Montreal goalie Ben Scrivens enjoyed a first-rate game Wednesday night in the Canadiens' 3-2 overtime victory over the Sabres in Buffalo.
Scrivens turned away 41 of the 43 shots the Sabres fired at him in regulation and OT. Scrivens, who has played in only three of the Habs' past 11 games, improved his numbers in this one, reducing his goals-against average from 3.00 to 2.90 and increasing his save percentage from .902 to .908. Still, don't use Scrivens for any fantasy play this season, not even if you're desperate for one-night action. He may get more starts now but he's inconsistent, at best, and the Canadiens have not been nearly as successful this season as they should have been. They miss their superstar goalie, Carey Price, who, if you've been on Mars in 2015-16, has been out most of the season with a leg injury.
