John Moore is expected to sit once again Tuesday night against the Ottawa Senators.
Play a few games. Sit a few games. That's the yo-yo Coach Vigneault has been playing with Moore and Matt Hunwick and it continues tonight as Moore sits for the fourth straight game. Either way, Moore is lacking in fantasy value. Jan 20 - 6:11 PM

John Moore was scratched again in Columbus on Friday night.

And so goes Coach Vigneault's sixth defenseman carrousel. It's now Matt Hunwick's turn to skate with Kevin Klein as the Rangers' third defensive pairing. Moore has just four assists in 27 games, thus little fantasy value.

John Moore is a healthy scratch in Thursday's game against the Boston Bruins.

Matt Hunwick will replace Moore in the Rangers' lineup. The 24-year-old has four assists in 27 games with the Blueshirts this season. He won't have any fantasy value going forward.
Jan 15 - 7:13 PM

John Moore will continue to play with Kevin Klein in place of Matt Hunwick on Tuesday night against the Islanders.

With just four points, a dozen PIMs, 22 hits, and 36 blocks through 26 games. Hunwick has performed only slightly better with eight points, 10 PIMs, 30 hits, and 32 blocks in 29 games. Both are difficult to recommend for your fantasy team.
Jan 13 - 6:39 PM

John Moore is expected to sub in for Matt Hunwick on Wednesday in Anaheim.

Coach Vigneault can't seem to decide whom he wants along side of Kevin Klein, Moore or Hunwick on the third pairing. Either way, neither have much fantasy value.
Jan 7 - 8:45 PM

John Moore is expected to be a healthy scratch on Saturday for the sixth time in the last eight games.

Moore is obviously not happy with sitting in the press box but with the Rangers winning nine of their last 10 games, coach Alain Vigneault is sticking with a winning lineup. Moore has only three assists in 23 games so he is not fantasy relevant.
Jan 3 - 8:34 AM

John Moore will be back on the blue line Saturday night against the Devils.

Moore will replace Matt Hunwick on the blue line for the Rangers Saturday night. He will pair up with Kevin Klein and will look to score his first goal of the year. He has just three assists in 21 games played this season.

John Moore will again be a healthy scratch against Carolina on Sunday night.

Coach Vigneault has opted to not make any lineup changes save for the goalie switch on this second of a home-and-home series. Moore has little to no fantasy value.

John Moore looks to be a healthy scratch on Saturday.

Moore was the seventh defenseman on Friday in practice so unless there is an injury or illness on the blueline, Moore should be sitting in the press box.

John Moore will get back into the fold on Monday.

He has been a healthy scratch in two of the last four games, including Saturday's loss to Detroit. "Johnny, we're just looking for him to be high percentage with the puck and be hard on his one on ones," said coach Alain Vigneault.

John Moore is likely to be a healthy scratch on Saturday.

Moore will sit as Dan Boyle is expected to return after a two game absence due to the flu. He should be joined in the press box by Anthony Duclair. Adjust your roster if it needs adjusting.

John Moore has served his five-game suspension.

Moore was punished for elbowing Minnesota's Erik Haula in the head. The Rangers plan to put Moore back into their lineup now that they're able to do so.

John Moore has received a five-game suspension from the league for his illegal check to the head of Minnesota forward Erik Haula.

Moore's elbow came up on the play and appeared to make contact with the head of Haula, who was injured and unable to return to Monday's contest. The Rangers blueliner won't be eligible to return until Nov. 11 against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

It looks like John Moore will exercise his right to have an in-person hearing after all.

Throughout the day, there have been flip-flopping reports on Moore. At first it was reported that Moore would have a phone hearing, then it came out that he had been offered an in-person hearing, but declined. Now apparently he will show up in person for his hearing. By offering him an in-person hearing, the NHL gave itself the power to suspend him for more than five games.

John Moore's hearing on Wednesday is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET.

Moore was given the option of having an in-person hearing, but he declined so it will be over the phone after all. Still, because the NHL took the step of making an in-person hearing available to him, the league is now allowed to hand him a suspension of more than five games.
