Date:

Beau Bennett (leg) is medically cleared to return to the Devils' lineup.

That would suggest that Bennett will be in the lineup on Tuesday, but he's also still on the injured reserve list at the moment, so nothing's official. The Devils need to clear a roster spot for him and it wasn't immediately clear how they would chose to do that. He has a goal and seven points in 20 contests this season.
Dec 5 - 2:21 PM

Beau Bennett (leg) has been put on injured reserve by the Devils.

He suffered a leg laceration during Monday's practice, so he won't be in the lineup on Thursday and Saturday. Bennett is listed as day-to-day.
Nov 30 - 5:24 PM

Beau Bennett will sit out Tuesday's game at Winnipeg due to a right leg laceration.

He suffered the injury during Monday's practice and didn't make the trip with the team. Bennett is considered day-to-day and he is working out back in New Jersey.
Nov 29 - 12:33 PM

Beau Bennett had two assists in the Devils' 4-1 win over Carolina on Sunday.

Bennett now has three assists in 10 contests this season. He does have some untapped offensive upside still, but he's averaging just 12:01 minutes per contest with the Devils.
Nov 7 - 9:24 AM

Beau Bennett will be joined by Reid Boucher and Steven Santini in the press box for Thursday's opener against Florida.

We know that both Bennett and Boucher have the talent to score, but neither have put it together. They've scored less than 50 combined goals at the NHL level in parts of the last four seasons. So you shouldn't consider them even as sleepers until they prove otherwise.
Oct 13 - 6:45 PM

Beau Bennett was taken off the Devils' top line during Thursday's practice.

Devils coach John Hynes doesn't believe Bennett has done enough to earn that role with Taylor Hall and Adam Henrique. Devante Smith-Pelly was given a chance to skate with Hall and Henrique instead, but whether that group remains intact either is unknown. Keep an eye on this situation as the third player on that first line could have a significant amount of fantasy value this season.
Oct 7 - 10:18 AM

Beau Bennett was part of the Devils' top line with Taylor Hall and Adam Henrique Wednesday night.

Obviously preseason lines need to be taken with a grain of salt, but it will be interesting to see if that's where Bennett ends up. He had so much promise as a top-six forward early in his career, but the 24-year-old has been plagued by injuries and hasn't been particularly productive offensively when he is healthy. However, he's got a fresh opportunity after being sent from Pittsburgh to New Jersey.
Oct 6 - 9:38 AM

Beau Bennett is thrilled about his chance to play with the New Jersey Devils.

Bennett was picked up by the Devils in a trade with the Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins at the Entry Draft and the Devils re-signed him to a one-year deal worth $725,000. The oft-injured forward has always been highly regarded but just when he makes some headway, it seems like he gets hurt. He has just 16 goals and 45 points in 129 games in four NHL seasons and needs to stay healthy one season to show what he is capable of doing. He had 12 points in 33 games last season.
Sep 25 - 8:43 AM

The New Jersey Devils have re-signed Beau Bennett to a one-year/$725,000 contract.

Bennett was dealt from the Penguins at the Entry Draft but the Devils did not give him a qualifying offer. But that did not matter as Bennett re-signed and was given a one-way contract. Bennett is a goal scorer but he has been injury-prone of late and as a result he has not been a fantasy target in pools. That could change next season as he has the capability to score 20-25 goals, if, and that's a big if, he can remain healthy.

Jul 1 - 2:35 PM

Beau Bennett didn't get a qualifying offer from the New Jersey Devils.

The Devils still hope to sign Bennett before he becomes an unrestricted free agent on Friday. New Jersey sent a third-round pick (No. 77 overall) to Pittsburgh to acquire him at the draft.
Jun 27 - 5:22 PM

The New Jersey Devils acquired Beau Bennett from the Penguins in exchange for the 77th overal pick in the 2016 entry draft.

The Penguins selected defenseman Connor Hall with the pick. Bennett, who was a huge disappointment the last few seasons in Pittsburgh, remains an intriguing project. Devils' GM Ray Shero knows Bennett well as he was involved in drafting him while in Pittsburgh. It will be interesting to see whether New Jersey can coax more than the 12 points (in 33 games) out of Bennett this upcoming season. The Devils have had recent success in reviving the career of Kyle Palmieri.
Jun 25 - 11:24 AM

Beau Bennett isn't in the lineup for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final.

The Penguins haven't used Bennett since May 22. He might have been inserted in if Bryan Rust (upper body) wasn't available, but in the end Rust was able to play.
Jun 1 - 8:17 PM

Beau Bennett could be an option for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final.

He logged just 11:18 of ice time in his return from a shoulder injury in Game 5 against Tampa Bay. "If I'm slotted in there, I've got to be able to make a contribution right away," Bennett said. "I think I was maybe playing a little too cautious my first time around there." It was his first appearance since April 5 during the regular season. Bennett may get a chance to fill in for Bryan Rust, who was injured on Monday.
May 31 - 4:34 PM

Beau Bennett is expected to be a healthy scratch in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final.

Bennett made his return to the Penguins' lineup in Game 5 after being out since April 5 with an undisclosed injury. The Bennett experiment didn't end up lasting very long. Derrick Pouliot and Oskar Sundqvist are also expected to watch from the press box tonight. The Penguins are one loss away from being eliminated from the 2016 playoffs. If the Pens pull off a win in Game 6, the two teams would play Game 7 in Pittsburgh on Thursday.
