Emerson Etem scored his fourth of season in the Ducks' 4-2 win over the Kings on Friday night.
Etem started the play by evading Matt Greene's check by the offensive blue line and shoveling it behind the net as he lost his grip. Jiri Sekac moved it along to Rickard Rakell, who ripped one across the goal line, off Martin Jones and then off Emerson Etem for the game-tying tally in the third period. Etem now has four goals and eight points in 32 games this season. Feb 28 - 1:46 AM

Emerson Etem scored a goal in the Ducks' 4-3 shootout victory on Monday.

It was Etem's first point in three games since his latest summons. He's been superb in the minors, but the 22-year-old has had a tough time establishing himself at the NHL level. He's been getting some playing time with Corey Perry lately though, which makes him worth keeping an eye on.
Feb 24 - 9:45 AM

Emerson Etem was made a late addition to Saturday's lineup versus Edmonton in place of Rene Bourque.

Still just 22 years old, Etem has a dozen goals and 27 points in his first 95 NHL games. But he also has 37 goals and 75 points in 72 games for AHL Norfolk since 2013. It's getting to be make-or-break for the young phenom.
Feb 21 - 6:36 PM

Emerson Etem and Eric Brewer will be scratched versus the Calgary Flames on Friday night.

Believe it or not, Etem is 95 games into his NHL career and is still just 22 years old. He has just 27 points in that time, but he also has 37 goals and 75 points in 72 games for AHL Norfolk since 2013. Take it for what you will, fantasy wise. The veteran Brewer has two points, six penalty minutes, eight hits, and nine blocks in seven games with the Ducks thus far. Keep an eye on his production levels if you need tough guy stats as Brewer is usually a quality source.

Emerson Etem is getting another shot to show that he's ready to play regularly in the NHL.

Etem was summoned on Wednesday to help fill the void left by Matt Beleskey (shoulder). "With Emmer, it's always been consistency," Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said. "He brings a lot when he can skate and he’s big and strong. He's got a nose for the net. At this level, you need to do it nine out of 10 games. You can't do it five out of 10 games. He knows what he has to do. He's got all the ability in the world to be a good NHL player." Etem had a minus-one rating in 8:54 minutes of ice time in a 4-1 loss to Tampa Bay Wednesday night.
Feb 19 - 9:48 AM

The Anaheim Ducks have recalled Emerson Etem.

Etem has two goals and six points in 27 contests in 2014-15. He does have more offensive upside than those numbers suggest, but we can't recommend picking him up in standard leagues at this time.
Feb 17 - 1:19 PM

The Anaheim Ducks have sent Emerson Etem to AHL Norfolk.

Etem logged just 9:48 minutes in his last contest on Dec. 31. He has plenty of offensive upside, but he hasn't adjusted to the NHL level yet. He has just two goals and six points in 27 contests in 2014-15.
Jan 2 - 6:45 PM

Emerson Etem has been recalled by Anaheim.

Etem joined Matt Beleskey and Ryan Kesler on the second line at practice. He will replace injured winger Kyle Palmieri in the lineup to close out the Ducks' road trip. Etem has two goals and four points in 21 games with Anaheim this season.

Emerson Etem has been sick with the mumps. He is the fourth Ducks player to have been infected this season.

There's no word on when Etem will be able to return to action, but he'll be doing it in Norfolk of the AHL either way as the Ducks have sent him down.

Emerson Etem has been sent to the minors.

Etem has two goals and four points in 21 games in 2014-15. He's got a fair amount of offensive upside, but we might not see much evidence of that at the NHL-level in 2014-15.

Emerson Etem and Tim Jackman will be healthy scratches Sunday night against Arizona.

Rene Bourque will fill in for Etem while Jackman is simply being sat.

Emerson Etem registered two assists in Anaheim’s 6-2 loss to Florida on Sunday.

Etem didn’t register a point in the first 13 games of the regular season, but he has two goals and two assists in his last six games. The Ducks have now lost five of their seven games in November. The only positive the Ducks can pull from this game is that Corey Perry (illness) and Kyle Palmieri (ankle) returned from the injured list.

Emerson Etem is seeing time on the Ducks first line.

Etem has taken over from the ailing Corey Perry and is playing alongside Patrick Maroon and Ryan Getzlaf. Etem scored his second of the season against the Kings on Saturday and it looks as if he will have another three games as Perry is not expected to return for another week as he lost a lot of strength recovering from the mumps. Ride him for the week if you can.

Emerson Etem scored a goal in Anaheim's 3-2 overtime loss on Wednesday.

It was Etem's first goal and point in 14 games this season. He's been averaging just 10:29 minutes per contest.

Emerson Etem is still without a point this season.

A first round pick in the 2010 Draft, Etem is looking for a new contract as his entry level deal expires at the end of this season. But the talented scorer finds himself as a fourth line player at this time. "For myself, I’m just trying to finish my checks and do all the little things defensively," Etem said. "I think when you’re playing a fourth-line role, there’s only so much offense as far as time to get on the ice and stuff that you can control. First and foremost, it’s being strong on the walls. Getting the puck out and banging. Using your body and trying to create space that way. We've got to earn our ice time and we’re going to do that first."
