Carl Gunnarsson, Chris Porter, and Chris Butler will each sit out Sunday night's tilt with the Chicago Blackhawks.

While Porter and Butler leave much to be desired on the fantasy front, Gunnarsson has had a nice season for himself. He's posted 12 points, 41 hits, and 104 blocks over 54 games this season. Perhaps most remarkably, he's only taken a single penalty, a minor, this season.

Carl Gunnarsson left Saturday's game against the Wild in the second period with an upper-body injury.

Gunnarsson has already missed time because of a hip injury and a concussion this season. It's unclear how long the Blues expect him to be out but they will probably take the proper precautions with the playoffs right around the corner.
Mar 22 - 10:43 AM

Carl Gunnarsson (concussion) has been activated off of the injured reserve list.

Gunnarsson hasn't played since Dec. 6. He has a goal and five points in 20 games this season. His return will likely lead to Ian Cole spending more time in the press box.
Jan 2 - 2:06 PM

Carl Gunnarsson's status should be clearer after Friday's morning skate.

"We're going to talk to him today and see if he's ready to play," coach Ken Hitchcock said. "He's had no complications, no setbacks at all. He's acting and behaving just like a player now." He has missed the last 11 games with a concussion, but could return on Friday.
Jan 2 - 10:44 AM

Carl Gunnarsson (concussion) may not be available to return Friday.

The Blues filled out their roster by calling up forwards Colin Fraser and John McCarthy on Wednesday. If Gunnarsson is going to return from a concussion then St. Louis would have to make a roster move to make room for him.
