Date:

Paul Postma will be a healthy scratch in Monday's game against the Minnesota Wild.

Postma has no points and a minus-3 rating in six games this season. It's the first time since Oct. 19 that he'll watch from the press box.
Nov 6 - 6:53 PM

Newly-signed Paul Postma may be able to switch to the left side in order to fill a Bruin need.

Boston has a very strong right-shot defense but needs some help on the left side. Postma, who normally shoots right-handed, has had some experience in junior hockey shooting from the left. If Postma can make that switch, he may be able to carve out a spot on the Bruins' third pairing. If he can do that, he may also get some power-play ice time as Boston GM Don Sweeney seems intrigued by his heavy shot and power-play work in the minors. Keep an eye on Postma during training camp.
Jul 2 - 8:40 AM

Paul Postma has signed a one-year, $725,000 contract with the Bruins.

Postma will look to grab a spot as the Bruins' sixth or seventh defenseman. He played in a career-high 65 games with the Jets last season and contributed 14 points.
Jul 1 - 1:12 PM

Paul Postma underwent double sports hernia surgery on Friday.

He obviously won't play again this season. Postma recorded career-highs in games played (65), assists (13) and points (14). His future with the Jets is uncertain because he is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent in the summer.
Apr 3 - 3:30 PM

Paul Postma will undergo surgery for his lower body injury, which will need four-to-eight weeks for recovery.

And so ends his season. In 65 games this season Postma has posted just a goal and 14 points with 36 hits and 42 blocks.
Apr 1 - 3:31 PM

Paul Postma (lower body) may need surgery.

Coach Paul Maurice said a decision on that matter will come in the next few days. Postma hasn't played since Mar. 16 because of a lower-body injury.
Mar 28 - 12:47 PM

Paul Postma is out of action with a lower-body injury.

Consider the Jets' seventh defenseman day-to-day for the time being. Brian Strait will take his place against the Wild on Sunday.
Mar 19 - 11:49 AM

Paul Postma scored his first goal of the season on Thursday night.

He logged just 7:51 of ice time against Pittsburgh, but it was enough to finally get on the board in the goal department. The Jets defender has also contributed 11 assists in 54 games this campaign.
Feb 17 - 10:30 AM

Paul Postma will be scratched against the Oilers on Sunday.

Through 25 games this season the veteran defender has five helpers with 14 hits and 17 blocks.

Paul Postma won't be in the lineup Wednesday when the Jets take on the Minnesota Wild.

Joining Postma in the press box will be Chase De Leo, a familiar combination that watches games often. Rosters aren't likely to need adjusting with these two so low on the fantasy radar.
Wed, Nov 23, 2016 07:01:00 PM

Paul Postma will be joined by Chase De Leo in the press box on Sunday against Carolina.

Postma has picked up a trio of helpers along with 10 blocks and 12 hits in 16 games this season. Which is nice to see considering how much time he's lost to injury over the last couple of seasons.
Sun, Nov 20, 2016 04:41:00 PM

Paul Postma will tag in for Tyler Myers against the Sabres on Sunday afternoon.

Unfortunately Postma has yet to make an impact on the score sheet through his first three games of the season, and has not made much of a career in doing so either. So we'd let him lie on the wire.

Jacob Trouba's trade request might give a defender like Paul Postma a shot at regular playing time with the Jets this season.

"I try not to worry about stuff that happens in the media, contracts and stuff. What's going on with (Trouba) has nothing to do with me, but it does play a small part and it's tough not to think about," said Postma. "I just want to play my best and whatever happens, happens." He appeared in just 26 games with the Jets last season and would like to play on a more consistent basis.
Wed, Sep 28, 2016 09:21:00 AM

It's been a long, long time since Paul Postma last scored a goal.

Since Dec. 31st, 2014 to be exact, however that's only a span of 19 games for him due to injury. Postma scored the seventh goal of his career in 115 games, but the Jets fell to the Ducks 3-2 in overtime on Sunday.
