Richard Panik found the back of the net in a 4-1 win against Calgary on Tuesday.

Panik has been red hot lately with six goals and 10 points in his last 10 games. That gives him 14 goals and 34 points in 70 contests this season. He'll still finish below his 44-point total from 2016-17, but his recent hot streak has done a lot to salvage this campaign.
Apr 4 - 4:31 AM

Richard Panik posted his 12th goal of the season in Wednesday's 3-2 road win against the Golden Knights.

Panik finished with a plus-1 rating, a minor penalty and two hits in the victory. He has picked up points in three in a row, and six of the past seven outings. Panik has four goals and seven points with a plus-3 rating across the past seven dating back to St. Patrick's Day. While the ship has sailed on his fantasy viability in most seasonal play, he is a sharp low-cost play in DFS down the stretch.
Mar 29 - 1:52 AM

Richard Panik has hit the 30-point milestone.

Panik has been hot lately, registering at least a point in five of his last six games. This campaign is still a step down from 2016-17 when he had 22 goals and 44 points in 44 contests, but it's also just the second time in his career that he's reached the 30-point milestone.
Mar 27 - 10:14 AM

Richard Panik scored once to boost his points streak to five games.

It was Panik's 11th goal of the season and third in four games. The forward who was acquired from Chicago on January 10 in the Anthony Duclair deal, has 29 points in 65 games and has been a plus-seven in his last nine contests with the Coyotes.
Mar 25 - 7:08 AM

Richard Panik scored his eighth of the season and picked up an assist in a 5-2 loss Saturday to Colorado.

The two points give Panik 24 this season and four points in his last five games. He doesn't have much in the way of fantasy value but has gotten off to a couple of good starts in the last two years.
Mar 11 - 6:58 AM

Richard Panik found the back of the net in Arizona's 5-3 win against Minnesota Thursday night.

Not a bad way to return from a lower-body injury, which had cost him Arizona's previous two games. He has seven goals and 21 points in 53 contests this season.
Mar 2 - 4:43 AM

Richard Panik (lower body) will play in Thursday's game against the Minnesota Wild.

Panik missed the last two games because of the ailment. He has six goals and 20 points in 52 games this season.
Mar 1 - 8:37 PM

Richard Panik (lower body) is "ready to play," per coach Rick Tocchet.

It's not clear if Panik will be reinserted into the lineup on Thursday, but that certainly seems likely. He has six goals and 20 points in 52 games this season.
Feb 28 - 9:42 AM

Richard Panik missed Saturday's game with a lower body injury.

Panik has six goals and 20 points in 52 games split between Arizona and Chicago this season. but he has gone nine games with nary a goal. He slumped like that in Chicago as well and as a result, the Blackhawks dealt him on January 10. He has no fantasy value.
Feb 25 - 6:35 AM

Richard Panik will return to the Coyotes' lineup after being a healthy scratch Thursday night against Montreal.

Panik had not scored a goal in eight games, and as a result, Coyotes' coach Rick Tocchet decided to sit him in the press box against the Habs. Panik, who has played on the team's top linefrom time to time, will rejoin the lineup at the expense of Zac Rinaldo, who will be a healthy scratch. No word on where Panik will line up, though.
Feb 17 - 12:31 PM

Newly-acquired Richard Panik practiced with Derek Stepan and Brendan Perlini on the Coyotes' top line on Thursday.

Panik took the place of Tobias Rieder on the Yotes' top unit. If he does in fact get the chance to skate in that slot, he might be worth a look if your fantasy team has a strong plus/minus rating. Remember, Panik has played with elite players (Jonathan Toews) before and had some success.
Jan 13 - 1:05 PM

The Coyotes believe that Richard Panik's inconsistency this season can be partially attributed to being unlucky.

Arizona has acquired Panik from Chicago after he scored six goals and 16 points in 37 games. That's down from his 22 goals and 44 points in 82 contests in 2016-17. "We feel like some of it this year has just been some unluckiness," Coyotes GM John Chayka said. "We still think he's playing a well-rounded game, still think he's doing a lot of good things that he was doing in the past. He's 26 years old, so he's still a young veteran. But he does provide some veteran experience and takes a bit of a load off some of our younger players ... That's a void we were looking to fill, and we felt that he'd be a good fit for us." This trade will at least provide him with a fresh opportunity.
Jan 11 - 7:46 AM

The Arizona Coyotes have acquired Richard Panik and Laurent Dauphin from Chicago in exchange for Anthony Duclair and Adam Clendening.

Panik emerged as a decent secondary scorer in 2016-17 with his 22 goals and 44 points in 82 games. Compared to that, his six goals and 16 points in 37 contests this season has left a bit to be desired. Panik, who will turn 27 in February, also doesn't have as much upside as Duclair and Panik's two-year, $5.6 million contract is pricier. At the same time, Duclair reportedly wanted to be traded, so this trade makes sense in that context. Plus, the Coyotes did get prospect Dauphin back in the trade.
