The Winnipeg Jets have been pleased with Paul Postma's play this season.

Postma played in only 20 games last year because of injury, but has played in each of the Jets' first seven games this season. "There's going to be some young mistakes and some lack-of-experience mistakes, but his effort is better and his intensity on the puck is better and we like the way he skates and brings the puck up the ice," said Jets' coach Paul Maurice. "With more experience and confidence, he can get the puck to the net pretty well. Then, especially on the blue-line, that experience of how to close a guy off, how to separate a man from the puck, when to move it, when to jump in, those just take some time." The 25-year-old has one assist in seven games this season.
