Nate Prosser registered an assist in a 4-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday.

It was Prosser's first point in two and a half months. He doesn't have much offensive upside and consequently shouldn't be on many people's fantasy radar.

Nate Prosser is projected to play on Tuesday after spending the Wild's last two games in the press box.

Prosser should play alongside Clayton Stoner. Prosser has 13 points and 69 penalty minutes in 74 games this season.

Not earth-shattering fantasy news by any strecth.

Nate Prosser is still awaiting his first game action of the 2013-14 season.

"I'm just trying to stay as positive as I can and be ready when my number's called," he said. "Mentally, it can be pretty tough at times. But that's the name of the game. It's the position I'm in, just waiting around for an injury or bad play. And hopefully none of that happens." He played in 17 games with the Wild last season, but has been a healthy scratch for four straight contests this year.

The Minnesota Wild will rely more on defensemen Nate Prosser and Justin Falk this season.

Both he and Falk are helped by injuries to Jonas Brodin and Marco Scandella. "We feel [Falk and Prosser] have earned the right to get the first shot with the injuries that we have," GM Chuck Fletcher said. "They're young players that took a big step in their development, and I know our coaches are very comfortable putting them in the lineup. We like our depth on D, and when Scandella and Brodin get healthy, we'll be that much deeper." Prosser had 12 points and 57 penalty minutes in 51 games so he could be drafted late in deep pools.

Nate Prosser has inked a two-year/$1.65 million contract extension with the Minnesota Wild.

The deal is one-way, so Prosser will make the same amount regardless of if he's playing in the AHL or NHL. He'll earn $800,000 next season and $850,000 in 2013-14. Prosser would have been a restricted free agent this summer.
