Tyler Toffoli is enjoying a resurgent season.

Toffoli has 13 goals and 19 points in 29 games after being limited to 34 points in 63 contests last season, due in part to a knee injury. Meanwhile, the Kings as a whole have been better in 2017-18 as they have a 18-8-3 record after missing the playoffs last season. "I feel pretty good," Toffoli said. "Obviously, when you’re playing with more confidence and you don’t have something in the back of your mind, I think your play becomes better. It’s been good so far. We’re winning games and we’re just going to keep going."
Dec 7 - 9:24 AM

Tyler Toffoli scored a pair of goals in Friday's 4-1 win over the St. Louis Blues.

Toffoli's first goal gave the Kings a 1-0 lead early in the first period, while his second tally made it 4-1 in the third frame. The Kings forward now has three goals in his last two contests. Toffoli has 13 goals and six assists in 27 games this season. Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe also scored for the Kings in this one.
Dec 1 - 11:09 PM

Tyler Toffoli scored a goal and registered an assist in a 4-0 win over Florida on Saturday.

Toffoli's marker was the first of the game, so it also counts as the game-winner. Andy Andreoff, Jonny Brodzinski, and Trevor Lewis each found the back of the net for the Kings. Dustin Brown, Nic Dowd, Jussi Jokinen, Tanner Pearson, Drew Doughty, and Adrian Kempe each recorded an assist on Saturday.
Nov 18 - 6:47 PM

Tyler Toffoli has swaped spots with Trevor Lews in the Kings' lineup.

That's not good news for Toffoli owners as he will now be skating on the team's third line alongside Nick Shore and Andy Andreoff instead of the Kings' second unit alongside Tanner Pearson and Adrian Kempe. We're not sure how long this shuffle will last but for now keep Toffoli's role in mind when determining if he is rosterable.
Nov 18 - 11:59 AM

Tyler Toffoli scored his eighth goal of the season in a 5-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday night.

The forward extended his scoring streak to four games and also has eight points in seven games for the Kings. His came a little too late in Thursday night's encounter against Tampa, but at least Toffoli is still producing. With eight goals in 16 games, he now has half the goals he scored last season.
Nov 10 - 1:19 AM

Tyler Toffoli scored two goals in a 5-3 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday night.

Tyler Toffoli's two-goal game is his second in less than a week. They were both supposed to be insults to injury on a scoreline that was well in the Kings' favor. The Leafs scored three unanswered and now Toffoli's goals stand as the game-winner and insurance marker. Toffoli now shares his team's goal scoring lead with Anze Kopitar with seven goals. He's continuing to live up to his newfound expectations since signing a $14 million dollar contract extension.
Nov 3 - 1:21 AM

Tyler Toffoli scored two goals, including an overtime winner, against the Boston Bruins on Saturday night.

Toffoli tied the game in the first before a buzzer-beating goal gave the Kings a victory in overtime on Saturday. His first multi-goal game of the season couldn't have come at a better time for Los Angeles, and their great start to the season rolls on.

Oct 28 - 10:02 PM

Tyler Toffoli scored a goal in the Kings' 2-0 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday.

Toffoli is in year one of a three-year contract extension that's supposed to pay him nearly $14 million. The 25-year old is also trying to improve on a down 2016-17 where he only scored 16 times and suffered injuries. Toffoli is still one of LA's premier young talents so he'll be counted on for goals whenever possible.
Oct 6 - 1:44 AM

Tyler Toffoli scored a goal in a 4-3 shootout win over the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday.

Toffoli is looking to rebound big after a disappointing season due to multiple injuries. He underwent a procedure to correct a knee issue in late April and is now fully recovered. He should bounce back to 25+ goals this season if he remains healthy. Nick Shore and Jake Muzzin also scored for the Kings in the win.
Sep 23 - 2:03 PM

Tyler Toffoli's recovery from knee surgery is going well.

Toffoli underwent the procedure in late April and he expects to be fine by the time training camp starts. As previously reported, Los Angeles inked him to a three-year, $13.8 million extension on Wednesday.
Jun 8 - 3:08 PM

The Los Angeles Kings have signed Tyler Toffoli to a three-year, $13.8 million extension.

That's a very reasonable cap hit of $4.6 million. Toffoli missed 19 games because of a lower-body injury in 2016-17, but he still managed to put up a respectable 16 goals and 18 assists in 63 games. Two seasons ago, when the 25-year-old was fully healthy, he scored 31 goals and 58 points in 82 games. If he stays healthy next season, he's fully capable of hitting the 30-goal mark again.
Jun 7 - 8:29 PM

There is "nothing really going on" in terms of contract talks with Tyler Toffoli at this time.

However, that will probably change soon, as agent Pat Brisson expects talks to pick up again. "Tyler this year played on one leg. He was hurt," Brisson told Steve Kouleas on SiriusXM's NHL Network Tuesday. "He missed 21 games, and I would say, honestly, I think he played probably another 20 on one leg, so, yeah, he had a little drop in his production as well as other players on the team, but he's a true offensive threat out there. He's a 25-to-35 goal scorer and still young, so he’s in a great position. You've got to identify your core. I think he’s a core player on the LA Kings. He's a top-six forward, so we'll be talking here shortly. His deal is up about [and we'll talk about] what we could potentially do."
May 10 - 4:31 PM

Tyler Toffoli will be a restricted free agent this summer.

He is coming off a two-year pact worth $6.5 million. The Kings just announced a two-year contract with an annual average of value of $3.75 million for Tanner Pearson on Tuesday. A team source said recently that "they want to be here and we want them to be here," and that the team was "actively working diligently" to get them signed.
May 10 - 4:02 PM

Tyler Toffoli has undergone a minor surgical procedure on his left knee.

He is expected to be ready for the start of training camp. Toffoli had 16 goals and 34 points in 63 games during the 2016-17 campaign.
