Mar 11 - 5:48 PM

Zac Rinaldo will return from his ankle injury Thursday.

He will play alongside Michael Raffl and Adam Hall against Anaheim. "It's been too long -– three weeks is too long for me," said Rinaldo, who was originally supposed to be out for six weeks. "I [was] going to do everything I can to do more to get back as soon as I can, and I did. I'm a little nervous being out of the lineup 10 games. Maybe that is good, I don't know. I bring a little more energy when I'm nervous." He has two points and 101 penalty minutes in 44 games this year.
Jan 30 - 5:08 PM

Zac Rinaldo (ankle) was able to fully participate in Wednesday's practice.

Rinaldo declared himself "good to go" just three weeks after sustaining a high ankle sprain that was supposed to sideline him for six weeks. Flyers coach Craig Berube confirmed that Rinaldo is healthy enough to play, but isn't sure if he'll insert him into the lineup for Thursday's contest.
Jan 29 - 1:56 PM

Zac Rinaldo (ankle) will not be available for Tuesday's game.

The good news is that Rinaldo appears to be ahead of schedule. He was initially expected to miss six weeks when he was hurt on Jan. 8, but he has already started to practice.
Jan 28 - 2:57 PM

Zac Rinaldo (ankle) has started practicing with the Flyers.

Rinaldo was injured on January 8 and was expected to miss six weeks. The fact that he is already practicing has to be a good sign. He has two points and 101 penalty minutes in 44 games this season so you don't have to be a brain surgeon to realize where his fantasy value can be found.
Jan 27 - 8:27 AM

Zac Rinaldo (ankle) has been put on the injured reserve list.

That's not a surprise given that Rinaldo is expected to miss the next six weeks due to a high-ankle sprain. He has two points and 101 penalty minutes in 44 contests this season.
Jan 10 - 10:08 AM

Zac Rinaldo is expected to be out for six weeks because of a high-ankle sprain.

He scored his first goal of the season in Wednesday's win over the Montreal Canadiens, but now he'll head to the sidelines. Rinaldo didn't appear to be hurt after the game, so the injury comes as a bit of a surprise. Look elsewhere for your penalty minutes.
Jan 9 - 5:53 PM

Zac Rinaldo scored his first goal of the 2013-14 campaign on Wednesday.

Rinaldo is a physical forward that has 101 penalty minutes and 135 hits in 44 games. He's a good bet to continue his pace in both of those categories, but he has next to no offensive upside. This was just Rinaldo's second point of the season.
Jan 9 - 10:24 AM

Zac Rinaldo amassed 27 penalty minutes in Saturday's loss to Dallas.

All of those minutes were assessed during an attack on Stars agitator Antoine Roussel. Rinaldo could be facing supplemental discipline from the league as a result of his outburst.

Zac Rinaldo has started to kill some penalties for the Flyers.

Rinaldo's value in fantasy pools is in the penalty minutes category so killing penalties does not occur as often as it should as he is the one serving the penalty on many an occasion. "We're working him hard in practice," coach Craig Berube said. "We needed him there in that situation in a tight game. We had him there against Pittsburgh and we'd like to get him more time there. We're working with him. It's a good role for him." Rinaldo has one assist and a minus-two rating in 19 games to go with his 36 penalty minutes.
Sun, Nov 17, 2013 07:42:00 AM

Zac Rinaldo played only 3:39 minutes on Saturday.

Rinaldo took a couple of minor penalties so he spent more time in the sin bin than he did on the ice. Rinaldo has only one assist and 22 penalty minutes in 10 games this season so it's obvious as that his fantasy value isn't in the offensive side of the game.
