Eric Selleck has caught the eye of Florida coach Kevin Dineen for being more than just a fighter at training camp.

"You just can't be a tough guy," said Selleck, who was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2010. "You've got to be able to skate and play the game. I think I can do that. I know, obviously, they're looking for some toughness here. I was a tough guy last year, so I'm going to continue my role and just see how far I can go." He amassed 214 penalty minutes and 16 points in 67 games with AHL Rochester last season. Selleck should be viewed as a long shot to make the Panthers out of camp, but he could earn a callup during the year if the team is lacking toughness.
