Date:

Carter Hutton is expected to start Wednesday night against Detroit.

He was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, so is slated to play his first game since he posted a 26-save shutout versus Philadelphia on Feb. 6. Hutton has an 8-7-2 record with a 2.65 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage this season.
Feb 15 - 1:44 PM

St. Louis Blues goalie Carter Hutton made 26 saves Monday night and shut out the Flyers 2-0 in Philadelphia.

Although Hutton is only 8-7-2 on the season, he has now recorded three shutouts. Hutton was able to take advantage of the Flyers' offensive difficulties. They have not scored in two games and in fact haven't scored in 122:49, dating back to last Thursday night. Hutton, a backup, improved his goals-against average to 2.65 and his save percentage to .902. Despite his three shutouts, Hutton is not a wise fantasy option because he is inconsistent and doesn't play a whole lot.
Feb 6 - 10:48 PM

Carter Hutton will be between the pipes against Philadelphia on Monday night.

He was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate and will start the first game of the Blues' back-to-back situation. Hutton has a 7-7-2 record with a 2.81 goals-against average and an .896 save percentage this season.

Hutton has a 7-7-2 record with a 2.81 goals-against-average and an .896 save percentage this season. Jake Allen entered the game in relief of Hutton and he stopped all three shots he faced.
Jan 26 - 11:08 PM

Carter Hutton will start again for St. Louis on Thursday night versus Minnesota.

The initial plan called for Allen to play against the Wild, but Hutton will get the nod as a reward after he blanked Pittsburgh on Tuesday night. Hutton has a 4-2-0 record this month with a 2.21 GAA, a .916 save percentage and two shutouts.
Jan 25 - 3:09 PM

Carter Hutton stopped all 34 shots he faced in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

It's a much-needed result for the Blues goaltender, as he managed to help stop his team's losing streak at three games. Hutton has a 7-6-2 record with a 2.63 goals-against-average and a .901 save percentage this season. The Blues already said that they'd give Jake Allen the start in Thursday's game against Minnesota, but that may change after Hutton's performance tonight.
Jan 24 - 10:37 PM

Carter Hutton will get the call for Tuesday's game versus Pittsburgh.

Pheonix Copley is slated to back him up. The Blues plan to start Jake Allen versus Minnesota on Thursday. Copley will serve as the understudy for that game as well. Adjust your goaltending accordingly.
Jan 23 - 1:51 PM

Carter Hutton allowed five goals on 23 shots in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to Ottawa.

The last Senators goal was put into an empty net. The Blues have a serious dilemma between the pipes, as Hutton and Jake Allen have had issues with consistency this season. Hutton has a 6-6-2 record with a 2.70 goals-against-average and a .898 save percentage. Don't be surprised if St. Louis goes back to Allen in their next game.
Jan 17 - 11:13 PM

St. Louis will stick with Carter Hutton between the pipes when the team hosts Ottawa on Tuesday night.

He was in the starter's net during the morning skate and was the first goalie off the ice, so he will make his third straight start. Hutton started back-to-back games over the weekend and stopped 55 of 56 shots in a pair of wins over San Jose and Anaheim.

Jan 16 - 12:17 AM

Carter Hutton will be in net against the Ducks on Sunday.

Hutton has been a bit better over his last five outings. He's gone 2-1 with a shutout and seven goals against. With the Blues rested and the Ducks playing last night, this could be another good one for him.
Jan 15 - 12:18 PM

Carter Hutton shut out the San Jose Sharks on Saturday as the St. Louis Blues won 4-0.

St. Louis made it fairly easy for its backup, only asking him to turn aside 23 SOG for the shutout, his second with the Blues. It's the fifth of his increasingly respectable career as an NHL backup.
Jan 15 - 1:36 AM

Carter Hutton gets the Sharks on Saturday.

Jan 14 - 11:59 AM

Carter Hutton allowed one goal on 27 shots in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Bruins.

Hutton entered the game at the start of the second period because starter Jake Allen was given the hook. Even though he was handed the loss, Hutton played pretty well in this game. He has a 4-5-2 record with a 2.85 goals-against-average and a .896 save percentage in 2016-17.
