Beau Bennett recorded an assist in Pittsburgh's 2-1 shootout loss to Chicago.
Bennett has three goals and 10 points in 23 contests in 2014-15. He has the potential to be a solid offensive contributor, but his raise in Pittsburgh has been consistently sidetracked by injuries. He's still worth keeping in mind for the 2015-16 campaign though as he should take a step forward if he can finally stay healthy. Feb 16 - 11:09 AM

Date:

Beau Bennett will be back on the ice for Wednesday's game versus Detroit.

Bennett had been scratched five times in the last six games, but will play the wing on a line with Brandon Sutter and Nick Spaling. The 23-year-old has just two goals and no assists in his last 11 games played, but before that, he had a goal and five assists in his previous nine games this season. He still has some upside for the upcoming years, but will be limited this season due to his lack of consistent ice time.

Beau Bennett is a healthy scratch for the Penguins on Saturday night.

Bennett will be in the press box for his second consecutive game, this time against the Canucks. He has eight points in 20 games this season.

It looks like the Pittsburgh Penguins will scratch Beau Bennett and Scott Harrington once again as they face the Calgary Flames on Friday night.

Bennett, 23, is on a four-game pointless streak and has eight points in 20 games in another season marred by injuries and inconsistency. It's been a tough start of the career for the 20th pick of the 2010 NHL Draft.

Beau Bennett and Scott Harrington will both be healthy scratches in Wednesday’s game in Edmonton.

Bennett just played in the Pens last game on February 1st against the Predators but with Evgeni Malkin returning to the lineup, Bennett will be watching from the press box Wednesday. He has scored three goals and five assists in 20 games played but has been rather inconsistent with his overall play. Harrington was scratched in the Penguins last game and has played in just 10 games this season without picking up a single point while posting an ugly minus 10 rating.

Feb 4 - 5:39 PM

Beau Bennett sat in the press box Friday due to his inconsistent play.

Bennett had played the previous 12 games and he usually doesn't go this long without missing a game, although it has always been because of injury in the past. "With Beau, I just thought his last couple of games could be improved," coach Mike Johnston said. He has three goals and eight points in an injury riddled 19 games this season.

Beau Bennett will be a healthy scratch against the New Jersey Devils on Friday night.

It's been a rough season for the 23 year old Bennett, as he's managed just three goals and eight points in 19 games through an injury-filled campaign. However, consider picking him up if you're in a deep league should the young man gets hot.

Beau Bennett scored a goal in a 3-2 overtime loss on Wednesday.

Bennett returned from a knee injury on Dec. 31 and has been making up for lost time since then. He has four points in four contests since his return, which brings him up to seven points in 11 games this season.

Forward Beau Bennett assisted on both of Pittsburgh's goals in the Penguins' 2-1 triumph Wednesday night over the visiting Carolina Hurricanes.

Bennett drew his first assist on on Chris Kunitz's 11th goal of the season, which tied the game at 1-1 at 19:38 of the first period. He got his second assist on Brent Sutter's game-winning goal at 18:18 of the third period. Kunitz also assisted on Sutter's goal, giving him 13 helpers on the season. Bennett doubled his number of assists for the season and now has four. The Penguins ended their four-game losing streak.

Beau Bennett (knee) took part in Wednesday's morning skate.

Bennett is feeling better, but he wouldn't say if he'll return Wednesday night. He's been devastated by health problems over the past couple seasons and that's caused him to play in just 28 NHL games since the start of the 2013-14 campaign.

Beau Bennett (knee and mumps) skated at practice Saturday.

Bennett was injured on November 24 with a knee injury and came down with the mumps a couple of weeks ago. He is apparently ahead of schedule with his return from the knee injury and worked out at home when quarantined with the mumps. "I got three vaccines and I still got it," Bennett said. "That’s just kind of the luck I’ve got right there." Can't argue with Bennett as he has had an extraordinary run of bad luck when it comes to injuries the last few years.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have confirmed that Beau Bennett has the mumps.

Bennett was previously under suspicion because he was displaying mumps-like symptoms. He was already on the sidelines due to a lower-body injury.

Beau Bennett, who was already out with a lower-body injury, might have the mumps.

Bennett has mumps-like symptoms, but the Penguins haven't been able to confirm his condition yet. The Penguins are missing Sidney Crosby due to the mumps.

Beau Bennett (lower body) didn't participate in Tuesday's practice.

Bennett has missed seven straight contests due to the ailment and is likely to be out for at least another week. He's missing a prime opportunity to get top-six minutes as the Penguins have been without wingers Chris Kunitz, Patric Hornqvist, and Pascal Dupuis.
