Jan 8 - 9:24 AM

Nate Prosser will be sat in favor of Tyson Strachan for Tuesday's match with Columbus.

Prosser has posted 26 PIMs and 37 blocks through 31 games so far this season. Meanwhile Strachan is a career AHL-NHL tweener with no fantasy value.
Jan 5 - 7:02 PM

Nate Prosser dropped the gloves with Predators forward James Neal on Saturday night.

The Wild wanted a piece of Neal because his hit injured Zach Parise the last time these two teams met. "It shows how we feel about what [Neal] did to our best player," said goalie Devan Dubnyk. "It was important just for the symbolic part of it. Guys are going to fight for each other."

Nate Prosser (back) will return Tuesday night.

He will be paired with Christian Folin against Winnipeg after missing this past Saturday's contest due to a sore back.

Nate Prosser, Kurtis Gabriel, Niklas Backstrom were scratched against the Jets on Sunday.

Unfortunately there simply is not any fantasy value to speak of between the three of them at this time. Prosser has seen the most playing time, just two games thus far, registering nothing of value.

Nate Prosser will be a healthy scratch in Thursday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The 29-year-old has skated in just one game for Minnesota this season. Goaltender Niklas Backstrom will also be scratched tonight. Neither player will have fantasy value this season.

Nate Prosser and Niklas Backstrom will again be healthy scratches as the Wild play the Ducks on Sunday night.

Unfortunately with Prosser unable to crack the lineup and Backstrom firmly planted as their third string goalie, there simply isn't much fantasy upside to speak of between them.
Sun, Oct 18, 2015 07:19:00 PM

Nate Prosser and Niklas Backstrom will watch their Wild take on the Kings from the stands on Friday night.

In the slimmest of ways, Prosser is a marginally more valuable fantasy asset than Backstrom who is firmly planted as the third string goalie. Then again, Prosser's a far more valuable asset to the Wild than Backstrom these days so he has that going for him.
