Rookie Richard Panik has impressed the Tampa coaching staff with his play of late.

Since being recalled from the AHL on March 23rd, Panik has scored four goals and registered eight points in 13 games. He has also doled out 25 hits. "When he plays with confidence, he has above-average talent in every aspect of his game," said Lightning coach Jon Cooper. "He’s got size. He can skate. He can shoot. So, when he’s playing with confidence he can be … the ceiling is really high for him. It’s just a matter of him staying consistent."The 22-year-old winger is yet another Tampa forward to keep an ey on next season.

Tampa Bay forward Richard Panik scored two goals and added an assist in the Lightning's 6-5 overtime loss to the Capitals in Washington Saturday night.

The goals were Panik's third and fourth since being called up by Tampa Bay from the AHL in late March. Tom Pyatt also produced three points for the losing Lightning, all assists. Martin St. Louis netted two goals for the Lightning, his 10th and 11th of the season. Also scoring for TB was Teddy Purcell, his 11th.

He has notched 22 goals and 41 points in 51 AHL games this season, while recording one goal in nine NHL appearances.

Richard Panik has been sent down to the minors by the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Panik scored his first career NHL goal on Feb. 23. He has 35 points and 79 penalty minutes in 45 AHL games this season.

Richard Panik netted his first NHL goal over the weekend in a 5-2 win over Carolina.

In seven games with the Bolts this season, he has averaged just over nine minutes of ice while being used sparingly on the fourth line. "We know his offensive game is just lethal," coach Guy Boucher said. "He's a big, fast body that has unbelievable skill. And it's good for him to gain that identity of being good defensively." Panik said he's starting to feel more comfortable at the NHL level, but he may lose his roster spot once Ryan Malone is able to return from injured reserve.

Richard Panik scored both goals to lead Syracuse to a 2-1 win over Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Monday.

Panik was selected in the second round of the 2009 Draft by the Lightning. He now has 15 goals and 26 points in 32 games after a 19 goal and 41 point effort last season. Brett Connolly, the Lightning's first pick and sixth overall in 2010, drew an assist on the opening goal.

Richard Panik scored once as the Syracuse Crunch downed the Adirondack Phantoms 3-0 on Friday night.

The Tampa Bay Lightning selected Panik with the 52nd pick in the 2009 Entry Draft and has 21 points in 21 games this season with the Crunch after posting 19 markers and 41 points in 64 games last season. He's worth a look as a minor-leaguer in keeper formats.

Syracuse head coach Jon Cooper has been delighted with the progress and consistency of Richard Panik this AHL season.

"The kid has found a real consistency to his game and I think hopefully this will stick with him from today, tomorrow and the rest of his career," Cooper said. "He kind of came in as sort of a project X and I'm not going to lie, a couple of years ago that was that guy. But in a short year and a half he's gone from a regular healthy scratch to a regular top line guy on our team. That's a credit to him to buying into what it is we are doing." He has jumped out of the gate in 2012-13 with 11 goals and 20 points in 20 contests after posting 19 markers and 41 points in 64 games last season.

Richard Panik sniped two goals Saturday night in Syracuase's 4-3 overtime victory versus Connecticut.

The 21-year-old is really finding his groove in the AHL this year with 11 goals and 20 points in 19 games. He has the ability to be a top-six winger in the NHL. Mark Barberio had the game-winner to give him 14 points on the season. Cory Conacher also had an assist.

That's the longest streak of any AHL player this season. Panik got off to a slow start, but he has made up for it with seven goals and 14 points over his last 10 contests with the Syracuse Crunch.
