Richard Panik scored a goal and added an assist in the Leafs' 3-2 loss to the Islanders Thursday night.

The Leafs are in Panik-mode, meaning in addition to losing 21 of their past 25 games, Richard Panik has seen increased ice time. In his past five games, he has played 12:45 or over, whereas in the previous five games he never surpassed 11 minutes. This increased role does not pad his fantasy value in any way, playing on the offensively inept Leafs.

Richard Panik may be promoted from the fourth to the third line for the Maple Leafs' game against the Panthers Sunday evening.

He practised on Saturday with Peter Holland and David Clarkson which is one step up from the fourth unit and two steps up from the press box, where Panik has spent the much of his time as of late. That still doens't make Panik rosterable, though.

Richard Panik notched an assist and a late goal to help send Thursday night's game to overtime.

Though the Leafs would go on to lose in a shootout 4-3. Panik's assist is a classic hockey assist in that, upon review, he wasn't that instrumental to the goal. However, his goal was a beauty as he got himself into position for the one-timer amidst tight traffic. Along with the points he had two hits and blocks.

Richard Panik tickled the twine for Toronto in its 4-1 loss to the Bruins on Saturday night.

The player who receives the lowest ice time (8:35) scores the team’s only goal. Panik should be miles off of fantasy radars, as he’s not getting nearly enough ice time to make any sort of impact. Cody Franson and Tyler Bozak had the assists.
