Date:

Richard Bachman picked up his third straight win with 25 saves in the Oilers 4-2 upset of LA on Tuesday.

Bachman has now allowed just three goals while stopping 83 of 86 shots during a three game personal win streak. He did let in a stinker of a goal on a center ice shot from Drew Doughty late in the third period but his teammates picked up with an empty net goal late so it didn't turn out to be the story of the game. Bachman is likely to get remainder of the starts if the Oilers are smart in riding the hot hand.
Apr 8 - 1:42 AM

Richard Bachman will be between the pipes for Edmonton on Tuesday against Los Angeles.

Prior to leaving the team because of the death of his brother, Bachman posted two straight wins for the Oilers. He stopped 58 of 59 shots during that span.
Apr 7 - 3:51 PM

Richard Bachman (personal) has rejoined the Edmonton Oilers.

Bachman temporarily left the team following the sudden death of his brother. Oilers coach Todd Nelson said he was leaning towards starting Bachman on Tuesday, but the final decision hadn't been made.
Apr 7 - 9:33 AM

Richard Bachman won't be available for Edmonton on Wednesday because of a death in his family.

He has posted two wins for the Oilers in his past two outings and he's stopped 58 of the 59 shots he has faced during that time. Our deepest condolences go to him and his family for their loss.
Apr 1 - 1:19 PM

Richard Bachman made 29 saves and won his second straight game on Monday 4-1 over Colorado.

Bachman was simply sensational once again. He's now turned away 58 of 59 pucks sent his way over his two victories over the Avalanche and Stars. His record rises to 2-2-0 with 13 goals against on 141 combined shots over six games.
Mar 31 - 2:54 AM

Richard Bachman will be in goal for Edmonton on Monday against Colorado.

That shouldn't come as a surprise after he stopped all 29 shots fired his way on Friday in a 4-0 shutout win against Dallas. Bachman is being rewarded with a second straight start
Mar 30 - 2:37 PM

Richard Bachman made all 29 saves and recorded his second career shutout in Friday night's 4-0 victory over his former club, the Dallas Stars.

It was also his first career victory over the Stars. Bachman was simply sensational all night along, and came through on all three of Dallas' power plays as well. Backman's record improves to 1-2-0 in five games this season with just 12 goals against on 111 combined shots.
Mar 28 - 12:45 AM

Richard Bachman will get the start against the Dallas Stars on Friday night.

Bachman will be making just his second start and fourth appearance for the Oilers this season. He's winless thus far with 12 goals against on 82 combined shots. Unfortunately he hasn't had a good season with AHL Oklahoma City, going 26-19-6 with a .908 save percentage and a 2.99 GAA through 52 games this season.
Mar 27 - 5:52 PM

Goalie Richard Bachman, making a rare start, allowed six goals in the Edmonton Oilers' 7-4 loss to the Hurricanes in Carlina Sunday.

Bachman, 27, was playing in his third game of the season. His goals-against average is 6.12 and his save percentage is .836. He won't be getting many more starts, we don't think. And we also don't suggest you use Bachman in any kind of fantasy play. He's an unproven backup goalie with a pitiful NHL team.
Mar 8 - 7:08 PM

Richard Bachman will get the start in Sunday's game against Carolina.

Ben Scrivens was outstanding in a 2-1 shootout loss to Chicago on Friday but the Oilers will turn to Bachman anyway. The 27-year-old has played in just two NHL games this season. He shouldn't be counted on in standard fantasy leagues.
Mar 7 - 3:05 PM

Richard Bachman replaced Viktor Fasth just 20:41 into Saturday's tilt with Ottawa, he fared no better by allowing four goals on 27 shots.

It was another terrible game for Edmonton as they fell 7-2 in the nation's capital. It was his first NHL action since Nov. 2nd, 2013 against Detroit. Unless you're in a reverse league, Bachman's career 14-12-2 record with 87 goals against in 36 games won't help you much.
Feb 14 - 5:36 PM

Edmonton has called up Richard Bachman.

Bachman has a 2.30 GAA and .921 save percentage in 22 games in 2014-15. He's been summoned because Ben Scrivens is out Tuesday due to an undisclosed injury.
Feb 10 - 12:23 PM

Richard Bachman has been selected as the AHL Player of the Week.

Bachman turned aside 60 of 61 shots over three contests last week. That includes back-to-back shutouts on Saturday and Sunday. He has a 2.20 GAA and .925 save percentage in 18 AHL contests this season.

Jan 12 - 6:47 PM

Richard Bachman has been sent to the minors by Edmonton.

Viktor Fasth (groin) is healthy enough to play, so the Oilers can afford to let Bachman return to the AHL. Bachman didn't end up getting any ice time during Fasth's recovery.
