Robert Bortuzzo is expected to be a healthy scratch for a third straight game Monday.

The Blues will use the same six defensemen in Game who played in the previous two contests of the series. It's going to be tough to get playing time in a group that includes Carl Gunnarsson, Alex Pietrangelo, Jay Bouwmeester, Zbynek Michalek, Barret Jackman and Kevin Shattenkirk.

Robert Bortuzzo, Chris Butler and goaltender Niklas Lundstrom are scratched for Thursday's game against Minnesota.

Lundstrom is the team's emergency goaltender in case something happens to Jake Allen or Brian Elliott. Both Bortuzzo and Butler don't carry any fantasy relevance.

"I think we see what he means to the team," Hitchcock said. "There's an edge, there's a competitiveness, he's a good player.... Bortuzzo in our lineup makes us a lot better right now." That's noteworthy as St. Louis has an excess of talented healthy defensemen. With Bortuzzo staying in the lineup, it looks like Barret Jackman will be a healthy scratch on Friday.
Apr 3 - 6:05 PM

Defensemen Robert Bortuzzo and Chris Butler and forward Chris Porter will remain healthy scratches Monday night in Vancouver.

Bortuzzo has played in just nine games with the Blues since being traded by the Penguins and has scored a goal and two points. He will sit out for a third straight game. Butler hasn’t suited up since March 22nd versus the Red Wings and has three goals and eight points in 32 games overall this season. Porter had skated in the last two Blues games but will with T.J. Oshie healthy again, he will sit out Monday night. He has a goal and assist this season in 21 games.

He also contributed four hits to the win. Bortuzzo now has two points and 28 hits through nine games with the Blues.
