John Moore is hoping to re-sign with the Devils.
He's not sure if he factors into their plans for the summer though. "I want to (stay). It's not up to me. I haven't really talked to Ray," Moore said, referring to Devils GM Ray Shero. "Just in our meeting now, we said we'll get together and talk. I really like it here, my family likes it here. It's a good team, a lot of good guys and I want to be here." More had seven goals and 18 points in 81 games this season while averaging 20:01 minutes. He's coming off a three-year, $5 million contract and is likely going to get a significant raise. John Moore had a minus-2 rating in Monday's 3-0 loss to the Detroit Red Wings.

John Moore played in his 400th game on Thursday.

Moore made the milestone contest more memorable by finding the back of the net in the Devils' 4-3 shootout win over the Rangers. That goal also snapped his 13-game point drought. He has four goals and nine points in 34 contests this season.

John Moore has surprisingly excelled in three-on-three overtime hockey.

Moore isn't seen as an offensive defenseman, but he's managed to score six overtime goals since the NHL adopted the three-on-three overtime structure in 2015-16. That's the most overtime goals of any defenseman over that span, topping Brent Burns and Shayne Gostisbehere, who have recorded four each. Keep in mind that Moore has 30 total goals since the start of 2015-16 while Gostisbehere has 76 and Burns has 102, so that highlights how surprising it is that Moore would top that list. For Moore's part though, he's downplayed his accomplishment. "I’m really fortunate to get the opportunity to get out there and play with some great players," Moore said. "I’m the recipient of some selfless hockey by a lot of guys."

John Moore is hoping his increased offensive production is something he can carry over to the 2017-18 campaign.

Moore has set career-highs this season with 10 goals and 20 points in 60 games. "It's something I've really worked at with (assistant coach) Alain Nasreddine, in terms of video and using my feet to get up in the rush and fins scoring chances," Moore said. "The stars are aligning for me a little bit this year. I've worked hard and it's nice to see it paying off." Moore's someone to keep an eye on next season, but we remain skeptical of the 26-year-old's ability to grow offensively to the point where he'll have relevance in standard fantasy hockey leagues.

John Moore scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 overtime win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday.

John Moore took a fed from Taylor Hall before firing the one-timer passed Steve Mason for his 10th goal of the season. Moore has a career high 10 goals and 20 points this season. Despite his new career highs, we wouldn't recommend him in fantasy circles next season.

John Moore scored two goals in New Jersey's 4-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Moore opened the scoring just 2:59 into the game, while his second tally cut Toronto's third-period lead to 3-2. Unfortunately for the Devils, that's as close as they'd come to tying things up. Moore has nine goals and 10 assists in 54 games this season.

After a 17-game absence due to a concussion, John Moore is eyeing Sunday against the Sharks for his triumphant return to the Devils blue line.

Triumphant is the right word here, as Moore suffered greatly through his concussion recovery process. "For about a week, I really wasn’t myself at all," Moore said. "I couldn’t remember things, I was angry all the time, and anxious. I know I wasn’t easy to be around, just not myself. It was scary, really scary."
