Sami Vatanen scored and added an assist in a 4-2 loss to Arizona on Wednesday.
Vatanen was easily the best player on the ice for a Ducks team that was mainly outplayed for most of this game. The talented blue-liner now has five goals and 13 points in 23 games. Ryan Kesler scored the other goal for the Ducks in a losing cause. Nov 26 - 12:31 AM

Sami Vatanen scored midway through the third period to force overtime against the Arizona Coyotes on Monday night.

Sami Vatanen's third goal of the season came as the result of a great individual rush and entry into the Coyotes zone. The play was capped off by a nice give-and-go with Andrew Cogliano, who's return pass Vatanen redirected past Arizona goalie Anders Lindback, tying the game 3-3. It was Vatanen's second point of the night, having already assisted on Ryan Kesler's first period marker. Vatanen has four points (two goals and two assists) in his past five games.

Sami Vatanen had a goal and an assist in Anaheim's 4-2 win against Nashville on Sunday.

Vatanen had recorded just one point prior to that contest. With three points in 11 games, he certainly hasn't lived up to his 2014-15 37-point showing, but until now Anaheim's offense had been pretty much dead. If the Ducks have finally snapped out of their team-wide offensive slump, then Vatanen should start making up ground.
