Date:

Marcus Foligno had a strong first game as a center Thursday night against Calgary.

He scored a goal, his first since October 14th and won 70% of his faceoffs. Foligno will once again line up as a pivot Saturday against Florida even with the return of Cody Hodgson to the lineup, who will also play as a center. Foligno will once again be flanked by Nicolas Deslauriers and Drew Stafford. We aren't, however, recommending him at this time.
Dec 13 - 9:24 AM

Marcus Foligno will play center in Thursday's game against Calgary.

The Sabres are making Cody Hodgson a healthy scratch, so Foligno will move to center to replace him. He's expected to play on a line with Drew Stafford and Chris Stewart. The 23-year-old has two goals and five points in 22 games this season.

Nov 14 - 2:17 PM

Marcus Foligno was a healthy scratch on Thursday.

He hasn't picked up a point in his last nine games and just returned from an upper-body injury this past Tuesday. "Maybe we pushed him too quick," coach Ted Nolan said. "His conditioning is a little bit off. When your conditioning is off and you're a big man, when you're slow, you'll look a little slower. We're going to give him the benefit of doubt, whip him into shape the next couple of days." He missed four games due to the ailment.
Nov 14 - 9:19 AM

Marcus Foligno is ready to return from an upper-body injury.

Nov 11 - 1:55 PM

Marcus Foligno (upper body) took part in a full practice on Monday.

Nov 10 - 1:57 PM

There is a chance that Marcus Foligno will suit up for the Sabres Saturday night against the Penguins.

He has been out of action for the past week with an upper-body injury but he did take the pre-game skate Friday and seems to be progressing. Foligno will be re-evsaluated Saturday to determine if he can return to action against Pittsburgh.
Nov 8 - 9:26 AM

Nov 4 - 1:38 PM

Marcus Foligno wasn't able to play Sunday because of an undisclosed injury.

According to the Sabres, Foligno got "banged up" during Saturday's 5-0 loss to Pittsburgh. His absence resulted in the recall of Johan Larsson. Consider Foligno day-to-day for now.
Nov 3 - 10:32 AM

Marcus Foligno started Saturday's win over San Jose as Buffalo's second-line center.

He played between Drew Stafford and Cody Hodgson, who switched to left wing. "It's different," Foligno said. "When you're on the wing, you're mostly on the wall, protecting your side of the ice. When you're center, you're kind of all over. You're protecting both sides, and you're up and down." Foligno logged a team-low 8:29 of ice time, so the experiment may not last.
