Cody Eakin was back between Ryan Garbutt and Antoine Roussel in Tuesday's game against Edmonton.

Coach Lindy Ruff made the move midway through the contest. While Garbutt was injured, Eakin had been playing with Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn and Roussel was skating with Jason Spezza and Ales Hemsky. The reunited trio can provide energy, but they obviously lose fantasy value outside of the top-two lines.
Nov 26 - 1:00 PM

Look for Cody Eakin to stay on Dallas' top line between Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin for Saturday night's game against the Kings.

In line rushes Saturday morning the Stars' other lines were as follows: Antoine Roussel-Jason Spezza-Ales Hemsky, Travis Moen-Vern Fiddler-Patrcik Eaves and Erik Cole-Shawn Horcoff-Curtis McKenzie. The first PP unit featured Benn, Spezza and Seguin but also surprisingly Antoine Roussel and John Klingberg, who has impressed the Dallas coaching staff. The second unit had Trevor Daley and Alex Goligoski at the points and Eakin, Hemsky and Eaves up front. Adjust your roster accordingly.
Nov 22 - 1:42 PM

Cody Eakin picked up a goal and a helper in Tuesday's loss to Carolina.

He netted a shorthanded goal and earned an assist on goal by Tyler Seguin. Eakin played with Seguin and Jamie Benn for the most of the contest, which gives him a temporary fantasy boost. He didn't have a point in his previous eight games.
Nov 19 - 12:31 PM

Cody Eakin is projected to play on the Stars' top line on Tuesday.

Eakin will play alongside Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin. The first line has gone cold lately, so Stars coach Lindy Ruff is looking for this change to help them bounce back. If it pays off, then Eakin might stay on the top line for a while.
Nov 18 - 3:28 PM

Cody Eakin returned to action on Thursday November 13.

He sat out three games with an upper-body injury before making his return. Eakin posted one shot and a plus-1 rating in a 2-0 win over Los Angeles.
Nov 14 - 2:53 AM

Cody Eakin (upper body) will not play on Tuesday.

Eakin isn't far off from being ready though. He's missed the Stars' last two games.
Nov 11 - 4:33 PM

Cody Eakin (upper body) may be ready to play on Tuesday against Arizona.

If he can't return for that match then coach Lindy Ruff thinks that Eakin should be ready for Thursday's game versus Los Angeles. He has missed two contests due to an upper-body injury. Eakin skated before practice on Monday.
Nov 11 - 10:34 AM

Cody Eakin is out for Saturday night's game against the Sharks.

He is still dealing with an upper-body injury and he did not skate Saturday morning. Consider Eakin day-to-day.
Nov 8 - 12:57 PM

Eakin probably won't be able to return on Saturday. It would be his second straight game on the sidelines.
Nov 7 - 5:35 PM

Nov 7 - 9:14 AM

Cody Eakin didn't practice Wednesday because of some muscle soreness, but he's expected to play Thursday night.

He has generated two goals and two assists in 12 games this campaign.
Nov 6 - 12:48 PM

Cody Eakin skated alongside Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin during Monday's practice.

That would obviously be a great opportunity for Eakin, but Stars coach Lindy Ruff wouldn't commit to going with that line on Tuesday. Eakin typically centers the third line, but he would shift to the right wing in order to play with Benn and Seguin.
Oct 13 - 4:15 PM

Cody Eakin potted a goal in Dallas' 3-2 shootout loss to Chicago.

He didn't look rusty at all despite missing most of training camp, while waiting for a new contract. Eakin also won 14 draws and lost just nine versus the Blackhawks. He finished the match with 18:31 of ice time, while seeing plenty of action on special teams (3:05 on PP and 3:00 on PK).
Oct 10 - 11:49 AM

Cody Eakin has agreed to a two-year, $3.8 million contract with the Dallas Stars.

Eakin has missed most of the preseason, but at least he has a week and a half to get back up to speed before the Stars' season opener. He's projected to be Dallas' third-line center after Tyler Seguin and Jason Spezza.
