According to Mike Chambers of the Denver Post, Stefan Elliott has fallen out of favor in Colorado.
The 24-year-old can become a restricted free-agent on July 1st, but that doesn't guarantee he'll be back with the team in 2015-16. Elliott was the Avanlanche's second round pick in 2009. He had no points in just five games with the Avs this season. Jun 7 - 3:16 PM

Stefan Elliott has been assigned to AHL Lake Erie.

He has dressed in five games with the Avalanche this year. His demotion doesn't mean that Erik Johnson's return is imminent, though. There was no update on Johnson's status after the move.

Stefan Elliott was made a late addition to Colorado's lineup on Tuesday night against Nashville.

It's Elliott's fourth game of the season, and 62nd of his career for the former 49th overall pick in 2009. He has just 18 career points, and little more fantasy value.

Stefan Elliot and Daniel Briere will be healthy scratches in Monday's game against Arizona.

Briere, 37, has just 11 points in 47 games and none in his last 13. Elliot has played in only three games with the Avalanche and has yet to record a point.

Stefan Elliott will make his season debut Thursday when Detroit visits.

He was originally slated to be a healthy scratch, but a hip injury to Tyson Barrie will put him into the lineup. Elliott will play with Nate Guenin and he'll take Barrie's spot on the power play as well. He has 12 goals and 26 points in 40 games for Lake Erie this year.

Stefan Elliott will be a healthy scratch on Friday night against the Nasvhille Predators.

Through 58 career NHL games since 2011-12, including just one game this season, the 24 year old Elliott has accumulated just six goals and 18 points with Colorado. That is not enough to suggest that he has much of any fantasy value for you at all.

Stefan Elliott will be a healthy scratch Friday night versus Nashville.

He was brought up from the minors Wednesday to give Colorado seven defensemen after Erik Johnson was injured. Elliott has six goals and 18 points in 58 NHL outings in his career. He hasn't played for Colorado yet in 2014-15, but he's expected to during his latest stint with the big club.

Stefan Elliott has been summoned by the Colorado Avalanche.

With Erik Johnson sidelined for three-to-eight weeks due to a lower-body injury, there's an opportunity for Elliott to play regularly for Colorado for an extended period of time. Elliott has 12 goals and 26 points in 40 AHL contests this season.

Adrian Dater of the Denver Post believes it is rather telling that high draft picks Stefan Elliott, Duncan Siemens and Joey Hishon were passed over for promotion with the recent spat of Colorado injuries.

It is a bit odd in the case of defensemen Elliott who has 10 points in 15 games and is tied for second in Monsters' scoring. Rearguard Siemens (three points in 13 games) and center Hishon (five points in 13 games and a minus eight rating) have not fared as well. We guess the Avs have really soured on Elliott who could have replaced the injured Brad Stuart on the team's blueline.

Stefan Elliott has been waived by the Colorado Avalanche.

Elliott had 14 goals and 28 points in 61 AHL games last season. Even if he had made the team, he wouldn't have had any fantasy value in standard leagues.

Stefan Elliott has been assigned to the AHL Lake Erie Monsters.

Elliott had a goal and four points in 18 games with Colorado last season. There's a good chance he'll be called up at some point during the 2013-14 campaign as an injury replacement.

Defenseman Duncan Siemens, the No. 11 overall pick in the 2011 draft, has turned 20 and is beginning his first full pro season.

The new braintrust of the Colorado Avalanche likes Siemens and his toughness could unseat Stefan Elliott if Elliott isn't among the team's top six blueliners.

Stefan Elliott registered his first assist of the 2013 campaign.

It was in Elliott's 11th game with the Avalanche this season. He might have some fantasy value in a few years, but he certainly isn't worth picking up in standard leagues at this time.
