Carter Hutton (lower body) will not dress in Thursday's game against the Dallas Stars.

Hutton is considered day-to-day at this point. The Blues have recalled Ville Husso from the minors.
Dec 7 - 6:57 PM

Carter Hutton was pulled in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Los Angeles Kings.

Hutton gave up three goals on 21 shots through two periods before being stapled to the bench at the start of the third frame. The Blues backup goalie now owns a 4-2-0 record with a 1.90 goals-against-average and a .937 save percentage this season. After winning his first four decisions, Hutton has now lost two games in a row.
Dec 1 - 11:17 PM

It looks like Carter Hutton will be the Blues' starter on Friday.

Hutton was the first goaltender off the ice following the morning skate, which is usually a good indication of who the starter will be. He has a 4-1-0 record, 1.59 GAA, and .946 save percentage in six contests this season.
Dec 1 - 3:50 PM

Carter Hutton allowed one goal on 27 shots in Friday's 2-0 loss to the Nashville Predators.

Hutton gave up the first goal of the game less than three minutes into the opening period, but he managed to keep the Predators off the board the rest of the way (their second goal was an empty-netter). This was his first loss of the 2017-18 season. Hutton now owns a 4-1-0 record with a 1.59 goals-against-average and a .946 save percentage this season.
Nov 25 - 12:11 AM

Carter Hutton will be in net for the Blues on Friday against Nashville.

Hutton has made the most of his limited playing time this season by posting a 4-0-0 record, 1.71 GAA, and .943 save percentage in five contests. St. Louis is facing his former team, the Nashville Predators, so this was as good a time as any to get Hutton a start. "This was targeted," Blues coach Mike Yeo said. "The back-to-back nights, a team he's familiar with – a player always has some extra motivation playing against a former team. We've got to factor in what's best for Jake, maybe an extra day between games for Jake and he can come back and play against Minnesota, a team he's had strong performances against. That was our thought process here."
Nov 24 - 2:09 PM

Carter Hutton stopped 27 of 29 shots in Thursday's 3-2 shootout win over the Arizona Coyotes.

The Blues were trailing 2-1 heading into the third period, but they managed to force overtime thanks to Alex Pietrangelo's game-tying goal. In the shootout, Hutton stopped both Clayton Keller and Derek Stepan to help lead his team to victory. The Blues' backup goalie now has a perfect 4-0-0 record with a 1.72 goals-against-average and a .946 save percentage this season.
Nov 10 - 12:11 AM

Carter Hutton will be between the pipes Thursday versus Arizona.

This will be a rare home start for Hutton, who has made 11 of his past 12 starts on the road going back to January. He has a 3-0-0 record with a 1.67 goals-against average and a .950 save percentage this season.
Nov 9 - 4:34 PM

Carter Hutton will miss Saturday's game against Columbus for personal reasons.

Hutton, who made 26 saves in a 2-1 win over Carolina on Friday, was likely going to serve as the backup goalie anyway. The Blues have recalled Ville Husso from the minors to take Hutton's spot in the lineup.
Oct 28 - 11:40 AM

Carter Hutton allowed one goal on 27 shots in Friday's 2-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes.

Hutton has made three appearances for the Blues this season and he's won all three of them. He's also allowed one goal in two of those three contests. The Blues backup goalie will enter his next appearance with a 1.67 goals-against-average and a .951 save percentage. He'll continue to serve as Jake Allen's backup, which means his fantasy value is pretty much non-existent.
Oct 27 - 11:40 PM

Carter Hutton will play between the pipes Friday night.

Hutton has a 2.00 GAA and .946 save percentage in two starts this season. He'll be up against the Carolina Hurricanes, which might be worn out as this is their third game in four days.
Oct 27 - 12:55 PM

Carter Hutton stopped 38 of 41 shots faced as the St. Louis Blues defeated the Colorado Avalanche 4-3 on Thursday night.

Hutton let in a pair of strange goals in the third period but otherwise looked solid to earn his second win of the season. He was bowled over by his own defenseman on Blake Comeau's goal and was a victim of a terribly unlucky bounce on Alexander Kerfoot's second of the game. Hutton improves to 2-0-0 with a 2.00 goals-against average and a .946 save percentage. Despite his performance so far this season, his fantasy value is limited as he remains the backup to Jake Allen.
Oct 20 - 12:21 AM

Carter Hutton will get the start in Thursday's game against the Colorado Avalanche.

Jake Allen got the start against Chicago last night, which is why Hutton is starting tonight. Hutton has a 1-0-0 record with a 1.00 goals-against-average and a .970 save percentage this season.
Oct 19 - 8:46 PM

Carter Hutton turned aside 32 of 33 shots in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the New York Rangers.

He looked good in his first start of the season. The only goal Hutton allowed was a power play marker by Mika Zibanejad in the first period. He's a good backup goaltender, but he won't have any value in fantasy leagues. He'll enter his next game with a 1.00 goals-against-average and a .970 save percentage.
Oct 10 - 9:58 PM

Carter Hutton will be between the pipes Tuesday against the New York Rangers.

Coach Mike Yeo will give Jake Allen a rest after he made 40 saves in a 3-2 shootout win over the Islanders on Monday. Hutton had a 13-8-2 record with a 2.39 GAA, a .913 save percentage and four shutouts in 30 contests with the Blues last year.
