In case you hadn't noticed, Charlie Coyle is becoming a very valuable fantasy asset.

He is playing on Minnesota's top line with Eric Staal and Zach Parise and also plays on the team's first power-play unit. Coyle is also shooting more than he has in the past and that is leading to positive results. In fact, he has more three-shot games than any other Wild player with 13 in 21 contests. If for some reason your competitiors haven't caught on to Coyle, try and get him. He won't be anonymous for long.

Forward Charlie Coyle scored once in an attempt to cool the Blues, but it was not enough as the Wild lost a 4-3 contest Saturday night.

Coyle scored his eighth goal of the season late in the third to tie the game and force it into overtime. Coyle shot from inside the crease and it soared past Blues goalie Jake Allen’s right pad with 1:08 remaining. This was Coyle’s third goal in the last two games after scoring two in Friday night's game against the Penguins.

Nov 11 - 9:38 AM

Charlie Coyle scored in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the St. Louis Blues.

Coyle's goal at the 12:49 mark of the third period cut St. Louis' lead to one goal, but that's as close as Minnesota would come to tying the game. Jason Zucker and Zac Dalpe picked up the assists on Coyle's first goal of the season. The 24-year-old hit the 20-goal mark for the first time in his career last season and he should be able to reach that mark again in 2016-17.
Oct 14 - 12:10 AM

Charlie Coyle is suffering from a lower-body injury.

Coyle is slated to skate on Minnesota's top line, so hopefully this injury won't linger until the start of the regular season. Consider him day-to-day for now.
Oct 4 - 11:44 AM

The Wild will finally ice their top unit of Zach Parise, Eric Staal and Charlie Coyle.

The three will play together Sunday night for the first time in the pre-season against the Hurricanes. Coyle could really put up some points playing alongside Parise and Staal so keep an eye out to monitor his success.
Oct 2 - 1:27 PM

Charlie Coyle is projected to start the 2016-17 campaign at right wing.

"You never know," Coyle said. "It could change as it has quite a few times if there are injuries or whatever happens in game. I'll be ready, but it is nice to know I'll be playing the wing, starting there and get a feel there in practice, get some reps in and just feel comfortable there." He played better on the wing than he did at center last season. Coyle is penciled in to play with Zach Parise and Eric Staal this year.
Sep 29 - 9:28 AM

Charlie Coyle registered his first goal of the series in a 3-2 loss to Dallas in Game 4 on Wednesday night.

He has notched a goal and an assist in the last two games, but the Wild can be eliminated from the postseason on Friday. Coyle gave Minnesota a 2-1 lead in the contest before the Stars took a 3-2 lead going into the third period. He also ended a 21-game goal drought, going back to the regular season.
Apr 21 - 9:04 AM

Despite a lackluster second half of the season, Wild forward Charlie Coyle believes his team can beat anyone in the playoffs.

"It’s been a weird year, but we know we’re capable of beating anybody, and it’s up to every one in here to prove it again," said Coyle. "We have a team that beat some very good teams in the first round the last two years, and we now we have to do it again. Everyone’s excited for it." The Wild really backed into the playoffs, but they'll take a spot in the postseason any way they can. One thing the Wild has going for them is experience. They have 13 players on the roster (including Coyle) who've played at least 23 playoff games in their career. They have a first round matchup against the Dallas Stars.
Apr 10 - 10:21 AM

Charlie Coyle is expected to play center in Sunday's game against Winnipeg.

Mar 25 - 9:55 AM

Charlie Coyle said he owes much of his breakout season to the tutelage of Glen Tucker, who has worked with several NHLers on their shots.

"He just knows the technique and works on shooting from uncomfortable positions," Coyle said. "That's hockey. How many times do you get the puck in the slot and you can cock it with perfect form? It's not a lot. So you've got to be able to spring it from anywhere as quick as you can. He calls it a twitch." He has scored a personal best 21 goals this campaign after netting 23 in his previous two seasons combined.
