Steven Kampfer has cleared waivers and he appears to be staying the Panthers for now.

"I just want to play," said Kampfer, who has been scratched for 11 of Florida's 12 games this season. Jussi Jokinen could be coming off IR for Thursday, so Kampfer could be sent down at some point to free up the roster spot.
