Jarred Tinordi will be a healthy scratch Saturday night against Toronto.
He along with Ryan White will sit in the press box and give way to Douglas Murray and Rene Bourque, respectively. We doubt this will impact on your fantasy fortunes much. Mar 22 - 12:08 PM

Jarred Tinordi has played in four games with Montreal following the Olympic break.

He has been collecting some hits and blocks, but in Monday's loss to Los Angeles he dropped the gloves with Kings forward Kyle Clifford to try to create some energy. "After the Tinordi fight, once we started supporting each other, we had some chances but we couldn't take advantage," said Canadiens winger Brendan Gallagher. "(But) the first 10 minutes. they were coming through." Tinordi is a rugged defender, but he doesn't have any fantasy value yet.
Mar 4 - 8:35 AM

Jarred Tinordi was called up by Montreal on Sunday and he's expected to practice with the team on Monday.

He has suited up in six games with the Canadiens this campaign, but he's spent the majority of the 2013-14 season in the AHL with Hamilton. In the minors, he has produced nine points and 70 penalty minutes in 47 contests.

Jarred Tinordi has been sent down to AHL Hamilton.

Tinordi has no points and nine penalty minutes in six games this season. He doesn't have much offensive upside, but if he eventually earns a permanent spot with the Canadiens, then he might accumulate enough penalty minutes to make him worth owning in some leagues.

Jarred Tinordi was a healthy scratch Tuesday.

He watched the Canadiens' 3-0 win over Winnipeg from the press box, as Nathan Beaulieu played instead. In four appearances this year, Tinordi has seven penalty minutes, eight hits, five blocks and a minus-1 rating.

Jarred Tinordi has made Montreal's roster for the start the regular season.

Coach Michel Therrien, who also announced that Michael Bournival had made the Canadiens' 23-man roster, didn't commit to saying either skater would play when the season opens and there could be some more changes over the weekend.

Jarred Tinordi was very physical in Montreal's 3-1 preseason loss to Carolina.

That wasn't universally a positive though as Tinordi gave the Hurricanes a 2-on-1 breakaway while Tinordi was delivering a big hit on Tuomo Ruutu. Carolina's Jeff Skinner capitalized on the opportunity. "He's got to read at the time when to throw those big hits because the big hits they're going to come," Canadiens coach Michel Therrien said. Due to injuries, Tinordi's chances of making Montreal's opening game roster have significantly improved recently.

Jarred Tinordi's odds of making Montreal's opening night roster have improved with a slew of Canadiens nursing injuries.

Davis Drewiske will be sidelined for at least four weeks due to a shoulder injury, so there's room for Tinordi. Doug Murray and Francis Bouillon are suffering from "training-camp injuries," according to coach Michel Therrien so they aren't expected to out for very long.

Jarred Tinordi is a longshot to make the Canadiens out of training camp.

Despite Tinordi's obvious talent he will have a difficult time breaking into the top seven in 2013-14. With roster spots assured for P.K. Subban, Josh Gorges, Andrei Markov, Rafael Diaz, Francis Bouillon and Douglas Murray, and with Davis Drewiske in reserve, Tinordi and fellow youngster Nathan Beaulieu will likely be honing their skills in the AHL. Don't forget him, though. He, as well as Beaulieu, still make nice reserve roster picks.

Rookie defenseman Jarred Tinordi is proving himself to be playoff-ready with his performance through two games.

Tinordi has yet to contribute offensively, but he's playing to his strength as he registered four hits and three blocked shots in Friday's win over the Senators. "I think the playoffs are good for my style," said Tinordi. "I'm not out there to score goals. I'm realizing what kind of defenseman I am and I'm comfortable playing in defensive situations." Like his father, former NHLer Mark, Tinordi adds an element of toughness to the blue line that any team would welcome.

Jarred Tinordi has added some physicality to Montreal's lineup that has been absent since Alexei Emelin got injured.

"His physical presence is tough to match. At 6-6, he's a big, physical guy," said teammate Josh Georges after Saturday's win over Toronto. "I think after being sent down and coming back, he has a little more bite in this game. He wants to be a guy who has an impact and tonight he stepped up on the PK and had some big hits." He registered four hits and a plus-2 rating against the Leafs and had an assist, with a plus-1 rating, versus Winnipeg last Thursday. He will probably get the nod to start the playoffs on Montreal's blueline.

Jarred Tinordi will join the Montreal Canadiens and he'll enter the lineup Thursday night against Winnipeg.

There's only two games left, but this is significant news after his name was added to the team's roster earlier this week to play on the Habs' Black Aces squad. Tinordi only has six NHL games under his belt, but it's clear the Canadiens want to look at him before the playoffs start. That will come against the Jets on Thursday and Saturday at the Leafs. The team's 22nd-overall pick from the 2010 draft has a very real chance to carve out a postseason role if he impresses. No word yet on who will be removed from the lineup on Thursday. "I definitely didn’t expect this, but it’s definitely a good surprise," Tinordi said. Tinordi had 13 points in 67 AHL games this year, to go with one in the NHL.

Montreal Canadiens reassign Jarred Tinordi to AHL Hamilton.

Tinordi played in six games since being recalled March 14. He had one assist, two penalty minutes and was a plus-2 during that time.

Jarred Tinordi is expected to make his NHL debut on Saturday.

Jarred's father Mark Tinordi, who is a former All-Star and a veteran of 663 NHL games, will be among those in attendance. "I think he's pretty excited," Jarred Tinordi said. "Obviously he has brought me up in hockey. This is a big moment for me, but it's a big moment for him, too." The younger Tinordi is a 2010 first round pick and has recorded 11 points and 51 penalty minutes in 55 AHL games this season. He's never done a ton offensively, which obviously hurts his potential fantasy value. At the same time, he's worth keeping an eye on for those who like to get their PIM from blueliners when possible.

Montreal has recalled Jarred Tinordi from AHL Hamilton.
