Taylor Hall scored a goal with an assist and a plus-2 rating with a blocked shot and a hit over 13:46 of ice time in Wednesday's 8-3 win in Vegas.
Hall snapped a two-game scoreless streak which was his longest scoring drought since Dec. 29-30. His longest scoreless skid this season is just three games, so that tells you a little bit about how hot he has been this season. Hall has rolled up 31 goals with 76 points, coming within just four points of his previous career high set back in 2013-14 with the Edmonton Oilers. Mar 15 - 2:45 AM

Taylor Hall's record-breaking point streak came to an end on Thursday.

How long that point streak was requires a somewhat complicated answer. Officially, it was a 19-game point streak and that was the longest in Devils' history as well as the longest streak of the campaign. However, the NHL doesn't include anything that happened before Hall missed three games due to a thumb injury. If you want to look at his point streak another way, then he recorded at least a point in 26 consecutive contests that he appeared in. Either way, this is the first time in 2018 that Hall has been held off the scoresheet.

Taylor Hall picked up two assists in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Montreal Canadiens.

Hall registered the primary assists on power-play goals by Travis Zajac (4-0) and Patrick Maroon (5-1). The Devils forward extended his impressive point streak to 26 games in the process. He continues to amaze the hockey world. Hall is up to 30 goals and 74 points in 62 games this season. His former team, the Edmonton Oilers, could sure use him right now. Not only is the 26-year-old a must-start in all fantasy leagues, he's also firmly in the running for the Hart Trophy in 2017-18.
Mar 7 - 12:18 AM

Taylor Hall notched a goal and an assist in New Jersey's 3-2 loss to Vegas on Sunday evening, extending his point streak to 25 games.

Hall's torrid run has stretched back 25 games, in which he has 18 goals and 36 points. The NHL however, considers the streak to be 18 games since the 26-year-old missed three games due to injury. Nonetheless, Hall now has 30 goals and 72 points in 61 games this season and is showing no signs of slowing down.
Mar 4 - 7:50 PM

Taylor Hall scored a goal in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.

Hall has done nothing but produce offense over the last few weeks. His power-play goal tied the game at one at the one at the 19:27 mark of the second period, but that was the only offense the team could muster tonight. The Devils forward has now registered at least one point in each of his last 24 games. He's just the eighth player in the last 30 years to record a point in 24 consecutive appearances (Mario Lemieux (twice), Mats Sundin, Steve Yzerman, Patrick Kane, Wayne Gretzky, Brett Hull and Sidney Crosby also did it). The 26-year-old is up to 29 goals and 70 points in 60 games this season. He's a legitimate Hart Trophy candidate.
Mar 2 - 10:46 PM

Taylor Hall now possesses the record for the longest point streak in Devils' history.

As previously mentioned, Hall found the back of the net on Thursday. That gives him 23 consecutive games with at least a point, though because of a thumb injury during that run, the NHL counts it as a 16-game point streak. That 16-game streak topped those set by Patrik Elias (1999-2000) and Brian Gionta (2005-06) for the franchise record. Not that Hall was celebrating it given that the Devils suffered a 3-2 loss to Florida. "Not much, really," Hall said. "I wasn’t very good tonight. I thought our team played pretty hard, to be honest. The Panthers play hard. They play fast and in your face and it was a pretty close game for a lot of it. But, myself, the puck died on my stick a lot. That’s not good."
Mar 2 - 5:23 AM

Taylor Hall scored a goal in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Florida Panthers.

Sure, the Devils won't be pleased with the loss, but watching Hall produce has been something special. The 26-year-old has now picked up at least one point in 23 consecutive games, which is remarkable. In the last 30 years, only nine other players have been able to do the same thing (Mario Lemieux (twice), Wayne Gretzky (twice), Mats Sundin, Steve Yzerman, Patrick Kane, Brett Hull and Sidney Crosby). Hall now has 28 goals and 69 points in 59 games this season. Tonight's power-play tally was his ninth of the season.
Mar 1 - 10:39 PM

The Devils feel Taylor Hall should be in the conversation for the Hart Trophy.

