Jake Muzzin had a great comeback season for the Los Angeles Kings.
Muzzin had a very disappointing 2016-17 season with nine goals and 28 points after a couple of 40 point seasons for the Kings. But the defenseman returned to the 40-plus point mark as he had eight goals and 42 points in 74 games. The only real bad news on Muzzin this past season was the separated shoulder he suffered near the end of the season but he should be 100 percent come training camp. He is worth taking as your third defenseman in most pools. May 13 - 7:58 AM

Jake Muzzin will indeed return to the lineup for Game 3 on Sunday night.

Muzzin was alongside Drew Doughty during the morning skate and they are paired again for the pregame warmups. The Kings will get their top-two blueliners back in the lineup for a pivotal Game 3 against the Golden Knights. Muzzin had been out of action since Mar. 26 with an upper-body injury.

Jake Muzzin (upper body) expects to play Sunday night in Game 3 against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Jake Muzzin (upper body) shed his no-contact jersey at Sunday's morning skate.

That certainly is a good sign for Muzzin and the Kings ahead of Game 3 against Vegas. His return to the lineup could come as early as Sunday night after he skated alongside Drew Doughty in the session. Coach John Stevens will probably have a better update once he speaks to the media.

Jake Muzzin (upper body) once again skated while wearing a non-contact jersey on Friday.

It looks like Muzzin won't play in Game 2 on Friday. The Kings are also without Drew Doughty because he's serving a one-game suspension, so Los Angeles' defensive depth will be challenged.
Apr 13 - 3:59 PM

Jake Muzzin (upper body) hasn't started to take contact yet.

Kings coach John Stevens hasn't ruled Muzzin in or out of Game 2 on Friday, but if he isn't taking contact yet then it would be surprising to see Muzzin play that soon. Muzzin was a major part of the Kings' defense during the regular season and had eight goals and 42 points in 74 games.

Jake Muzzin (upper body) get on the ice at the end of practice Sunday.

Make sure his legs stay ready, and then when he's ready, we'll get him going again. But, the first thing is to get him on the ice, the next thing is to get him back with the team, and we'll go from there." Muzzin has missed the last two games due to an upper-body injury.
