Ben Scrivens turned aside 37 of 39 shots in 4-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Don't look now, but the Montreal Canadiens seem to be heating up. After going 0-4, Scrivens has strung together a neat little three game win streak. He was particularly busy against Tampa Bay and did extremely well against a potent offense. Scrivens brings his record on the season to 3-4-0 to go along with a 2.72 goals-against-average and a .912 save percentage. Feb 10 - 12:09 AM

The Canadiens will stick with Ben Scrivens in goal when they play against Tampa Bay on Tuesday night.

He had four straight losses to begin his tour of duty with Montreal, but he has won his last two while playing well against Edmonton and Carolina. The Lightning will be a much tougher task, especially after losing 5-1 to Ottawa on Monday.
Feb 9 - 10:44 AM

Ben Scrivens swept the weekend with a 2-1 shootout win over Carolina on Sunday.

Scrivens turned away 34 of 35 shots faced, including all seven on special teams. For the weekend he stopped 57 of 59 shots in the wins over Carolina and Edmonton. Mighty impressive for the veteran netminder trying to reestablish himself in the NHL.
Feb 7 - 6:04 PM

Ben Scrivens will face Carolina on Sunday afternoon.

Scrivens is being rewarded for shutting down the Oilers on Sunday as he turned away 23 of 24 shots in the 5-1 victory. In six career starts without rest, Scrivens is 1-3-2 with 21 goals against and a paltry .865 save percentage. Considering yesterday was his first good start with Montreal, we'd hedge our bets if you have other options.
Feb 7 - 12:10 PM

Ben Scrivens turned aside 23 of 24 shots in a 5-1 win over the Oilers.

Scrivens played his best game as a Hab against his former team. He improved his record to 1-4-0 but is still averaging 3.26 goals against per game. We would stay clear of the veteran netminder.
Feb 6 - 4:54 PM

Ben Scrivens is expected to get the nod against Edmonton on Saturday.

It will be an opportunity for Scrivens to play against the team that traded him in late December. He has a 3.85 GAA and .873 save percentage in four starts this season.
Feb 5 - 12:39 PM

Ben Scrivens allowed four goals on 25 shots in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Canadiens are falling apart before our eyes. They have just five wins in their last 24 contests after starting the year 9-0. Scrivens now falls to 0-4 since being acquired from the Edmonton Oilers. The 29-year-old has a 3.85 goals-against-average and a .873 save percentage this season. Scrivens will go back to being the Canadiens' backup goaltender after the All-Star break.
Jan 26 - 11:18 PM

Ben Scrivens will be between the pipes for Montreal on Tuesday night against Columbus.

Mike Condon permitted four goals on 24 shots in a 5-2 loss to the Blue Jackets on Monday, so Scrivens will get the nod in the second game of the back-to-back set. He has a 0-3-0 record with the Canadiens to go with an .882 save percentage and a 3.77 goals-against average.
Jan 26 - 12:44 PM

Ben Scrivens allowed four goals on 32 shots in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks.

Scrivens was a little unlucky in this one as both of Jonathan Toews' goals were controversial. Toews appeared to be offside on his first goal, and the referees misssed an icing call moments before he beat Scrivens a second time. Scrivens has an 0-3-0 record with a 3.77 goals-against-average and a .882 save percentage since joining the Canadiens. He's played better than his numbers would indicate.
Jan 17 - 10:39 PM

Ben Scrivens will face Chicago on Sunday night.

Scrivens has turned away 54 of 61 combined shots sent his way through his first two starts with Montreal, and those matches were against Philadelphia and and Florida. Not terrible, but not inspiring either. For his career Scrivens is 1-2-1 with 11 goals against versus Chicago as well. Yikes.
Jan 17 - 4:33 PM

There is a strong possibility that Ben Scrivens could get the start Sunday against Chicago.

The Habs play Saturday against St. Louis and Mike Condon will be in the cage. Montreal coach Michel Therrien could opt to start Scrivens in the second game of those back-to-back contests.
Jan 16 - 10:19 AM

Ben Scrivens stopped 27 of 31 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers.

The numbers might not be pretty, but Scrivens actually played well tonight. The 29-year-old's record falls to 0-2-0 this season. He has a 3.62 goals-against-average and a .885 save percentage, but he's been solid in his first two games with the Canadiens.
Jan 5 - 10:56 PM

Ben Scrivens will get the call for Tuesday's game against Philadelphia.

He permitted three goals on 29 shots in a 3-1 loss to Florida in his first start with the Canadiens last Tuesday.
Jan 4 - 3:11 PM

Ben Scrivens stopped 26 of 29 shots in a 3-1 loss to the Panthers on Tuesday night.

Scrivens provided solid goaltending for the Habs in his debut, but didn't receive much help from his team offensively. He could be an interesting flyer pickup if the Canadiens figure out how to score again. The Canadiens next game is the Winter Classic in Boston against the Bruins on New Year's day.
