Robert Bortuzzo will skate on the third pairing with Colton Parayko on Saturday against Nashville.

Boy, that's a rough and tumble duo if there ever was one. Bortuzzo, who declared himself in the lineup, has seen just four games this season and will likely be ready to make an impact.

Nov 17 - 7:12 PM

Robert Bortuzzo (lower body) will take part in the pregame warmup and will be a game-time decision Thursday.

He has missed the last eight games with a lower-body injury, but could make his return against San Jose. If Bortuzzo can play then Petteri Lindbohm would probably be the odd-man out.

Robert Bortuzzo (lower body) is getting close to being back in the lineup.

"It's hard to say. We're re-evaluating things every morning and how you respond to things," he said. "I can feel myself getting closer. I want it to be as soon as possible, obviously." Bortuzzo was basically a full participant in practice on Wednesday.
Nov 16 - 4:47 PM

Robert Bortuzzo skated with his teammates Monday for the first time since suffering a lower-body injury.

Robert Bortuzzo (lower body) didn't skate Tuesday and a timetable for his return remains uncertain.

"Until he joins us, then we don't really have an exact time frame," coach Ken Hitchcock said. "He's with the trainers again tomorrow and then we'll see maybe later in the week he can join us." Bortuzzo hasn't played since Oct. 27 because of a lower-body injury.

Robert Bortuzzo will miss Saturday's match against the Kings with a lower body injury.

Bortuzzo saw his least amount of ice time on Thursday night playing just 8:37, but he did throw three hits with a minor and a hit. He has 13 hits and six blocks with that minor penalty in four games this season, so we would look elsewhere for depth production.

Robert Bortuzzo will be in the lineup for the Blues on opening night against Chicago.

"(Bortuzzo) earned it through training camp," coach Ken Hitchcock said. "He got it, he earned it. If you have any value in training camp and exhibition games, you give the guy the spot. That's exactly what he did. So 'Borts,' good for him, he earned it and we'll see if he can keep it." Carl Gunnarsson will be scratched to make room for him.
