The Colorado Avalanche acquired Cody Goloubef from the Columbus Blue Jackets for Ryan Stanton.

This trade has no fantasy implications. It's just a swap of minor league defensemen. Goloubef played 43 games with the Blue Jackets last season, but he still hasn't suited up in a game in 2016-17. He's been with the Cleveland Monsters of the AHL all season, where he's put up two goals and seven points in 16 games. The Avs have already announced that he'll remain in the minors for now.
Nov 28 - 9:07 PM

Cody Goloubef went unclaimed on waivers.

That clears the path for the Blue Jackets to send him to AHL Cleveland. Goloubef missed the start of 2016-17 due to an oblique strain.
Oct 21 - 1:12 PM

Cody Goloubef has been placed on waivers by the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Goloubef was unavailable at the start of the campaign due to an oblique strain. Given that he's on waivers, it's fair to assume he's over that, but will start his campaign in the minors.
Oct 20 - 2:04 PM

Cody Goloubef, who has been sidelined with an oblique strain, skated at practice on Tuesday.

He had been skating by himself recently. Goloubef was injured back on Sept. 26 in a preseason game in Boston. He is listed as day-to-day, but remains on injured reserve.
Oct 18 - 5:30 PM

Cody Goloubef is unlikely to start the season as he has been out a week with an undisclosed injury.

Just an FYI. He has no fantasy value.
Oct 10 - 7:55 AM

Cody Goloubef is dealing with an undisclosed injury.

Goloubef won't be available for Tuesday or Thursday's preseason games as a result. His status for the Blue Jackets' final exhibition contest on Saturday remains up in the air.
Oct 4 - 5:11 AM

Cody Goloubef (oblique) did not practice with the Blue Jackets on Tuesday.

Goloubef also will not play Wednesday when the team battles the Maple Leafs. He suffered the injury during Monday's game against the Rangers. In 43 games this season, the 26 year-old has one goal and eight points.
Apr 6 - 8:58 AM

Cody Goloubef left Monday's game against the New York Islanders because of an oblique injury.

The 26-year-old won't be returning to the game. He's considered day-to-day at this point. Goloubef has one goal and eight points in 42 games this season.
Apr 4 - 7:49 PM

Cody Goloubef could return to the Columbus lineup Saturday.

Goloubef has been a healthy scratch in each of the last six games but with the injury to Jack Johnson, someone has to fill the void with David Savard on the blueline and Goloubef could get the start. He has a goal and eight points in 27 games this season so his fantasy value is negligible.
Feb 27 - 6:24 AM

Cody Goloubef, Justin Falk, and Jared Boll will each be scratched against the Red Wings on Tuesday.

As has been the case for a while now, these three appear to not have much of a role with the Blue Jackets. The 26-year-old Goloubef has one goal and eight points in 27 games this season.
Feb 23 - 6:26 PM

Cody Goloubef will be a healthy scratch in Monday's game against the Boston Bruins.

The 26-year-old has one goal and eight points in 27 games this season. Joining him in the press box is Justin Falk.
Feb 22 - 6:54 PM

Cody Goloubef and Justin Falk will each be scratched against the Sabres on Friday.

There simply isn't a lick of fantasy value to speak of here as the two defenders have combined for 12 points and 35 PIMs in 47 games.

Cody Goloubef and Justin Falk will each be scratched against the Bruins on Tuesday.

Unfortunately both defenders are a bit allergic to the stat sheet, with 12 combined points and 35 PIMs in 47 games.

Feb 16 - 6:49 PM

Cody Goloubef will get back into the lineup on Tuesday.

He was a healthy scratch for Monday's game against Montreal, but he'll get to play against the Canadiens on Tuesday night. Fedor Tyutin will be scratched to make room for him.
