Toffoli found the back of the net with his team trailing 3-0 in the third period. Anze Kopitar and Jeff Carter picked up the assists on the power play goal. Toffoli has four goals and five assists in 14 games this season. He's now scored in back-to-back games.

Tyler Toffoli figures it is only a matter of time before the goals start coming more frequently.

He scored his first goal on Thursday since the Kings' season opener. "I thought I was getting a lot of chances to be honest," said Toffoli on Friday. "I thought last night I was getting a lot again, and I think that's kind of the way it goes – you score a goal like that. But as long as I'm getting the chances and making plays and getting to the net, that's kind of what matters, and at some point they're going to start going again." He has racked up 24 shots in seven games and he has registered six points.

"I think this year, especially, we all have to come in and earn our spots," Toffoli said. "After the past two seasons, it's a disappointment for us. We know what we had, especially last year. We let ourselves down." He played alongside Jeff Carter and Milan Lucic, who left for Edmonton as a free agent, for most of the 2015-16 campaign. Toffoli said he was sorry to see Lucic leave, but he remains confident that Los Angeles has the pieces to be a top contender.

Trevor Lewis and Andy Andreoff accounted for Los Angeles' other two markers. Milan Lucic finished with three assists, giving him 49 points in 74 games. Brayden McNabb assisted on two of the Kings' six goals.
