Emerson Etem finished his dismal season with a five game point streak.
Four goals and five points over that span, which raised his total seven goals and 12 points in 36 games with Vancouver. Not bad, but it appears that he's not much of a fantasy asset. Apr 10 - 2:48 AM

Mar 28 - 9:53 AM

Emerson Etem's pointless streak reached 14 games on Friday.

The forward was acquired from the Rangers on January 8, and the hope was that he could team up with former Lethbridge teammate Linden Vey in the Western Canadian city. That has not happened and Etem has only three goals and five points in 31 games with Vancouver.
Mar 26 - 10:56 AM

Emerson Etem will play on Vancouver's top line with Linden Vey and Daniel Sedin.

It's a nice promotion for the young forward, but it doesn't guarantee he'll be able to fill the net up against the Kings on Monday. The 23-year-old has three goals and eight points in 40 games this season.

Jan 11 - 2:56 PM

Emerson Etem and Jared McCann will both be scratched from Saturday's match with Tampa Bay.

Unfortunately there isn't much fantasy value between either player. Etem is a career fouth liner, while McCann, still just a ten, has struggled to make an impression on the stat sheet.
Jan 9 - 8:49 PM

There is plenty of hope for the career of Emerson Etem in Vancouver.

The winger floundered in New York with the Rangers and was dealt to the Canucks on Friday. He will be reunited with his junior coach Willie Desjardins and he also spun some magic his final year of junior with Hunter Shinkaruk, who is also in the Canucks chain. Etem will look to redeem himself in Vancouver and he is worth taking a chance on at this time in deeper drafts.
Jan 9 - 10:46 AM

The Vancouver Canucks have acquired Emerson Etem from the New York Rangers in exchange for Nicklas Jensen and a 2017 sixth round pick.

This is a case of teams swapping former first rounders that haven't lived up to expectations. Etem specifically is certainly well traveled, having been drafted by the Anaheim Ducks with a pick they acquired from Philadelphia in the Chris Pronger trade. The Ducks shipped Etem to the Rangers in the summer of 2015 in a deal that also involved Carl Hagelin, but Etem never meshed well with coach Alain Vigneault's squad. He's got a better shot at finding his game in Vancouver where he'll be reunited with his former WHL coach, Willie Desjardins.
