The Montreal Canadiens have announced that Peter Holland was placed on waivers on Saturday.
Despite head coach Claude Julien calling Holland a 'NHL player', the Habs decided against giving him a spot on the roster. Holland might turn out to a bottom-six NHL player but he will never live up to the hype that warranted him being selected 15th overall by the Anaheim Ducks during the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. For now, he will report to the Laval Rockets of the AHL if he clears waivers. Sep 30 - 12:27 PM
