Mar 26 - 12:10 PM

After going over two months between starts earlier this season, Michael Hutchinson admits he has a chip on his shoulder.

The Jets goalie has used that as a source of motivation. He's started three of Winnipeg's last four games and he has two wins to show for it. "When you sit out that many games, it kind of puts a little bit of a chip on your shoulder," said Hutchinson. "It's a little bit of added motivation right there to go out and show I can play. Other than that, it's been (about) staying confident in my abilities." He has a 6-12-3 record with a 3.06 goals-against-average and a .900 save percentage.
Mar 25 - 9:42 AM

Michael Hutchinson stopped 32 of 34 shots in a 3-1 loss to the Anaheim Ducks on Friday night.

After a very long layoff in goal which saw Hutchinson play less than 55 minutes in two months, it is very encouraging to see him regain NHL caliber form in goal for the Jets. The Jets will most likely choose to protect Connor Helleybuyck from the Vegas expansion, leaving Hutchinson exposed. If Hutchinson can show he can still be a quality NHL starter in the final games of the season, he might just be snatched up by the Golden Knights. For now we'd stay far away from the 27-year-old netminder. His record dropped to 6-12-3 with a 3.06 goals against average and a .900 save percentage.
Mar 25 - 2:02 AM

Mar 24 - 9:31 PM

Michael Hutchinson stopped 24 of 26 shots in a 3-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday.

It marks Hutchinson's first start since January 16th. His best save of the night came when he robbed Simmonds with a beautiful glove save. He showed no signs of rust and his confident goaltending will likely earn him another couple of starts before the end of the season. He has won back-to-back games, improving his record to 6-11-3 with a 3.11 goals against average and .897 save percentage.
Mar 21 - 11:07 PM

Michael Hutchinson will be in goal for the Jets on Tuesday night against Philadelphia.

Mar 19 - 10:41 PM

Michael Hutchinson will be a healthy scratch in Tuesday's game against the Blues.

The Jets will roll with Ondrej Pavelec as their starter and Connor Hellebuyck as the backup. Julian Melchiori will also watch the game from the press box. Neither player will be a fantasy asset going forward.

Jan 31 - 8:00 PM

Michael Hutchinson will be a healthy scratch in Tuesday's game against the San Jose Sharks.

Now that Ondrej Pavelec is up with the big club, there's no room left for Hutchinson. Julian Melchiori is also expected to be scratched against the Sharks. He has no points and a minus-3 rating in four games.
Jan 24 - 7:43 PM

To make room for newly recalled Ondrej Pavelec, Michael Hutchinson will sit out as the third goaltender.

Brandon Tanev and Julian Melchiori will be scratched along with the netminder who made 27 saves in a 5-2 loss the last time he was between the pipes. Pavelec is a desperate measure to change the look of the Jets crease before a playoff spot gets too far ahead of them.
Jan 18 - 7:29 PM

Michael Hutchinson kicked out 27 of 31 shots in Winnipeg's 5-2 loss to San Jose Monday afternoon.
