Coach Mike Sullivan said that Bennett "obviously aggravated" an earlier injury on Saturday, which is suspected to be his shoulder. Bennett didn't practice Monday because he was being evaluated.

Beau Bennett (shoulder) took part in Friday's practice.

Bennett even participated in battle drills, testing the readiness of his shoulder. This was his third practice with the team since being hurt. "Today I felt really good, actually," Bennett said on Friday. "As much as you don't want to admit it, every time you come back from an injury, you're a little bit nervous. You don't want to mess up. You want to act like you've been playing the whole time. So that first day, I was feeling the rust. I wasn't feeling the puck very well. Today was a lot better."
Jan 23 - 6:02 AM

Beau Bennett may be able to practice with his teammates soon, according to Pittsburgh coach Mike Sullivan.

He was on the ice Monday in St. Louis under the watchful eye of the Penguins' team doctor and trainer. Bennett hasn't played since Dec. 14 because of an upper-body injury
Jan 18 - 6:12 PM

Beau Bennett (upper body) is still on schedule to return in mid-Late January.

Bennett suffered an upper body injury on December 14 and is definitely getting closer to returning. It won't be this week however. Bennett has five goals and 10 points in 24 games this season.
Jan 10 - 10:17 AM

Beau Bennett (upper body) was off to a great start before getting injured.

Bennett teased the hockey world in 2012-13 with three goals and 14 points in 26 games but injuries the last two seasons have placed the expectations on his fantasy value to a real low. He has five goals and 10 points this season which is a lot better than the last couple of seasons. He is out another two-four weeks.

The Penguins announced earlier today that Bennett would be sidelined for four-to-six weeks after he was injured Monday night versus Washington.

Beau Bennett left Monday's game against the Washington Capitals because of a shoulder injury.

Beau Bennett scored twice in the Penguins' 4-2 win over Colorado on Wednesday.

It was Bennett's first multi-goal game of the season and his fourth point in his last four games. The 24 year-old has five goals and five assists for 10 points in 22 games. Matt Cullen and Patric Hornqvist scored the other goals for the Penguins.

Beau Bennett was moved up during Saturday's game and played on a line with Sidney Crosby.

Bennett replaced Pascal Dupuis on the top line as Chris Kunitz manned the other wing. Bennett had an assist on the Olli Maatta goal and was a plus-two on the afternoon. Bennett's fantasy value will take a big jump playing alongside Crosby rather than Nick Bonino as his center. Bennett has three goals and eight points in 20 games this season but look for a lot more if he remains with Crosby.
Sun, Dec 6, 2015 09:17:00 AM

Beau Bennett and Chris Kunitz each had nine hits on Saturday.

That may be the most since Rennie Stennett had seven in the late 70's with the Pirates. On a serious note, Bennett continues to be a disappointment, as least offensively, as he has only three goals and six points in 18 games this season with a minus-eight rating.

Beau Bennett practiced alongside Sidney Crosby and Pascal Dupuis on Monday.

That would be a big opportunity for Bennett if that line was used on Wednesday against Montreal. Bennett has two goals and three points in nine games, but he does have more offensive upside than those numbers imply.
Tue, Nov 10, 2015 09:20:00 AM

Beau Bennett (undisclosed) will return to the Pittsburgh Penguins' lineup on Wednesday.

Bennett missed five straight games after sustaining the injury while celebrating a goal. Penguins coach Mike Johnston wouldn't say what line Bennett would start the game on, but it might be academic anyways because the bench boss is considering moving Bennett around as the game progresses.
