Marc Cheverie is projected to start the 2010-11 season with Double A Cincinnati.

The Florida Panthers have a logjam of goaltenders on their team that rest higher than Cheverie on the depth chart; veterans Tomas Vokoun and Scott Clemmensen are on the NHL roster, while prospects Jacob Markstrom and Tyler Plante will likely be the tandem for Florida's AHL affiliate in Rochester. Alexander Salak was permitted to play in Europe this season just to get some quality starts. "I just want to go to a place where I can play and compete with good teammates," said the former University of Denver goalie, Cheverie. "I don't care if it's Rochester, the ECHL, Florida, the central league, the southern freshman league, whatever. I'm going to go to work every day trying to get better. I don't think being sent down is a reflection of me. It's a numbers thing."
