Erik Condra hasn't scored a goal since February 23.

"I think when you have confidence and everything is going in, you take a little extra time," said Condra. "When you don't, you just try and work hard and get it off as quick as you can. Get it to the net as quick as you can until that first one goes in. It's frustrating, for sure. But we're playing well. You can't get too frustrated when you're playing that well." Condra isn't a factor in standard leagues. He has three goals and 11 points in 44 games this season.

Erik Condra potted his second goal of the 2013 season in Ottawa's 2-0 win over Buffalo Tuesday.

For most of the contest, he helped shut down the Sabres' top line of Thomas Vanek, Cody Hodgson and Jason Pominville along with linemates Zack Smith and Chris Neil. However, he scored after he was moved up to the second line with Kyle Turris and Jakob Silfverberg. Condra has four points, 12 penalty minutes and a plus-5 rating in 13 games.

Erik Condra returned from his playing odyssey in Germany on Monday night.

He played in seven games for third division team EV Fussen, where he had eight goals and 11 assists, prior to moving up to SC Riessersee in the second division, where he notched 10 goals and five assists in 10 contests. "It was a good trip," he said. "It's a beautiful part of the world, it was something I wouldn't change. Obviously I would have liked to play some real NHL hockey but with what was going on, it was a great experience for me. I was a little bit homesick, but it was worth it to travel around the world and see different parts. It was fun."

Erik Condra had a goal and an assist in his debut for Riessersee, but it wasn't enough in a 4-2 loss to Ravensburg.

Matt D'Agostini scored the other marker in the contest for the second-tier German club, while other locked-out NHLer, Tampa Bay's Adam Hall, scored for Ravensburg.

Erik Condra has reportedly agreed to join EV Fussen of the Oberliga, which is Germany's third tier league.

He skated in a career-high 82 games with the Ottawa Senators last season and posted a personal best of 25 points. Condra is slated to arrive on Wednesday in what should be viewed as a big win for the Oberliga considering other players had mostly be signing in Germany's higher tiered divisions.

Erik Condra worked with Ottawa's top line during Wednesday's practice and he's expected to skate with Jason Spezza and Milan Michalek again on Thursday.

"We'll see how it goes in practice the next couple of days and make a decision before the game (Friday against the New York Islanders)," said coach Paul MacLean. "Colin Greening is a big body, a good defensive conscience on that line and Condra also brings that. We're looking to find a way to get some offense. We're going to juggle it and see if we can get a spark." Condra has recorded seven goals and 18 points in 52 games, while Greening has 12 markers and 27 points in 53 contests this season.

Erik Condra's two-year pact with Ottawa is a one-way deal.

The contract is worth a total of $1.25 million, which will see him make $600,000 in the first year and $650,000 the season after. "I'm excited, it's nice to have it out of the way and focus on training and getting ready for the main camp," Condra said. "I think it's a good fit. I think last year, at the end of the year when I came up, I proved I could play there and make an impact." He also commented that winning at the AHL level and winning in the Calder Cup finals was a great learning experience for him and his teammates, which he wants to carry over into the 2011-12 campaign with Ottawa.

Erik Condra scored twice as Ottawa beat New Jersey 2-1 on Tuesday.

Go figure the league’s worst team beats the league’s hottest team. Condra was the only reason that Ottawa was able to beat the surging Devils as he scored twice (his third and fourth of the season). He has looked good in his NHL career, getting almost 17 minutes of ice time. Jason Spezza had two assists in the win.
