Stars forward Colton Sceviour assisted on two goals to help Dallas defeat the Blues 3-2 in St. Louis Monday night and tie the teams' best-of-seven, second-round series 3-3.

The seventh and deciding game of the series will be played in Dallas Wednesday night. Monday, the Stars scored all three of their goals in the first period. Mattias Janmark and Vernon Fiddler scored 20 seconds apart to give Dallas a 2-0 lead by the 5:13 mark. Jason Spezza scored on the power play to make it 3-0 with 3:11 left in the first. Sceviour assisted on the goals by Fiddler and Spezza. They were his second and third assists of the playoffs. Janmark's goal was his second of the post-season. Fiddler's was his first and it was the fifth for Spezza.

The Stars opened the scoring on a goal by Sceviour but then gave up six straight unanswered to the Blues. Jason Spezza and Johnny Oduya picked up assists on the lone Stars' goal. It was the second straight game with a point for Sceviour.

Sceviour tied the game at one in the second period and he picked up the primary assist on Valeri Nichushkin's tying goal in the third period. The 26-year-old has seven goals and 15 points in 55 games this season.
