Andrew Desjardins will be scratched in Game 3 against the Blues on Sunday.

His last shift was during the second period of Game 2, so it's no surprise that he'll be missing Game 3. A veteran of 49 career playoff games, Desjardins has posted eight points, 47 PIMs, and 94 hit in that time.
Apr 17 - 3:01 PM

Andrew Desjardins netted his eighth goal of season during Tuesday's 6-2 win over Arizona.

Desjardins is now up to 13 points thus far, sitting just four shy of his twice-reached career high of 17 points.

After Marian Hossa was injured in Saturday's game against Anaheim, Andrew Desjardins replaced him on the top line.

Desjardins took advantage of his opportunity, as he helped set up Brent Seabrook's third period goal. It's unclear how long Hossa will be out. Even if he's gone for a while, there's no guarantee that Desjardins will continue skating on the top line. Don't rush to add him from the waiver wire just yet.
Feb 14 - 11:21 AM

Andrew Desjardins now has four goals this season.

Desjardins doesn't hit the score board much, this being just the fourth time all season. That's right, he has no assists either. Unfortunately given that he doesn't hit or take as many penalties as he did with San Jose, he doesn't have much fantasy value.

Andrew Desjardins had a pair of goals against Arizona on Tuesday night.

He made it 6-2 at the 5:04 mark of the third period and that turned out to be the game winner after the Coyotes rallied. The final score was 7-5 in favor of the Blackhawks. Desjardins has three points in 33 games this year.

Andrew Desjardins is a healthy scratch in Thursday's game against Ottawa.

David Rundblad and Viktor Tikhonov will also be scratched. This trio was also scratched in Chicago's last game against Minnesota. None of these three players have any fantasy value going forward.

Andrew Desjardins, David Rundblad, and Viktor Tikhonov will be scratched from Tuesday's match with Minnesota.

Through 21 games thus far Desjardins has a goal, four PIMs, and 23 hits on the season. Which should suggest that he's no longer the supplier of tough guy stats as he was with San Jose.

Andrew Desjardins will slot on the third line in Friday's tilt with Calgary.

If you're in a reverse league, Desjardins returning to the lineup may sound exciting but we wouldn't advise getting your hopes up. Despite his reputations has a gnarly player, he's been well behaved since joining Chicago. Through 29 games he has but nine PIMs (one fight) and 52 hits. Quite the change from his San Jose days.

David Rundblad, Andrew Desjardins and Viktor Tikhonov will once again sit against the Edmonton Oilers Wednesday night.

Desjardins will sit for his third straight. Viktor Tikhonov will sits his fourth while Rundblad's scratch will be his ninth straight, pushing for a double-digit streak in the press box.

Andrew Desjardins, Viktor Tikhonov and David Rundblad will each be scratched from Sunday's tilt with Calgary.

Unfortunately there's little to know fantasy value spread among this trio. If you're hoping for Desjardins to revert back to his brutish ways, don't. He has but 52 hits and nine PIMs in 29 games since joining Chicago.

Andrew Desjardins is a healthy scratch on Saturday.

Desjardins has no points and a minus-eight rating in 16 games this season. He's traditionally at least been an okay source of PIM, but so far he has just two.

Andrew Desjardins has inked a two-year, $1.6 million contract with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Desjardins had 10 points and 57 penalty minutes in 69 games with San Jose and Chicago in 2014-15. That's pretty good value for Desjardins and a sign that he was willing to take less money in order to stick with the Blackhawks despite their cap situation.

The Chicago Blackhawks are interested in re-signing Andrew Desjardins.

The Blackhawks acquired Desjardins from the Sharks in March in exchange for Ben Smith and a conditional seventh round selection. He's eligible to become an unrestricted free agent and Chicago has some cap issues this summer, so re-signing him might be a bit tricky. That being said, the bottom-six forward likely won't be too expensive.

Andrew Desjardins is celebrating his first Stanley Cup championship.

Chicago picked up Desjardins from San Jose in March in exchange for Ben Smith and a conditional seventh round pick. Desjardins went on to score a goal and four points in 21 playoff contests. He also averaged 13:55 minutes per game. "The amount of work that’s put in to getting to this is just hard to imagine," said Desjardins. "When you've never done it, you don't even understand how much work it is to get here. It feels amazing right now." He's eligible to become an unrestricted free agent this summer and he might end up walking given Chicago's difficult cap situation.
