Tim Erixon scored a goal in Columbus' 5-2 loss to the Los Angeles Kings.

The goal was Erixon's first in the NHL. Erixon also delivered a hit that knocked Kings' star Anze Kopitar out of the game. The 23-year-old played under eight minutes in the game and won't be a viable fantasy option until Columbus ups his ice time.

Tim Erixon (knee) is healthy enough to play in Monday's preseason contest.

Erixon sustained the injury by blocking a shot on Sept. 21. He had five goals and 38 points in 40 AHL games last season.
Sep 29 - 10:14 AM

Tim Erixon (knee) once again skated on his own Saturday.

It was the third consecutive day for Erixon who took a shot off his knee a week ago. It's looking more and more like he should be ready for the start of the season but as of now he is a 7-8 defenseman on the Blue Jackets and as a result, he will not have fantasy value.
Sep 28 - 7:18 AM

Tim Erixon (knee) skated on his own for the second day in a row Friday.

Erixon blocked a shot off his knee Sunday. He should be back on the ice shortly but there is no timetable for his return.

Sep 25 - 3:10 PM

Tim Erixon hurt his leg while blocking a shot in the second period of Sunday's preseason contest.

Erixon was limited to three shifts in the third period, but the fact that he played at all is encouraging. Blue Jackets associate coach Craig Hartsburg thinks his injury is probably a bruise.
Sep 22 - 7:09 AM

Tim Erixon's recently signed one-year contract with Columbus is a one-way deal.

That significantly increases Erixon's chances of spending the entire 2014-15 season with the Blue Jackets. That being said, it wouldn't be shocking if he ends up serving primarily as the team's seventh defenseman and consequently spends a fair amount of time in the press box. He had five goals and 38 points in 40 AHL contests in 2013-14.
Jul 16 - 9:41 AM

Tim Erixon has agreed to a one-year deal with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Erixon had five goals and 33 assists in 40 AHL games in 2013-14. He's worth keeping an eye on as he has a fair chance of making the Blue Jackets' opening game roster.
Jul 15 - 4:06 PM

Tim Erixon is reportedly close to re-signing with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Erixon had five goals and 33 points in 36 AHL games in 2013-14. The restricted free agent will probably end up with a two-way contract.

Erixon has five goals and 33 points in 36 AHL games this season. He also has played in two games with Columbus, but he was held off the scoresheet in both contests.
Apr 11 - 2:10 PM

He will continue to play in the AHL during the Olympic break. Erixon has skated in two games this season with Columbus.
Feb 8 - 12:47 PM

The Columbus Blue Jackets recalled Tim Erixon from the minors on Sunday.

Erixon was recalled last week and sent back to the minors before getting recalled once again. It appears that the flu is making its way through the Columbus dressing room and the move was a precautionary one as the Blue Jackets are on the West Coast this week and a possible recall might take too much time.
Feb 3 - 6:46 AM

The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled defenseman Tim Erixon from the minors.

Erixon has been scoring in the minors as he had four goals and 23 points in 25 games for Springfield of the AHL. He was pointless in two NHL games earlier this season. The former first round pick of the Calgary Flames in 2009 is on the verge of cracking the Columbus lineup.
Jan 27 - 6:30 AM

Tim Erixon will be a healthy scratch Monday night after he was called up from the minors in the morning.

David Savard will take James Wisniewski's spot in the Jackets' lineup against Pittsburgh.
