He had no goals and two assists in his previous eight games. Foligno has scored only four goals and 11 points in 45 appearances this season. He skated with Jack Eichel and Zemgus Girgensons on Wednesday to try to get him going offensively and he made a good first impression by scoring.
Feb 4 - 7:45 AM

Marcus Foligno is projected to play with Jack Eichel and Zemgus Girgensons on Wednesday versus Montreal.

"It's a good line and we had a lot of chemistry out there today," Foligno said after Tuesday's practice. "All of us work hard and Jack is a phenomenal player. My job is the same-old, just try to create space for him out there, make sure he feels comfortable and he can use his speed on the forecheck and on the rush." He has three goals and seven assists in 44 games this season, but playing with Eichel could give him a boost.

Marcus Foligno will indeed be a late scratch against Boston on Saturday.

The Sabres have not yet announced a reason for Foligno's benching, but he did miss the last three games due to an upper body injury. We'll keep you posted. In the mean time, Matt Moulson will take his place.

It appears Marcus Foligno may miss Saturady's match against Boston as he is not on the ice warming up.

We'll keep you posted on Foligno's status, but it's worth noting that he missed the last three games due to an upper body injury. Through 30 games this season Foligno has six points, 22 PIMs, and 66 hits. Look for Matt Moulson to take his place should the rugged winger not go.

Marcus Foligno is available to return from an upper-body injury Saturday.

He has missed the last three games, but worked with Nicolas Deslauriers and David Legwand during the morning skate. Foligno stayed late for some extra work and if he plays against Boston then Matt Moulson may be scratched.

Marcus Foligno was held from Tuesday's match with New Jersey due to an upper body injury.

Well considering he has 66 hits in 30 games thus far, and has collected 365 hits over his last 161 games, it's no surprise he's a bit banged up. We'll keep you posted on his status.

Marcus Foligno and Carlo Colaiacovo will be scratched from Tuesday's match with New Jersey.

Of the pair, only Foligno presents a modicum of fantasy value with seven points and a whopping 66 hits in 30 games thus far. But unless you're in a league that rewards tough guys, you may not find much use for either of their services.

Marcus Foligno is not playing Saturday night because of a lower-body injury.
