Steven Delisle missed Wednesday's prospects game because of a shoulder injury.

Delisle sustained the injury during a fight on Saturday. The severity of the injury is still not known, but obviously this is an inopportune time for a youngster to be sidelined. Delisle signed a three-year, entry-level contract in May.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed Steven Delisle to a three-year/entry level contract.

Delisle is a six-foot, six-inch blueliner who was drafted in the fourth round, 107th overall, in the 2008 Entry Draft. "We've added another to our mix of young defensemen turning pro," GM Scott Howson said. "It's going to create a lot of competition for jobs, at the NHL level and the AHL level." Expect Delisle to spend a year or more in the minors honing his craft. He had five goals and 29 points in the QMJHL in a season split between Gatineau and Rouyn-Noranda.
