The Colorado Avalanche have signed Mike Carman to an entry-level contract.

Carman was the Avs third round selection in the 2006 Entry Draft. The University of Minnesota product had eight goals and 18 points in 39 games this season as a senior. He will finish out the season with the AHL Lake Erie Monsters. He does not have any fantasy value and projects to be a bottom-six forward at best in the NHL.