"He’s got to be right up there, right?" Devils captain Andy Greene said. "He’s just been a horse. I don’t see how he cannot be up there in the top three or top five." The obvious road block to Hall winning the Hart Trophy is his position in the scoring race right now. He ranks 14th, which is impressive, but obviously not typically good enough to warrant a Hart nomination. However, Hall has been amazing lately with at least a point in each of his last 22 games. He suffered an injury during that stretch, which prevents the NHL from recognizing his streak as 22 games, but his NHL-recognized 15-game streak is still tied for the best in Devils history. Plus, if he keeps playing like this then he will likely continue to rise up the ranks in the scoring race.
Mar 1 - 7:18 AM

Taylor Hall has tied the Devils' record for the longest point streak at 15 games.

That might be confusing because Hall is actually on a 22-game point streak. The issue is that he had a thumb injury and as far as the NHL is concerned, missing time due to injury resulted in one point streak ending and then a new one starting. However you want to break it down though, Hall has been incredibly hot for a long time now.
Feb 28 - 10:25 AM

Taylor Hall scored a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Hall helped set up Kyle Palmieri's game-tying goal (1-1) in the first period. The Devils forward then added a power-play goal early in the second period to give his team a 2-1 lead at the time. The Penguins ended up tying the game, but Stefan Noesen added the game-winner for New Jersey. Hall is now riding an incredible 22-game point streak. He's just the fifth player in the last 25 years to collect at least one point in 22 straight games (Mats Sundin, Patrick Kane, Sidney Crosby and Dany Heatley are the other). He now has 27 goals and 68 points in 58 games this season. Hall has to be considered one of the most valuable players in the league in 2017-18. He's a must-start in all fantasy formats.
Feb 27 - 10:00 PM

Taylor Hall had two assists in a 2-1 win over the New York Islanders on Saturday night, extending his points streak to 21 games.

Per the NHL, Taylor Hall is the sixth player in the last 25 years, since the 1992-93 season, to have at least one point in 21 consecutive contests. He extended that streak Saturday with assists on both Kyle Palmieri goals. Hall now has 26 goals, 40 assists, and 66 points in 57 games this season.
Feb 25 - 2:37 AM

Taylor Hall is currently enjoying the longest point streak of the 2017-18 campaign.

Hall has recorded at least a point in 20 consecutive games, but in the NHL's eyes, his thumb injury ended his point streak. Even still, that leaves him with a 13-game point streak, which is the best of the season. "Twenty is a cool number," said Hall. "It seems like forever since I really didn’t have a point. It’s been nice. Unfortunately, it really hasn’t resulted in as many wins as I would have liked. At the end of the day, that’s what I’m here for. I want to keep producing but, at the same time, get more wins." Hall is correct there. The Devils haven't done a great job of taking advantage of Hall's hot play as they've gone 9-9-2 over those 20 games.
Feb 23 - 4:53 AM

Taylor Hall scored his 26th goal of the season in the New Jersey Devils' 4-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night.

Hall extends his point streak to 20 games, meaning he has scored in every single game in 2018. His goal was a power-play marker midway through the first period. The Devils actually held a 2-0 lead but the Wild scored three second period goals to cruise to victory. Hall now has 26 goals and 64 points in 56 games this season with New Jersey.
Feb 22 - 10:00 PM

Taylor Hall found the back of the net in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Hall has now picked up at least one point in each of his last 19 games. The Devils forward picked up the puck in his own end, skated up the right side and beat Jackets goalie Sergei Bobrovsky with a shot he probably should have stopped. Hall finished the game with a plus-1 rating, five shots on goal and one blocked shot in 21:22 of ice time. He isn't a Hart Trophy favorite, but his name has started coming up in the conversation lately. Nico Hischier registered the assist on New Jersey's only goal.
Feb 20 - 10:31 PM

Taylor Hall rescued the Devils on Sunday with the overtime winner in a 3-2 win over Carolina.

The Hurricanes tied up the game at 2-2 late in the third period, but Hall grabbed the extra point for New Jersey with his overtime heroics. The 26-year-old has been unstoppable lately, with at least one point in each of his last 18 games. Hall is riding an 11-game point streak since his return from a thumb injury. He is up to 24 goals and 62 points in 54 games this season.
