Philadelphia has announced the signing of Jay Rosehill to a two-year extension.

He was acquired from Anaheim in exchange for Harry Zolnierczyk on April 1 and in seven games with the Flyers he has amassed 47 penalty minutes. Rosehill has also chipped in a goal and 10 hits.
Apr 17 - 6:21 PM

Jay Rosehill will probably make his Philadelphia debut Thursday against Toronto.

Rosehill has played all 72 of his previous NHL games for the Maple Leafs. Toronto also leads the league in fighting majors this season, so he shouldn't have a problem finding some to tangle with Thursday night.
Apr 3 - 9:18 AM

Jay Rosehill is expected to practice with the Flyers on Tuesday.

He was acquired from Anaheim on Monday in exchange for Harry Zolnierczyk. Rosehill has 198 penalty minutes in 72 career NHL appearances.
Apr 2 - 9:42 AM

The Philadelphia Flyers have acquired Jay Rosehill from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for Harry Zolnierczyk.

Rosehill has eight points and 90 penalty minutes in 33 AHL games this season. If the Flyers decide to call him up, then he'll probably average at least two penalty minutes per game.
Apr 1 - 4:40 PM

The Anaheim Ducks kept Jay Rosehill, Ryan Parent and Troy Bodie in the mix by signing them to one-year contracts.

All three players aren't expected to be impact players, but they do provide the Ducks with some solid depth. Despite being just 25, Parent has 106 NHL games to his credit. That might not help him avoid switching between the big league and the AHL, but it shouldn't hurt his chances, either.
Jan 16 - 9:10 PM

Jay Rosehill has signed a professional tryout contract with the AHL Norfolk Admirals.

Rosehill was an unrestricted free agent when the lockout began. He had no points and 60 penalty minutes in 31 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs last season. Norfolk is the AHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks.

Jay Rosehill has been placed on re-entry waivers.

If Rosehill clears waivers, he'll probably serve on Toronto's fourth line. He spends a lot of time in the sin bin, but has next to no offensive upside.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed Jay Rosehill to a one-year, one-way contract.

He amassed 71 penalty minutes and three points in 26 appearances with the Leafs last season. Rosehill's spot on Toronto's roster next season isn't secure even though he signed a one-way deal, so we can't recommend him for PIMs at this time.

Jay Rosehill, who has been a healthy scratch in five of Toronto's last six games, is likely to play Saturday.

Fredrik Sjostrom is day-to-day with an upper body injury, so Rosehill will probably help fill the void. Rosehill spends a lot of time in the sin bin, but he doesn't play regularly enough to warrant owning in fantasy leagues.
Fri, Mar 11, 2011 01:19:00 PM

The Maple Leafs have promoted Jay Rosehill from the AHL to take the place of the injured Colton Orr.

If you need a boost in your penalty minute totals, consider adding Rosehill to your roster on a short-term basis.
