We'd expect Sami Vatanen (lower body) to return to action on Friday against the Panthers.

His workload in practice has been ramping up of late, and has missed nearly two weeks of action. Nothing official just yet, but we'd hedge our bets on him playing tonight.

Sami Vatanen (lower body) worked out off the ice on Wednesday.

Vatanen sustained the injury on Friday and he hasn't skated since that date. Ducks coach Randy Carlyle doesn't believe that this is a long-term injury, but Vatanen shouldn't be expected to play Thursday and it would be somewhat surprising if he returned Saturday.
