - 1:29 AM

He did a little of everything today, generating that tally, getting two PIM, three SOG and one hit. His 103 PIM make his spotty scoring and so-so peripherals easier to stomach, but fantasy owners would love to see more consistent numbers from the 23-year-old power forward.
