Brayden Irwin will play in Saturday's game against Boston.
Irwin made his NHL debut on Thursday after the Leafs signed him out of the University of Vermont. "I thought he played really well (Thursday against Buffalo)," coach Ron Wilson said. "He had a great chance in the third period and Tyler Myers made a great recovery play to get his stick on a puck that was going into an empty net. He didn’t look out of place at all." Wilson hasn't garuanteed him any playing time beyond Saturday's game, but it looks like he'll be able to compete for a spot on the Leafs' 2010-11 opening day roster. Fri, Apr 2, 2010 02:48:00 PM
