Jordan Caron is still a member of the Boston Bruins and he's looking to try to earn a spot with the team out of training camp.
"It's the first time I think since I've been here there's been this much (open) room," Caron said. "It's going to be interesting. It's going to be a lot of battling. I'm ready for a challenge and ready to go." There were some trade rumors circling around him during the off-season, but the Bruins ended up re-signing him to a one-year deal and it looks like he'll be with the organization again in 2014-15. Caron had just three points in 35 games with the big club last year. Sep 12 - 8:27 AM

Jordan Caron has agreed to a one-year, $600,000 contract with the Boston Bruins.

The Bruins investigated the possibility of trading Caron, not because he requested a move, but because they were trying to be fair to him and felt he might have a better opportunity to play regularly elsewhere. Nothing materialized from that, but he still might end up being dealt before the summer's over. Caron had three points and 36 penalty minutes in 35 games last season.
Jul 16 - 12:41 PM

Boston has not given Jordan Caron a qualifying yet because they are trying to trade him.

"We've got one prepared, but we're not sure yet," said GM Peter Chiarelli. "He's still young, he's been in and out of our lineup, and in fairness to him we've looked for another [NHL] spot for him. It wasn't out of the request of Jordan. He wants to stay in Boston, but at his age [24 in November], he also wants a chance to play on the regular basis." He suited up in 35 games with the Bruins in 2013-14 and he collected just three points.
Jun 28 - 3:39 PM

Jordan Caron served as a healthy scratch Thursday night in Game 4.

He was replaced in the lineup by overtime hero Matt Fraser, who was making his NHL playoff debut. Caron has one goal in seven games this postseason, but he's averaged just 7:54 of ice time per match.
May 9 - 7:21 AM

Jordan Caron appears as though he will skate on the fourth line, alongside Shawn Thornton and Gregory Campbell, in Game 3 versus Montreal.

The Sayabec, Quebec native will probably get to play in his home province Tuesday night. Caron has one goal in six postseason games, while seeing less than 10:42 of ice time in five of those outings.
May 6 - 7:38 AM

Jordan Caron will suit up for Boston in Game 2 versus Montreal.

He was a healthy scratch Thursday to make room for Daniel Paille's return to the lineup. Caron will play Saturday afternoon and Justin Florek will be scratched instead.
May 3 - 12:39 PM

Jordan Caron scored his first career playoff goal in Tuesday's win over Detroit.

Caron has averaged just under eight minutes in three games during the series. He made the most of his limited action (7:45) when he scored Boston's second marker in a 3-0 win. Caron hadn't scored in the NHL since Oct. 5 and that also came against the Red Wings.
Apr 23 - 7:27 AM

Jordan Caron suited up in Boston's playoff opener versus Detroit on Friday night.

He skated on the fourth line because Daniel Paille was unable to play with an upper-body injury, which could be a possible concussion. Caron registered three points in 35 appearances during the regular season.
Apr 19 - 9:39 AM

Jordan Caron got back into Boston's lineup on Tuesday night.

He made his first appearance since Jan. 27 because Loui Eriksson wasn't in the fold because of a "minor issue." Caron generated an assist, four hits, three shots, four penalty minutes and a plus-2 rating in 12:18 of ice time.
Mar 5 - 7:50 AM

Jordan Caron (back) returned to action on Saturday.

Caron was out three weeks with the injury and had one shot on goal with a couple of hits and blocks in 10:07 minutes of action. He has only one goal in 24 games so his fantasy value is nothing.
Jan 26 - 2:11 AM

Jordan Caron missed Saturday's game with a sore back.

He has one goal in 23 appearances this season and shouldn't be on your fantasy radar. Consider him day-to-day for the time being.
Jan 6 - 9:48 AM

Jordan Caron has been used sparingly this season.

Although Caron got a one-way contract for the 2013-14 campaign, he hasn't been able to establish himself as a regular with the Bruins. He has played in just 19 games and is averaging 11:20 minutes per contest. It's starting to look like the former first round pick will never have any meaningful fantasy value in standard leagues, but we wouldn't write him off entirely.

Jordan Caron was once again a healthy scratch.

The 23-year-old forward has only played in nine games this season and has registered only one point. For those of you waiting for Caron to break out, we suggest you give up the dream. It does not look as if he will be a fantasy asset in the near or long term.

Jordan Caron has gotten back into Boston's lineup with Loui Eriksson sidelined by a concussion.

He was relegated to the press box when Carl Soderberg got back into the lineup from injury, but he's back in now with Eriksson hurt. "Two games sitting in the stands I wasn't very happy, but I just need to keep ready for when I'm needed," said Caron. "I know they have confidence in me, and so far I've been playing pretty good. I just need to make plays offensively, and I need to finish off any of my checks." He can play either wing position and does a good job defensively, but he shouldn't be on your fantasy radar.

Jordan Caron was a healthy scratch last Saturday and he'll probably watch Wednesday's game from the press box as well.

He was taken out of the lineup because of Carl Soderberg's return from injury. Defenseman Matt Bartkowski is likely to be scratched again too.
