Bortuzzo has not put up the kind of numbers even leagues that rewards tough guys should be picked up in. He has but a goal, 11 PIMs, 13 blocks, and 17 hits in 10 games.

Robert Bortuzzo had a great night on Friday, recording two thirds of the illustrious Gordie How hat trick.

Bortuzzo scored only the sixth goal of his career to put the Blues up 3-1 mid way through the game. Only 71 seconds later, he'd drop the mitts with Derek Dorsett. Not a bad night at all.

After being a healthy scratch in the regular season opener, Robert Bortuzzo will play in Saturday's game against the Minnesota Wild.

"Anytime you’re sitting out games, it’s disappointing, a little frustrating," Bortuzzo said. "Obviously opening night is something kind of special. But you’re going to stay positive about things and show that you’re working hard in practice and ready to contribute every day."
