Nino Niederreiter tallied his fifth goal of the season in Tuesday's 5-3 win against Winnipeg.

He opened the scoring in the match with assists going to linemates Mikko Koivu and Jason Zucker. The Wild have been leaning on that trio since Zach Parise was injured, but Thomas Vanek's big night versus the Jets after his promotion could take some pressure off of them.
Nov 11 - 10:01 AM

Nino Niederreiter is dealing with some "lower-body tightness," according to coach Mike Yeo.

However, Niederreiter is still expected to play Thursday, so we will keep active until we hear otherwise. He has two goals in five games this year.
Oct 20 - 1:51 PM

Nino Niederreiter scored Minnesota's only goal in their 4-1 loss to Anaheim.

Niederreiter's goal at the 12:55 mark of the first period tied the game at 1-1, but the Ducks answered with three more goals of their own. The 23-year-old has two goals in five regular season games. Mikko Koivu picked up the only assist on the goal.

Nino Niederreiter (upper-body) did participate in Friday's practice.

Niederreiter left Thursday's game against Colorado in the third period and did not return. The intriguing part about this situation is that the Wild were upset at the Avalanche's medical staff for not going to see Niederreiter in the Wild's locker room. Had he been cleared, the 23-year-old would have returned to the game. The Wild contacted the NHL about the situation, and the league said they are looking into the "unusual delay".
Oct 10 - 7:13 AM

Nino Niederreiter was injured in Thursday's regular season opener after he missed on a check.

He exited the game shortly after he scored his first goal of the year early in the third period. Consider him day-to-day for now.
Oct 9 - 10:49 AM

Nino Niederreiter is expected to tested alongside Jason Zucker and Mikko Koivu at training camp.

That could drop Thomas Vanek to the third line with Charlie Coyle to start the season. Niederreiter netted a career high 24 goals last season and he earned 37 points in 80 games. He would certainly benefit from the larger role with talented players, as he averaged just 14:32 of ice time per contest last year.
Sep 17 - 11:14 AM

Nino Niederreiter put home his fourth goal of the postseason, cutting the Wild's deficit to 4-3 with 87 seconds to go. Unfortunately, they'd still fall to the Blackhawks.

Niederreiter had an excellent postseason in 2015, tying for the team lead in goals with Zach Parise with four. Which also set a new career high in goals during a single postseason for him. Niederreiter now has seven goals and 11 points in 22 playoff games spread over two postseasons.
May 8 - 12:46 AM

Nino Niederreiter feels much more comfortable in the playoffs this year.

"I definitely feel so much better with one playoff under my belt," he said. "I just know how important every game is and if you lose 6-1 [as in Game 4 of the Blues series], you put it behind you as quickly as possible and respond and win 4-1 [in Game 5]. Last year, I always was thinking about the game before and what happened. This year, it definitely feels different and I want to help lead us to something special." Niederreiter contributed three goals and three assists in 16 postseason games a year ago and he posted three goals and one assist in the last four contests of Round 1 during this playoffs.
Apr 29 - 1:25 PM

Nino Niederreiter tallied his third goal of the playoffs on Sunday in a 4-1 win over St. Louis.

For the second time during this postseason, he scored into an empty net. Niederreiter picked up four points in six games to help the Wild get into the second round with six-game series victory over the Blues.
Apr 27 - 12:38 PM

Nino Niederreiter netted his second goal of the playoffs during Friday's 4-1 Game Five victory over St. Louis.

Niederreiter made some space for himself in the slot while teammate Chris Stewart grinded away along the wall before dishing through a couple of sticks. Stewart's effort is exactly the kind of work that wins playoff games. Niederreiter's goal however, is what validates the mindset.
Apr 25 - 1:12 AM

Nino Niederreiter sealed Minnesota's Game Three 3-0 victory with an empty-netter.

Niederreiter had a great game, recording two shots, three takeaways, and four hits during his 14:16 of work which included 1:52 on the power play. It was his first tally of the playoffs, and the fourth of his career in 16 games.
Apr 20 - 11:40 PM

Nino Niederreiter is expected to suit up against St. Louis Saturday afternoon.

He missed Thursday's game with a foot injury but practised Friday and looks good to go for Saturday's matinee. Make sure you have Niederreiter active if you need him.
Apr 11 - 12:13 PM

Nino Niederreiter (foot) will miss Thursday's game.

Niederreiter was questionable for Tuesday's game due to the same ailment, but he played. The change in his status is likely due to the fact that the Wild have secured a postseason berth. In other words, he should be back in time for Game 1.
Apr 9 - 1:47 PM

Nino Niederreiter has a bruised foot, but he's projected to play Tuesday.

"I think he's going to be fine. There's no breaks," coach Mike Yeo said. "Just a bit of a bruise. I'm expecting him to play. There's no damage there." Niederreiter has a personal best 24 goals and 37 points in 78 games this campaign.
