"I’m still pretty young and regardless of who’s here, I look forward to becoming an even better player, a more rounded player and a more rounded person. I think all of us young guys relish at being better at leading teams, being better in the last five minutes and doing those things that leaders do." But he's been a really good addition for us ... and the kid can really skate. He really brings what we're looking for which is an uptempo style, and he's great in the locker-room." If he starts to capitalize on those chances then there's a chance that he could skate in the Oilers' top-six group. However, he is probably better suited for a third-line role. He makes $5 million for one more year. Would the Oilers pick up half of that to trade him, 50-50 (with another team)? That would still free up $2.5 million in cap space for the Oilers.
