Charlie Coyle has been added to the Team USA roster at the IIHF World Hockey Championships currently taking place in the Czech Republic.

Coyle is one of the more effective third-line players in the game and will certainly help the American squad as they attempt to win a medal in Prague.

Charlie Coyle is projected to play on the second line with Mikko Koivu and Jason Zucker in Game 4.

He had been playing center on the third line, but now he'll occupy a spot on the wing. Coyle and Zucker have played often together and he has played with Koivu in the past. He has one goal and one assist in nine postseason matches.
May 7 - 4:26 PM

Charlie Coyle scored his first goal of the playoffs, helping to seal Minnesota's 4-1 Game Five victory on Friday night.

Coyle's role was important, he got himself open and hit the net. But it was Thomas Vanek's hard work that helped set up the tally. Vanek beat Blues defender Jay Bouwmeester to the puck by the penalty box and rushed for the net. After being forced into the far corner, Vanek maintained control despite being surrounded by Bouwmeester, Patrik Berglund, and Alex Pietrangelo and found Coyle top of the right offensive corner for the one-timer.
Apr 25 - 1:21 AM

Charlie Coyle believes the Wild are still in a good spot even after dropping game two on Saturday night.

The Wild took it to the Blues in game one, but St. Louis was able to respond with a big win on home ice. The series has been physical and Coyle liked the way his team responded in that department. "They came out physical, and we matched it if not better," Coyle said. "We’re in a good position. It’s a tied series right now, going back home [Monday]. We’ll take that."
Apr 19 - 10:30 AM

Charlie Coyle scored a sneaky goal on Jonathan Bernier off a late first period faceoffs for his 11th of the season.

Coyle intentionally lost the faceoff, instead opting to intercept Trevor Smith's pull back to the point. The initial shot was flubbed, and Thomas Vanek would eventually put the puck on goal before Coyle finished on the rebound. Coyle now has 34 points in 73 games this season.
Mar 24 - 12:44 AM

Charlie Coyle had two assists in Saturday's 6-3 win over St. Louis.

Coyle's line (Thomas Vanek and Justin Fontaine) had a strong night against the Blues. The trio combined for six points in the contest. Coyle finished the night with a plus-2 rating, one shot on goal, four hits and one takeaway in just over 11 minutes of ice time. The 23-year-old has two multi-point efforts in his last three games and he has an overall stat line of 10 goals and 33 points in 72 games.
Mar 22 - 9:56 AM

Charlie Coyle scored a pair of goals for the Wild Tuesday night as they outlasted Nashville by a score of 3-2 in overtime.

He has 10 markers on the year now and his point total stands at a respectable 31 in 70 games, including four in his last four contests. Matt Dumba also scored for the Wild, as his overtime winner earned the team two points.
Mar 17 - 10:57 PM

Charlie Coyle found the back of the net in a 3-1 victory versus Carolina on Friday.

It was Coyle's first goal since Feb. 7. After recording 30 points in 70 contests in 2013-14, the 23-year-old forward hasn't been able to take a significant step forward this season in terms of his offensive production. Nevertheless, it wouldn't be shocking to see him set a new career-high in 2015-16.
Mar 7 - 10:46 AM

Charlie Coyle’s goal was the difference for the Wild in their 1-0 win over the Avalanche on Saturday night.

Coyle deflected Marco Scandella’s slap shot past Semyon Varlamov in the second period. He has seven goals and 21 points this season. Nino Niederreiter got the other assist. While it won’t show on the scoresheet, Jared Spurgeon was on the ice for 28 shot attempts for, compared to just seven against, leading the team with a 21-shot differential.
Feb 7 - 11:03 PM

Charlie Coyle scored a highlight reel goal to give Minnesota a 2-1 win over Edmonton on Tuesday night.

"He came out a little more than I expected," said Coyle referring to goaltender Viktor Fasth. "Once I got down there, I was too close. I pulled it back and luckily I put it away." He managed to tuck the puck into the net from beyond the goal line to display his great hands. Coyle has six goals and 20 points in 47 matches this year.
Jan 28 - 11:20 AM

Charlie Coyle scored a goal in Minnesota's 3-1 win over Arizona on Saturday night.

The 22-year-old played a strong game for the Wild. Coyle has been playing better of late, but he hasn't taken a step forward offensively. He has five goals, 19 points and a minus-4 rating in 44 games this season. Coyle is still young and he still has a good amount of potential.
Jan 18 - 9:17 AM

Charlie Coyle scored the Minnesota Wild's lone goal in a 3-1 loss to the Nashville Predators on Saturday.

Coyle now has four goals and 14 assists for 18 points in 40 games this season. The 22-year-old is a nice complimentary player for the Wild, but probably isn't quite there as far as his fantasy value is concerned (at least in typical leagues).
Jan 10 - 5:20 PM

Charlie Coyle will Coyle center Jason Zucker and Nino Niederreiter on their second line Tuesday night against the Sharks.

None of these three players are must-have scoreres, but with each scoring at a near-half point per game clip, so it could be worth picking up Niederreiter who leads with 14 goals on a spot-start.

Charlie Coyle scored his first goal since Oct. 23 in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers.

He snapped a 26-game goalless drought. Coyle has registered four points in his past 14 games, with three coming in his last two contests. The 22-year-old has potential, but he's been a disappointment thus far.
