Taylor Hall helped Canada beat the Czech Republic 2-0 in the 2015 World Championships semifinal on Saturday.
He finished a nice play assisted by Jordan Eberle and Sidney Crosby, a goal which stood as the game-winner. Hall has to hope these kind of results will become more common for his Edmonton Oilers. May 16 - 4:13 PM

Taylor Hall and Jordan Eberle are enjoying working with coach Todd McLellan during the 2015 World Championships.

All three are members of Team Canada. "He's been great," said Hall. "He pushed all the right buttons. ... We have a lot of respect for him and I think that’s really shining through." McLellan mutually agreed to part ways with the Sharks after the 2014-15 campaign and is now regarded as a candidate to take over as Edmonton's bench boss. If that happens he'll already have some experience working with Hall and Eberle.

Taylor Hall generated a goal and an assist in Canada's 6-4 comeback win over Sweden on Wednesday

Hall scored on a penalty shot to help Canada rally from a 3-0 deficit after the first period. Aaron Ekblad had a goal and a helper as well, while Ryan O'Reilly picked up a pair of assists. Tyler Ennis recorded the game winner on a late power play and Tyler Seguin sealed the contest with an empty-net marker.

Taylor Hall scored a hat trick in Team Canada's 10-0 win over Germany at the World Hockey Championships on Sunday.

Canada dominated this game from beginning to end. After a difficult year in Edmonton, it's nice to see Hall healthy and playing well again. Cody Eakin (twice), Aaron Ekblad, Claude Giroux, Tyler Ennis, Sidney Crosby and Matt Duchene also found the back of the net for Canada.
May 3 - 1:13 PM

Taylor Hall is upbeat about the Edmonton Oilers' recent changes.

"The past couple summers it's taken me to July or August to really get the optimism going. After a couple tough seasons, that's usually what it takes," said Hall. "But I feel that now. I'm excited. And it's such a nice feeling." Between the Oilers winning the draft lottery and with it first dibs at Connor McDavid, Bob Nicholson being named the team's CEO, and Peter Chiarelli taking over as the president and general manager, there are plenty of reasons for the Oilers to be upbeat. It's still far too early to say if they're likely to end their playoff drought next season, but there's certainly been a lot of positive moves for them lately.
Apr 27 - 6:47 AM

Taylor Hall is serving as a center while Ryan Nugent-Hopkins deals with a lower-body injury.

Hall played up the middle on a line with Benoit Pouliot and Jordan Eberle on Saturday and it looks like he'll be back in that role on Tuesday. "I enjoyed it last game, it would have been nice to get some production," Hall said. "But I felt more comfortable there then I had in the past when they played me there. I just tried to just play. I've played shifts during games at center and I just tried to treat it like that. I thought I did OK, but I need to keep improving there for sure." Hall has 13 goals and 36 points in 50 contests in 2014-15.
Apr 7 - 9:31 AM

Taylor Hall registered an assist in an 8-2 loss to Los Angeles on Thursday.

Hall has only been held off the scoresheet once in his last eight games. He has 13 goals and 36 points in 49 contests in 2014-15. It's been a disappointing campaign for him, but he should bounce back in 2015-16 if he can stay healthy.
Apr 3 - 10:49 AM

Taylor Hall has played well on the third line since returning a week ago.

There is no doubt that Hall is the Oilers best player but he has certainly fit in nicely alongside Andrew Miller and Anton Lander to give the Oilers another line that opponents have to worry about. Hall has had a tough season as he was expected to be a top-ten scorer in the NHL but do not forget about him next season as he can certainly score. Hall has 12 goals and 34 points in 46 games this season after an 80 point season in 75 games last year.
Mar 29 - 8:47 AM

Taylor Hall was one of the Edmonton Oilers' goal scorers in a 4-3 victory over the visiting Colorado Avalanche Wednesday night.

It was Hall's first goal since he returned from a leg injury last Sunday. Hall, who had 16:24 of ice time, popped in his 12th goal of the season at 9:24 of the first period, giving the Oilers a quick 3-0 lead. Martin Marincin and Jordan Eberle scored Edmonton's first two goals, their first and 21st of the season, respectively. After the Avalanche tied the game 3-3, Derek Roy scored the Oilers' winning goal at 10:42 of the third period. It was Roy's 11th goal of the season. Three Edmonton players had two assists each -- Anton Lander, Andrew Martin and Benoit Pouliot.
Mar 25 - 11:06 PM

Taylor Hall had an assist in Edmonton's 4-1 loss to Winnipeg on Monday.

It was Hall's second game since recovering from a leg injury. He logged 18:52 minutes on Monday compared to just 16:14 in his return to the lineup.
Mar 24 - 11:02 AM

Taylor Hall had an assist in his return from a leg injury on Saturday.

It was Hall's first game since Feb. 2. He was eased into the lineup somewhat by limiting him to 16:14 minutes of ice time. Look for him to get back to playing around 20 minutes per game in the near future.
Mar 22 - 9:34 AM

Taylor Hall will return to the Oilers' lineup Saturday night but will be on the third line instead of Edmonton's first line.

Against the Flyers in Edmonton, Hall will play alongside Anton Lander and Andrew Miller, who was recalled from Oklahoma City of the AHL last Wednesday. Before injuring his leg and missing 23 of the Oilers' 24 games, Hall was a mainstay on the the team's first line with Jordan Eberle and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. "I think the thought process is that (Nail Yakupov) is playing so well with Derek (Roy) and Teddy (Purcell) on (the second line) and (Eberle and Nugent-Hopkins) are playing so well with Benoit (Pouliot)," Hall said. "So I'm not too big of a personality that I can fit in elsewhere." Despite missing 29 games this season, Hall is third on the Oilers' scoring list with 11 goals and 19 assists for 30 points.
Mar 21 - 5:57 PM

Good news: Taylor Hall said he's ready to play for the Edmonton Oilers against the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday.

It should be interesting to see if he skated with Jordan Eberle and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins or if Benoit Pouliot would remain with the top line. Hall produces when he can actually get on the ice, so stay tuned for updates.

Taylor Hall (leg) took part in Friday's practice.

Hall might be back on Saturday, but nothing has been decided yet. He has 11 goals and 30 points in 42 contests in 2014-15. His return might result in Benoit Pouliot losing his top line spot.
Mar 20 - 3:16 PM

Taylor Hall (leg) skated with teammates for the first time since early February on Monday.

"It's one of those things where I kind of have to wait to see how it reacts to being on the ice and everything, but today was a really good positive session," Hall said. "I'm certainly looking forward to playing soon." He obviously won't play Monday night and he has been out of the lineup since Feb. 2.
