Apr 22 - 11:05 AM

Nick Leddy had an assist in the Islanders' 2-1 overtime victory over Washington on Sunday.

It was Leddy's first point of the playoffs. He's being leaned on heavily in the postseason, as evidenced by that he's logged over 22 minutes in each of his last two games. Although he's still just 24 years old, he did win the Stanley Cup with Chicago, so his experience is doubtfully helpful for the talented, but young core of the Islanders.
Apr 20 - 9:46 AM

Nick Leddy had two assists in a 4-3 shootout loss to Columbus Thursday night.

It was Leddy's second straight multi-point game. He has 33 points in 74 contests, which gives him an outside shot of surpassing his career high of 37 points set back in 2011-2012.
Apr 3 - 11:13 AM

Nick Leddy recorded two assists in the Islanders' 5-4 win over Detroit on Sunday.

Leddy now has 10 goals and 31 points in 73 games in 2014-15. He's reached the 30-point mark in each of his last three campaigns (not including the lockout shortened 2013 season), and at the age of 24, he should have many more campaigns like that ahead of him.
Mar 30 - 10:14 AM

As speculated, defenseman Nick Leddy will indeed return to the New York Islanders' lineup Saturday night.

Leddy missed the past four games with an upper-body injury. He will resume his usual role alongside Johnny Boychuk. Leddy leads all Islanders defensemen with 10 goals and a plus-17 rating.
Mar 21 - 6:33 PM

Nick Leddy (upper body) could be back in the lineup on Saturday.

He skated again in the morning and will be evaluated by team doctors in the afternoon. "I feel pretty good," Leddy said. "We have another day before the game, so we'll keep working and keep getting better. It was just a freak thing like I said. It happened. I just want to work through it and hopefully be back Saturday."
Mar 19 - 1:48 PM

Nick Leddy (upper body) skated by himself before practice Saturday.

Mar 11 - 11:13 AM

Nick Leddy (undisclosed) isn't on the ice for the pre-game warmup on Tuesday.

The Islanders are taking on the Rangers and it doesn't look like Leddy will suit up for the tilt. Leddy was injured in Monday's game against Toronto after he collided with Morgan Rielly. He is considered day-to-day right now. Leddy had played in 320 consecutive games before tonight.
Mar 10 - 6:34 PM

Nick Leddy is being regarded as a game-time decision on Tuesday.

Leddy left Monday's contest in the second period after colliding with Toronto's Morgan Rielly. It's worth noting that he's played in 320 straight contests, so we like his chances of remaining in the lineup.
Mar 10 - 4:43 PM

Islanders defenseman Nick Leddy was injured during New York's 4-3 overtime win against the Maple Leafs in Toronto Monday night.

Leddy left the game in the second period after colliding with Toronto's Morgan Rielly. Leddy has 10 goals and 19 assists in 68 games this season. Recently, the Isles signed the d-man to a seven-year, $38.5-million contract extension.
Mar 9 - 11:14 PM

The New York Islanders have signed Nick Leddy to a seven-year, $38.5 million contract extension.

In other words, Leddy will come with a $5.5 million annual cap hit, which is a big raise over his 2014-15 salary of $3.4 million. That's not a surprising increase though, given that Leddy has proven to be a very effective top-four defenseman with the Islanders and has been a big part of the team's breakout campaign. He has eight goals, 25 points, and a plus-12 rating in 61 contests. The Islanders acquired Leddy and Kent Simpson from the Chicago Blackhawks in October in exchange for T.J. Brennan, Ville Pokka, Anders Nilsson.
Feb 24 - 12:08 PM

Nick Leddy led the way for the Isles in their convincing 5-2 win over the league-leading Predators on Thursday night with a goal and two assists.

The young blueliner was due for a haul with just one point in his past 12 games. Leddy assisted on the second and third goals of the night to give New York a 3-0 lead in the first period, then helped put the Preds' comeback to bed with an insurance goal in the third to make it 4-2. Leddy has 25 points in 59 games for the Isles.
