Jordan Caron got back into Boston's lineup on Tuesday night.
He made his first appearance since Jan. 27 because Loui Eriksson wasn't in the fold because of a "minor issue." Caron generated an assist, four hits, three shots, four penalty minutes and a plus-2 rating in 12:18 of ice time. Mar 5 - 7:50 AM

Jordan Caron (back) returned to action on Saturday.

Caron was out three weeks with the injury and had one shot on goal with a couple of hits and blocks in 10:07 minutes of action. He has only one goal in 24 games so his fantasy value is nothing.

Jordan Caron missed Saturday's game with a sore back.

He has one goal in 23 appearances this season and shouldn't be on your fantasy radar. Consider him day-to-day for the time being.
Jan 6 - 9:48 AM

Jordan Caron has been used sparingly this season.

Although Caron got a one-way contract for the 2013-14 campaign, he hasn't been able to establish himself as a regular with the Bruins. He has played in just 19 games and is averaging 11:20 minutes per contest. It's starting to look like the former first round pick will never have any meaningful fantasy value in standard leagues, but we wouldn't write him off entirely.

Jordan Caron was once again a healthy scratch.

The 23-year-old forward has only played in nine games this season and has registered only one point. For those of you waiting for Caron to break out, we suggest you give up the dream. It does not look as if he will be a fantasy asset in the near or long term.

Jordan Caron has gotten back into Boston's lineup with Loui Eriksson sidelined by a concussion.

He was relegated to the press box when Carl Soderberg got back into the lineup from injury, but he's back in now with Eriksson hurt. "Two games sitting in the stands I wasn't very happy, but I just need to keep ready for when I'm needed," said Caron. "I know they have confidence in me, and so far I've been playing pretty good. I just need to make plays offensively, and I need to finish off any of my checks." He can play either wing position and does a good job defensively, but he shouldn't be on your fantasy radar.

Jordan Caron was a healthy scratch last Saturday and he'll probably watch Wednesday's game from the press box as well.

He was taken out of the lineup because of Carl Soderberg's return from injury. Defenseman Matt Bartkowski is likely to be scratched again too.

Jordan Caron has continued to stake his claim for an active roster spot with the Boston Bruins.

Caron has looked good on the team's third line with Chris Kelly and Reilly Smith. He had a great chance to score against Colorado, but was robbed by Jean-Sebastien Giguere in a 2-0 loss. Caron has one goal in three games but he's playing like he doesn't want to be scratched once Carl Soderberg is able to return from injury.

Jordan Caron scored a goal in Saturday's contest.

It was Caron's first of the season. He's getting ready playing time with Carl Soderberg (ankle) sidelined, but needs to make a strong impression if he wants to earn a more permanent spot in the lineup.

Jordan Caron played well in only 10:21 minutes of action Thursday.

Caron was held off the scoresheet but managed a couple of shots on goal, two takeaways and a blocked shot. He made the team as the 13th forward but with Carl Soderberg out of action, Caron saw fourth line minutes. "I think I had a good game," Caron said. "We could've had a few goals and I had some chances. Obviously they didn't go in tonight, but I think we did a good job tonight." Don't expect much fantasy wise from Caron as he will be happy to remain in the NHL all season as a fourth line player.

Jordan Caron has been skating on Boston's third line for the last couple of days.

It looks like he will fill in for injured forward Carl Soderberg in Boston's first game of the 2013-14 campaign Thursday night. Caron made the Bruins as the team's 13th forward.

Jordan Caron made Boston's roster as the club's 13th forward.

He may get a chance to play Thursday if David Krejci or Carl Soderberg is unable to suit up for Boston's first game of the season. Caron can play well defensively, but he admits that his offensive game still needs work. He shouldn't be on your fantasy radar heading into the season.

Jordan Caron is waiting to see if he secured the Bruins' final roster spot.

It has come down to Caron and Nick Johnson. "I think they know that I really want this," Caron said. "I've been working hard the last three years, this is my fourth year, and I'm just hoping the chips fall into place. I'm just trying to work really hard, be good on the forecheck, be good on the stick, create some battles down low. That's my game and it's what I'm trying to do." Caron was taken with the 25th pick overall in 2009 and has struggled to maintain a spot with the Boston Bruins. He had a goal and three points in 17 games with Boston in 2013.

Jordan Caron really improved his chances of grabbing the Bruins' last roster spot with a two-goal performance in Friday night's 5-0 win over Winnipeg.

The Bruins will pare down their roster to 23 in preparation for the team's regular season opener scheduled for Tuesday night and have only a reserve forward spot to settle on. GM Peter Chiarelli indicated that the team will carry eight defenseman so Kevan Miller will make the squad as an eighth rearguard. That leaves one forward spot open and four candidates to fill it. Caron is competing with Ryan Spooner, Nick Johnson and Matt Fraser and seems to have the upper hand. Stay tuned.

Jordan Caron may have one last chance to impress Boston's brass.

If he gets to play in Friday's preseason finale then it could be his last opportunity to land a spot in the Bruins' lineup. Caron would require waivers to be sent down and there's a chance that he could be claimed. "I'm trying not to think about it," he said, "These are not my decisions, obviously. But I want to be a part of this organization and I want to stay here."
