Apr 11 - 8:48 AM

Kyle Palmieri was activated from the IL and played Thursday night against Dallas.

He missed the Ducks' last five games with an upper body injury. He seems to have recovered, though, as he was credited with three hits in 13:57 of playing time against the Stars.
Mar 15 - 2:48 AM

Kyle Palmieri (upper body) is probable for Thursday's game.

The timing of Palmieri's return would be great, given that they've lost Corey Perry to a suspension. Palmieri has seven goals and 10 points in 20 games this season.
Mar 14 - 8:28 AM

Kyle Palmieri (upper body) practiced with the Ducks on Wednesday in Dallas.

Palmieri, who hasn't played since March 2, said he was cleared on Tuesday. "There was a lot of testing, making sure I was ready and I was symptom free and all of that," Palmieri said. The 22-year-old has seven goals and 10 points in 20 games this season. It shouldn't be too long before he's ready to return to the lineup.
Mar 13 - 9:53 PM

The Anaheim Ducks have put Kyle Palmieri on the injured reserve list with an upper body injury.

Palmieri is eligible to return at any time as he was injured 10 days ago and has missed the last four games. It was an inopportune time for Palmieri to get injured as he was seeing first line time with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry and scored the first hat trick of his NHL career earlier in the week. Palmieri has seven goals and 10 points in 20 games and was just starting to heat up when he got hurt. The Ducks are starting a three game road trip and coach Bruce Boudreau expects him to return at some point during this trip.
Mar 12 - 7:16 AM

Kyle Palmieri was absent from the Anaheim lineup for the third consecutive game Friday night.

The team managed just fine without him as they outmatched the Flames in a 4-0 shutout, but the young forward's return date remains unclear. The nature of the upper body injury has not been disclosed, making it harder to gauge when the winger might be back in the lineup.
Mar 9 - 11:19 AM

Kyle Palmieri (upper body) took part in an optional skate on Thursday.

"I think with these kinds of injuries, you just got to take them day by day," Palmieri said. "We’ll see what happens when I come in tomorrow." He has missed two games due to the injury. Anaheim wouldn't specify if Palmieri suffered a concussion or not, which is obviously concerning.
Mar 8 - 8:20 AM

Kyle Palmieri (upper body) missed his second straight game on Wednesday.

"I wouldn't say he's a ways away," Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said. "He was doing really good today. It would not surprise me, quite frankly, if he was out there (on the ice) in a day or two." Anaheim is scheduled to play again on Friday.
Mar 7 - 8:35 AM

Kyle Palmieri (upper body) doesn't appear likely to play Wednesday night.

Palmieri sat out Monday's game after being during Saturday on a hit from Coyotes forward Raffi Torres. "He wasn't on the ice today, so I’m saying he's still day-to-day, but I don’t think he'll be on tomorrow," coach Bruce Boudreau said of Palmieri on Wednesday. We should have official word on his status after tomorrow's morning skate.
Mar 5 - 6:52 PM

Kyle Palmieri won't play Monday after he sustained an upper-body injury Saturday on a hit from Phoenix forward Raffi Torres.

Coach Bruce Boudreau doesn't think the injury is very serious and he's hopeful that Palmieri will be able to skate Tuesday and available to play in Wednesday's game versus the Coyotes. You read that right, the Ducks and Coyotes play each other three straight times in an odd portion of scheduling.
Mar 4 - 3:41 PM

Ducks forward Kyle Palmieri was forced to leave Saturday's loss to Phoenix in the first period after suffering an upper body injury.

Palmieri was hit into the boards by the Coyotes' Raffi Torres on a clean play and did not return. Coach Bruce Boudreau said after the game he didn't believe the injury was serious and we hope he's correct since the young winger had just begun to develop chemistry with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry on the Ducks top line. Consider him day-to-day until we know more.
Mar 3 - 12:01 PM

Kyle Palmieri knows that he can't get complacent after recording his first hat trick.

He now has a team-leading seven goals in 18 games, but that doesn't mean his job with the Ducks should be considered secure. "I definitely got an understanding of everything last year, going through the six or seven call-ups I went through," Palmieri said. "It isn't easy. The one thing I learned is every day here, you can't take it for granted." He's worth keeping an eye on, but we can't recommend grabbing him in standard leagues. Among other things, keep in mind that he's only averaging 11:39 minutes per game.
Mar 1 - 8:34 AM

Kyle Palmieri had the first hat trick of his NHL career on Wednesday - a natural one at that.

He helped the Anaheim Ducks stay hot with a 5-1 win against the Nashville Predators. It's obvious the 22-year-old forward benefits from playing with Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf; Perry got the primary helper and Getzlaf generated the secondary assist on all three goals. Palmieri should at least be watch listed skating alongside the Ducks' dynamic duo.
