Nino Niederreiter popped both goals in Minnesota's 3-2 loss to Vancouver on Monday night.

Niederreiter finished off two pretty passes from Jordan Schroeder, a former 2009 Canuck draft pick, to put the Wild up 1-0 in the first period as well as to pull within a goal late in the third. El Nino also contributed two other shots and a hit in nearly 14 minutes of work. The tallies give him 18 goals, tying him with Jason Zucker for second on the team.

Nino Niederreiter scored his 16th goal in Monday's 5-3 win over Vancouver.

He scored after he was promoted to the second line alongside Mikko Koivu and Jason Pominville. Niederreiter got the chance to move up because of an injury to Jason Zucker.

Nino Niederreiter scored a goal and was a plus -2 with four shots in the Wild 2-1 win over Edmonton on Tuesday night.

It was his 15th goal of the year but just his first goal since December 13th. The 22 year-old has 22 points in 47 games and has really cooled down after a torrid scoring start to the season. The Wild as a team has struggled but if they get this secondary scoring they might be able to turn things around here in the second half. Charlie Coyle scored the other goal.
Jan 28 - 12:43 AM

Nino Niederreiter scored for the Wild in their 4-3 shootout win against the Coyotes on Saturday night.

Niederreiter’s power play goal was the game’s first tally, and ended up being one of two Wild power-play markers in the game. Zach Parise scored the other one. Niederreiter’s stats look like a pitcher's: 13 goals, three assists. He’s averaging just over two shots a game, so he’s worth keeping an eye on in fantasy leagues. Jason Zucker potted the other goal. Ryan Suter and Jason Pominville recorded two assists each.

Nino Niederreiter registered a game-high six shots in Minnesota's 4-0 loss to Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The Wild had no answer for the Kings early on. Los Angeles scored all four of their goals in the first period. Minnesota is still on a nice run (they've won five of their last seven games). Niederreiter played 14:05 in the game and was a minus-1.

Nino Niederreiter potted his 10th goal of the season in Monday's 4-1 win over Florida.

His late marker in the first period held up as the game winner. Niederreiter has been hot of late with six goals, including a three-goal effort on Nov. 13, and one assist in his past six games.

Nino Niederreiter scored a goal and added an assist in Minnesota's 3-2 win over Philadelphia on Thursday night.

The 22-year-old Swiss standout now has nine goals and 12 points so far through 18 games this season. He has six points in his last four and seems to be a shoe-in to break the 40 point plateau for the first time.

Nino Niederreiter found the net three times on Thursday night for a hat trick in the Wild's 6-3 win over Buffalo.

Niederreiter was all over the ice and might have had more points if the puck went his way a few more times. The 22-year-old forward is already halfway towards last year's goal output with seven so far, and has two assists to total nine points in 15 games this season.

Nino Niederreiter was the lone goal scorer for Minnesota in a 4-1 drubbing at the hands of the Pittsburgh Penguins Tuesday night.

The shorthanded marker was his fourth of the campaign and sixth point in 11 contests. He's not likely to win any scoring titles, but his well-rounded style of play gives him value in rotisserie formats. Ryan Suter and Jonas Brodin drew assists on the solitary goal.

Nino Niederreiter is looking to build on the success he had last season.

Neiderreiter registered 14 goals and 36 points playing primarily on Minnesota’s third line last season. The Wild do have an opening in their top-six forward group, and the 22-year-old is in the running to fill that spot. "I've been very pleased with his camp," coach Mike Yeo said. "He looks very motivated, and he looks great on the ice. We still treat Nino like a young player, so we keep pushing him every day. It's got to be about the next day. But up to this point, I've been very pleased." If he's placed in the right situation, Neiderreiter may be a good candidate for a breakout season.

Nino Niederreiter scored and assisted for the Wild in their 4-3 win over the Jets on Saturday night.

Of course, it's only the preseason, but it certainly appears the Wild have found themselves a good young player. All it took was some patience for the 22-year-old who had 14 goals and 36 points last season and should improve in this campaign. Mikael Granlund, Erik Haula and Jared Spurgeon notched the other goals. Nicklas Backstom made 14 saves on 17 shots in the full game.

Nino Niederreiter wants to be a top-six forward this season, but he's unlikely to get his wish.

The Wild already have combinations of Zach Parise-Mikael Granlund-Jason Pominville and Thomas Vanek-Mikko Koivu-Charlie Coyle at the start of camp, which will bump Niederreiter to the third line at least. However, coach Mike Yeo is encouraging him to be demanding and to strive for a higher spot.

Minnesota has inked Nino Niederreiter to a three-year, $8 million contract.

"I'm glad it's over and I'm part of the Wild family again," Niederreiter said. "I think it's all about now. The season's coming up and I think I found a way to score goals in the league and felt I got better and better as last season went on, so now I'm very happy to focus and not worry about the contract situation. Now I just want to go out there and play and really, really work on things." He notched 14 goals and 36 points, along with 175 hits, in 81 games last season during his first year with the Wild.

Nino Niederreiter's agent, Andre Rufener, believes that his client is close to re-signing with the Minnesota Wild.

Niederreiter is a restricted free agent and recently turned down a lucrative offer from a KHL club. "We are close [to a contract with the Wild], and I really hope and I truly believe that we can get it done," Rufener said. "It's in our best interest to get it done before camp [Sept. 18], so that's what we're trying to do." The contracts Niederreiter and the Wild have been discussing have ranged from two-to-six years, so it will be interesting to see what he ends up with. He had 14 goals and 36 points in 81 games in 2013-14.
