John Moore is looking forward to playing his first playoff game at home with the Rangers Monday night.
"I was getting chills in the regular season playing here at the Garden, I can't even imagine what it's going to be like in the playoffs," he said. "In Washington for my first playoff game of my career, that's one of the things that jumps out at you is how electric the building is and how everyone is into it. I'm excited to play in front of our fans and I'm sure it'll be a night I won't forget." Moore doesn't have a point after two games in the series, but only three members of the Rangers have hit the scoresheet. They will be hoping that some home cooking will help stir up some offense. He had just been traded to the Blueshirts earlier in the day as part of the deal that sent Marian Gaborik to the Columbus Blue Jackets. Moore concluded the contest with 14:09 of ice time.
Apr 4 - 10:48 AM

John Moore has been sent to the New York Rangers in the Marian Gaborik.

Moore has an assist and a minus-five record in 17 games this season. He's only 22 years old and a 2009 first-round pick. It wouldn't be surprising to see him develop into a solid defenseman at the NHL level.
Apr 3 - 2:58 PM

John Moore (shoulder) has been activated off of the injured reserve list.

It looks like Moore will return to Columbus' lineup on Saturday. He has an assist in 13 games this season.
Mar 15 - 2:31 PM

John Moore (shoulder) has been given the green light to return to the Blue Jackets' lineup.

Moore is still listed as being on Columbus' injured reserve list. That being said, Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards is optimistic about Moore's chances of playing on Saturday.
Mar 15 - 12:32 PM

John Moore (shoulder) has been ruled out for Thursday's game.

The good news is that he was on the ice for the Blue Jackets' skate on Wednesday. He might return on Saturday or Tuesday.

Columbus has placed John Moore on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.

Mar 4 - 4:51 PM

Blue Jackets defenseman John Moore is expected to miss about a week due to an upper body injury he suffered in practice on Friday.

Moore is likely not a fantasy factor in your league, but the combination of injuries suffered by Columbus defensemen recently has been incredible, with James Wisniewski, Jack Johnson and others all sidelined with ailments.
Mar 3 - 10:38 AM

John Moore (upper body) will not participate in Friday's game.

Moore suffered the injury during the Blue Jackets' Friday morning skate, which is something Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards has never seen happen before. As an interesting side note, the Blue Jackets only traveled with six healthy defensemen prior to Moore's injury. As previously reported, Dalton Prout has been summoned, but if he doesn't arrive in time - and that appears to be a real possibility - then Columbus will start the game with five defensemen.
Mar 1 - 4:20 PM

John Moore suffered an upper body injury during Friday's morning skate.

This is one of those tidbits of news that matter a fair deal to the team and their fans, but are almost irrelevant to fantasy owners. You would need to be in an impressively deep league to be able to justify having Moore on your fantasy roster.
Mar 1 - 2:16 PM

John Moore was sufficiently recovered from a lower body injury to play in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Coyotes.

The absence of James Wisniewski may have contributed to Moore's insertion to the lineup so there's no guarantee he'll be active once Wiz returns to the club on Monday.
Feb 17 - 2:02 AM

John Moore (lower body) might return to the Blue Jackets' lineup on Friday.

At this point, Moore is probably healthy enough to return, but it's not clear where he'll fit into the lineup. Defensemen Tim Erixon and Cody Goloubef have performed well lately and Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards hasn't ruled out the possibility of using both of them Friday.
Feb 15 - 10:01 AM

John Moore (lower body) practiced Saturday but is still up in the air for Saturday.

Moore was originally hurt in practice Monday and hasn't played since. He has an assist and a -3 rating through nine games this season and can be safely left on waivers.
Feb 8 - 3:58 PM

John Moore left Monday's practice with a lower body injury.

Moore is questionable for Tuesday's game. He has an assist and a minus-three rating in nine contests this season.
Feb 4 - 5:03 PM

John Moore will be a part of the Columbus Blue Jackets' training camp.

Moore has three goals and nine points in 24 AHL games. He logged 67 games with the Columbus Blue Jackets last season and should be considered a favorite to make the team this time around.
