Taylor Hall (leg) is expected to miss the next six weeks.
At this point, any setback could end Hall's season, especially seeing as Edmonton has nothing left to play for in 2014-15. He has 11 goals and 30 points in 42 contests in 2014-15. That's certainly a big step down from his 80-point campaign in 2013-14, but we wouldn't get too discouraged. He's a great bounce back candidate for 2014-15. In the meantime, this is an opportunity for Teddy Purcell to play on the top line. Feb 10 - 12:40 PM

Taylor Hall (ankle) has been placed on the injured reserve list.

Hall was sent back to Edmonton for further testing and this move can be retroactive Feb. 2, so the Oilers made the logical decision here. We haven't heard what the results of those tests are yet.
Feb 10 - 12:16 PM

Taylor Hall has returned to Edmonton to undergo further testing on his injured ankle.

Hall suffered the injury in Monday's game against the San Jose Sharks. The Oilers began a six-game road trip on Saturday night in Toronto. It's unclear if Hall will be able to rejoin his teammates at some point on the trip. The 23-year-old has a disappointing 11 goals and 30 points in 42 games this season.
Feb 8 - 12:40 PM

The Edmonton Oilers will be without Taylor Hall (leg) once again as they face the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday.

It's unclear how much more time the young forward will miss, as injuries seem to be an annual headache for Hall. He has 30 points in 42 games on a somewhat slow season for the 23-year-old.
Feb 7 - 1:44 PM

Taylor Hall will be sidelined for Wednesday’s tilt against the Penguins due to a leg injury.

After missing three straight games, Hall attempted to come back for Monday’s game versus the Sharks but re-aggravated his leg injury and is now out for Wednesday’s game. Hall hasn’t lived up to the expectations many thought he would attain this year, but still has tremendous upside once he gets back on the ice. He has 11 goals and 19 assists in 42 games played in the 2014-2015 season. Iiro Pakarinen was called up to replace Hall and will play on the Oilers top line Wednesday night with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Jordan Eberle.
Feb 4 - 5:32 PM

After Monday's contest, Oilers coach Todd Nelson clarified that Taylor Hall re-aggravated his leg injury.

Hall attempted to return from the ailment after missing three straight games. Nelson described the decision to shut Hall down for the night as precautionary, so we'll take that to mean that Hall should be regarded as day-to-day for now.
Feb 3 - 1:52 AM

Taylor Hall suffered a foot injury during Monday's game against San Jose.

Hall will miss the remainder of the contest as a result. Hall just returned from a leg injury too, which has to make this all the more frustrating for him. He has 11 goals and 29 points in 41 contests.
Feb 3 - 12:52 AM

Taylor Hall will return to the lineup Monday night versus the San Jose Sharks.

Hall skated in warmups and is well enough to suit up Monday against the Sharks after missing the team's previous three games. It's been a disappointing year for the 23-year-old as many thought the 2014-2015 season was going to be his breakout season. He has 11 goals and 29 points in 41 games, which isn't horrible, but a minus 11 rating has hurt his fantasy value. He will play alongside Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Jordan Eberle.
Feb 2 - 10:26 PM

Taylor Hall (leg) is being listed as a game-time decision for Monday's game against San Jose.

He took part in the morning skate, but he didn't appear to have a line during the session. Hall has missed the last three games with bone bruise on his leg.
Feb 2 - 4:08 PM

Taylor Hall will not play against the Calgary Flames on Saturday night.

It'll be his third straight game in the stands. Hall had this to say after this morning's skate, "It was nice to be out there with the guys again and positive to be able to put a skate on and start moving again. Hopefully I can get a good practice in tomorrow and get ready for San Jose (on Monday) but nothing for sure." He leads the team in assists (18) co-leads the team in points (29).
Jan 31 - 8:41 PM

Taylor Hall (leg) traveled with the Oilers to Calgary and will be a game-time decision on Saturday.

Hall suffered a bone bruise during practice on Monday and has yet to return to action since the All-Star break. He has 11 goals and 29 points in 41 games this season but is capable of so much more.
Jan 31 - 8:11 AM

Taylor Hall (leg) won't be in the lineup on Thursday against Buffalo.

"He's still day-to-day and going under treatment," coach Todd Nelson said. "I don't have any answer on when he'll be back. We just take it every day and see if he's getting better." Hall didn't take part in the morning skate and he didn't practice on Wednesday either after missing Tuesday's game with a bone bruise.
Jan 29 - 2:02 PM

Taylor Hall's leg injury is a bone bruise.

Hall took a shot off his leg during Monday's practice and missed Tuesday's game as a result. He's day-to-day and questionable for Thursday's contest. If he can play, then Benoit Pouliot will likely slide off the first line.
Jan 28 - 3:42 PM

Taylor Hall is not expected to play on Tuesday due to a leg injury.

Hall took a shot to the leg during Monday's practice. He'll undergo further testing to determine the severity of the injury. He has 11 goals and 29 points in 41 contests in 2014-15. Look for Benoit Pouliot to temporarily assume Hall's place on Edmonton's first line.
Jan 27 - 2:01 PM

Taylor Hall has just four goals in his last 28 contests.

"Disregarding that empty-net goal against Chicago I think it's two in my last 24," Hall said. "I've never really had a stretch like this so far in my career. I've had some games where I played well, but overall I'm not where I want to be as a player. I have to get back on track." The silver lining is that he has been setting up a lot of markers lately. In fact he has 11 points in his last 13 contests despite his lack of goals. At the same time, with 29 points in 40 contests, this has the potential to be the worst season of his career from a points per game perspective.
